SWTOR Headcanon: The fate of Leontyne Saresh

The failure of Leontyne Saresh to usurp the Outlander as Commander of the Eternal Alliance is one of the most talked about moments during "Knights of the Eternal Throne". Many if not most players thoroughly enjoy her downfall, and I've seen more than a few just "take her out" even if their characters were not particularly dark-side.

My main OC in the Halcyon Legacy is Corellan Halcyon. To those who aren't familiar, he's… a bit of a goody two-shoes. Former Jedi Knight. I literally only have two dark-side choices on my playthrough.

So killing Saresh wasn't a real option for him, tempting as it was.

But what happens to her?

In my headcanon, she is given a (very) secure prison cell on the lowest level of the Alliance base, with security measures designed by Lana Beniko and Theron Shan keeping her under lock and key.

The (current) Supreme Chancellor and (most of) the Galactic Senate want nothing to do with Saresh. And they recognize the necessity of maintaining relations with the Eternal Alliance. BUT - politically, they need to keep Saresh's old supporters in line. There are too many of them, and if the Senate didn't try to free her, at best, they would force a constitutional crisis. At worst, they could spark a violent uprising.

So once a year, the Senate of the Galactic Republic formally requests that Saresh be released, all while privately imploring the Alliance to keep her locked up.

It got to the point where - during negotiations on a formal treaty - Lana Beniko threatened her counterpart with releasing Saresh. The diplomat quickly caved to her terms.

Meanwhile, Saresh is still locked up.

Eventually, she gets a next door neighbor in Syndic Zenta, the Chiss head of House Inrokini from "A Traitor Among the Chiss".

Haven't thought about Canja in so long @magicallulu7 so thanks for the excuse!

The most important thing to Canja is her family. Every action that she takes is ultimately to aid the wider Xallaj family that is spread across the Empire. So, while she ultimately does what she can to ensure the Empire's continued survival and well-being, her motivations are to help her vast extended family gain power for themselves.

The Xallaj family is actually a highly influential slave family that has spent centuries building up a network that spans the entire Sith Empire. With eyes and ears everywhere, Canja gained a spy network that rivaled Imperial and later Sith Intelligence once she rose to the Dark Council. It made eliminating enemies and ensuring there would be no reprisals against those responsible quite easy for her.

Canja Xallaj's family can actually trace their relationship with Dark Jedi all the way back to the Hundred-Year Darkness (Second Great Schism) where members of the family acted as mercenaries during the conflict. They found great glory and wealth during the century of war and would later offer their services once again when Tulak Hord and Aloysius Kallig began their own wars.

It’s a real good thing Luke Skywalker was an incredibly famous respected hero of the Rebellion.

Because Luke really was like “Hey, first class, congrats on coming to my new praxeum, I just learned that word from Leia. I’m sorry yer the test dummies for learning how to teach Jedi. I’m your Jedi Grandmaster Luke Skywalker. I had a month long seminar with Grandmaster Yoda, and then he died making me Grandmaster through attrition. I’ve had a self guided study since of whatever I could scrape together from what the Empire didn’t destroy. The New Republic has been nice enough to let us squat in the historic abandoned Yavin Base. Don’t mind the nearby Sith Lord or comatose Jedi Master furry in nearby temples, they’re not important…yet.”

A bit of a confession

I've...somewhat outgrown Theron Shan. I don't hate him as a character and he was my closet key, but I came to the realization I'm not as obsessed over him as I thought I was.

So, for Artek, he's been demoted from Love Interest. Instead, a character with 0 romance options will take his place as my Knight's love interest...

Random thing I want to see in SWTOR:

I want to see Lana Beniko just freaking lose it. I want to see her at her breaking point and unleash all of her rage and anguish on her enemy(ies).

I want to see this because I love it that when the most collected of characters is finally pushed to their breaking point. When this character loses it something extremely bad had to have happen.

And I want to know what Lana’s breaking point is. We’ve seen her lose the hero/ love interest (well, not really actually), we’ve seen her lose an entire planet in her beloved Empire but it was always back to business after those things.

A little bit of my babygirl Jedi Consular Nemora Lehele, can't remember if I posted her here but um- anyway-

She's a halfblood between sith pureblood and dathomirian zabrak and her father is Darth Trait. Her mother, Asha, tried to escape with her and her brother to the Republic, but failed. Only Nemora was able to escape. She was 10 at the time but was accepted to the Order despite her age. In time, she became a Jedi Consular, while her brother became Sith Warrior and later - Emperor's Wraith

Nemora sometimes can look a little intimidating and moody, but she's an incredibly kind and empathetic person. She wants to help everyone and it breaks her heart when she can't. Whole Jedi Consular story hit her hard, but she stood strong
