ok everyones doing it so my turn I guess.
I haven鈥檛 thought ebs were dating for a little while. I definitely think they had romantic feelings for each other at one point and maybe even dated, and maybe will date in the future, I dont know, none of us do, we know this.
as for how I will proceed from here, I am not leaving. I will definitely be doing more shipping than truthing with ebs but not much is changing a out what I鈥檓 doing. I have my theories and I am happy to talk about them but I will not be mentioning the irl beyond the fact that he exists. I have been shipping/truthing/something since the first week of ebs interactions and probably won鈥檛 stop until I lose interest. and even then, I鈥檓 sure I鈥檒l stick around because some of the people here are the greatest friends I鈥檝e ever made. we鈥檙e trauma-bonded wether you like it or not /hj.
if truthing someone who is in a relationship makes you uncomfortable, I completely respect that and you are welcome to unfollow, its been nice having you around <3
do with all that what you will.

how can you miss the point of everything tubbo鈥檚 said about how he feels about speculating on his personal life so badly 馃拃
hello anon! I assume this is about the tweet...? this isn't a particularly inflammatory ask, but apparently you've unearthed a lot of feelings I've been thinking for a long time...sorry about the essay haha 馃槄
Okay so, I posted that tweet because I feel like it perfectly encapsulated the major issues I have with how everyone treats Tubbo re: his sexuality
tl;dr Tubbo isn't 2020 Ranboo,聽you have no idea what actually makes Tubbo uncomfortable聽(he doesn鈥檛 need a white knight), and he鈥檚 not in the closet
1. "Violating Tubbo's boundaries"
I think people mix up Tubbo and Ranboo sometimes! Particularly, the person Ranboo was when he was just starting as a streamer.
Ranboo is (was) the kind of person to very clearly list out what he was and wasn鈥檛 okay with. He鈥檚 pinned the compiled list to his alt Twitter!
"Do not speculate on his sexuality. This kind of ties in with the person info point, but he doesn鈥檛 want people theorising on what his sexuality is or joking about it." That is Ranboo!
Tubbo does not have a pinned list like this.
So people try to make their own list!! They try to find聽statements that sound like Tubbo might be implying how he wants to be treated, and try to act as though he made an official statement and pinned it to his alt. Other than the weird trend of needing a streamer to tell them what鈥檚 right/wrong, why do they do this?
1.a. White knighting
Y'all have a problem. The reason people care so much about "violating boundaries" is not because you care about people being uncomfortable, but because want to sort all behavior and people into either "good" or "bad".
For example, Tubbo says "Yeah, I'd like to keep this part of my life private"
Actuality: Tubbo doesn't feel the need to share this information with us
Assumption: Someone mentioning his sexuality would make Tubbo uncomfortable. It is my responsibility to stop anyone who references Tubbo's sexuality.
Behavior motivated by care for Tubbo: Oh he doesn't want to talk about this. Let's move on.
Behavior motivated by virtual signaling: Let's spread this clip around! So people know that talking about his sexuality is bad.
2. "Speculating on Tubbo's sexuality/privacy"
Tubbo doesn't care about people thinking he's not straight. If he wanted to be seen as straight, if he was in the closet in a more traditional sense, he wouldn't have added the rainbow flag to his bio. He cares about people digging into his personal life, he cares about doxxing, and would likely care if the over-analysis we do on ebblr was shoved in his face, but he does NOT care about people knowing he's not straight.聽
Do you think he'd have a problem if everyone treated him the way we treat, say, Aimsey?
3. "Coming out"
Last point! He's out. He said, word for word "I don't think labels are for me" and "I just would like to date the people that I feel attracted to." That is out. Nobody tricked him, nobody outed him. He sat on stream and made the conscious decision to explain his sexuality and how he experiences attraction to his viewers.
He doesn't use a label. He explicitly said he doesn't want to use a label. And that is valid.聽
People who say "he's keeping his sexuality private!" kind of piss me off. (sorry) He鈥檚 not keeping a label secret from you, he just doesn't have one.
3.a. I don't have time to get into The History of Queer Culture
I know that online spaces have created this weird pressure for queer youth to fit into boxes. You get a gender, a romantic orientation and a sexual orientation. Pick from our extensive list, available on the official LGBTQ+ Wiki TM.聽
Sure, labels help loads of people. But saying聽鈥測ou must pick one of our existing and pre-approved roles鈥澛爄s just. That's straight culture.
...Look, I could write full essays on this (longer than the one I just wrote), but queer culture has always been about existing outside of society's expectations of your relationships and presentation.
3.b. Good job yall annoyed Tubbo so much he came out
He probably wanted people to just accept that he's not straight when he updated his bio, but instead, people were so annoying he had to make an "official" statement. Poor kid.
