Once upon a time, there was a princess who lived alone in her castle. She was the only heir to the kingdom, and the palace was nearly empty, so she rarely spoke to a soul. Then came a lone traveler from a faraway land, who befriended the princess, not as royalty, as he did not know much about any of that, but as the wild-spirited girl that she was. And so they danced together through the empty ballrooms. They shared meals and talked late into the night. The princess wished that this stranger would never leave. So she asked him to stay, to be her prince, and chase away the emptiness of her lonely castle.
Him, a stranger wandering the world, and her, a lonely princess, who knew they would come together and change each other’s lives? He could fill the emptiness in her heart. And him, he was a traveler. Maybe someday, she thought, he would take her on an adventure, far from her palace and everything that she had known. How grand, she thought, it would be to see the world.

As the title suggests, 5 times throughout Renora's relationship where the iconic "boop" was used.

Author’s Note:
This started as a rough idea during/after the initial attempt at Renora week.
It starts off a bit more abstract and gets more fic-like as each occurrence takes on. So Time #1 is pretty brief. Basically, I just wasn't sure how to write about them pre-Beacon, lol.
I'll be posting each occurrence as a different chapter because I. Don't actually have Time #5 finished. But I wanted to have something posted for Renora Week Day 2: Boop!

1. Childhood - shortly after they found each other. Nora loved Ren as a friend but knew how he hid his feelings - both figuratively and literally. And Nora didn’t want to make him uncomfortable, so she kept her big emotions pretty hidden away. One day, Ren injured himself (something minor, like a scrape or twisted ankle) but was obviously in pain. (He hadn’t mastered his aura yet.) She wanted to comfort him but wasn’t sure how. Instead, she kneeled down next to him and booped his nose for the first time. It made him laugh one of his rare, actual laughs. She wasn’t sure she’d heard one from him since they met. She knew she wanted to hear it again. He’d saved her life - the least she could do was make him laugh every now and again.

Happy Renora week everyone! Motivation was unfortunately too low to write any full fanfics this time (😔) but that doesn’t mean I can’t participate! I don’t know why those two above lines came to me after I heard the prompt and made my moodboard, but they just did. They speak to me.

So, it's no secret Renora week didn't go SUPER hard this year- even I dropped the ball on it SO How about a re-do?
Same prompts, but more time to do it?
I was thinking March 3rd-9th so it lines up with the 3 year anniversary of Risk.
How about it?

Late submissions are ALWAYS welcome! It's okay if you didn't finish them during the week, I'M not even gonna finish my fics this week because I'm also con crunching! The point is to share some love for one of the RWBY ships ever. The week was selected because it's the Anniversary of A Night Off. But it's also a busy time of year!
