I saw someone tweeting on Twitter that it was perfectly okay to grab bees and I'm horrified that people who read it will actually try it 😓

I know that in some bee species, only females have stingers, but even so, wouldn't the male bees be super aggressive as well?

[TW speaking below about stingless bees' self-defence "tactics" which may make some people feel squeamish]

In my native country, we have a lot of stingless bee species and they are practically everywhere that has flowers/nature, but even so, you can't consider them completely "defenseless" as any abrupt movement near them, the bees will hurl themselves into your hair and try to enter any holes your face has (like mouth, nose, and ears)...

And trust me, the experience is extremely terrifying and even a bit traumatizing, and I'm speaking from experience! That's literally why I only go to parks and gardens wearing earphones and masks...

By the way, I do not hate bees! Sometimes I browse around looking at bee pictures and thinking about how adorable they look, and I'm well aware that they're essential beings to our ecosystems and that their conservation is a must! I just don't like the buzzy pups trying to enter my nostrils 😭

I downloaded a "lovin/woohoo" mod that adds more things for RimWorld reproduction/naughty stuff and I'm shocked that my two male pawns (we have a 1:1 gender ratio in the colony) keep doing the shuffle under the sheet w/ each other 3x times every night 😧

Dudes aren't even gay they are just horny as heck

Maybe they don't want to risk pregnancy w/ the female pawns? I guess you do what you gotta do if you're pent-up
