I like the discussion and can appreciate it but I disagree. If they don’t sell and fans boycott, then its never too late. If they see their products aren’t selling well or worse then previous years, they will be forced to make more changes or crumble and tbh, the rainbow high community has been awful quiet since these new dolls came out even with new leaks! Even the PR reviews on YouTube people were still being very honest saying they hate them or ugly they hate slime, ex. It’s super early to even tell what they’ve made off these dolls but it’s less then previous years, then mga has a problem.

Tbh too, the community has been VERY vocal too about hating it from the very start and of u see the comments, most are still the same, the know half the consumers aren’t happy. The uproar on the reboot has been insane. it’s to the point the large community on YouTube has been even dead just about.

Now I saw one influencer yesterday just accepting that, it’s just the way it is now. NO. If u don’t like something, why are u waisting ur money? lol People don’t understand, all this even applies to inflation too. If enough customers just refuse to buy cause they don’t like the items, don’t like the price, ex… the company will fall or pay the price. It’s the way it’s always worked and I feel like people forget companies fall in the consumer’s hands.

It’s NEVER too late. You’re very right though, people that are supporting literally will have no right to complain when the inset eyes go away cause they r just signing their support on this reboot.

I love rainbow high but I will not support or waist my hard earned money on CRAP.

New Bella Rainbow High Leaks. Not gonna lie, I feel like everyone should be worried about the “Bella” styling head... I bet u this is MGA dipping their toes in the water to see how fans will react or if they will purchase products without inset eyes! I bet u budget dolls without inset eyes will be next. This isn’t a good sign… they keep trying to make rainbow high like Barbie so i wouldn’t be surprised if we see this as a norm and for this reason, I will NOT be buying her and tbh I’ve been on the fence about staying away from the reboot all together, if they make less sales, they may do another brand re- change back in the direction we are use to. We as consumers hold their fate if we don’t buy products we don’t like or stand by, I hope others will also do the same.

Thank you for posting! I literally was googling half the day how to take the rainbow high eyes apart and couldn’t find any content on it then this post came up on my dash. Greatly appreciate the tips! ❤️🙏

figured out how to repaint the inside of the rainbow high eye chips.

here's how I did it since there's no real how to anywhere, and I'll make an in depth tutorial next time I do it

1. take the eyes out of the head (there's plenty of tutorials on how to do this

2. pry the colored part away from the black part. I did this by putting an exacto knife thru part of the seam on one side and an awl in the seam on the other side

3. soak the eye chips in white vinegar for at least 24 hours

4. FOR THE SCLERA (white part of the eyes). skip this if you're leaving it white. I used a combination of needle nose pliers, xacto knife, and the same awl to scrape away as much of the paint as I could. I used the awl especially for the part just around her iris since it had the smallest point. this part could use some perfection since u can see there's still a little bit of white around her iris. for this character it works, but for others I'll need to figure something out. maybe a sewing needle or pin?

5. FOR THE IRIS use an exacto knife to peel as much of the paper sticker away from the iris. there will be only left on the iris and unfortunately the only way I've been able to get it off is through just sanding it off. there's a little dip where the pupil is and for that I scraped it with the xacto knife and the awl again since the sandpaper couldn't get in such a tiny space

6. this part is maybe optional, you can put a layer of gloss all over the inside of the chip to provide a smoother surface for painting. I only put gloss over the iris. If you're doing glitter, put gloss over wherever you want the glitter to be and carefully sprinkle it over the gloss. wait for it to dry and brush away extra glitter with a paintbrush. now you're ready to paint! do it in layers, I recommend putting any highlights or shine down first, then the pupil, then small iris details, and then your main color.

7. wait for everything to dry and pop the eyes back in! this part is tricky again, but I found this video helped me, and I used the thicker end of a chopstick instead in place of the tool she had.

I told myself, I would never get the Rainbow High accessories blind boxes again UNLESS they go on sale, and it happened this holiday season. ❤️ I got a bunch on sale online and in store since October and my stocking is FULL for Christmas. lol

I’m excited! I wanted them so bad, then I saw the price being $10, and I just hate the blind aspect. My first and last once since, I bought when it came out and I did research and thought I’d get one I wanted that was common, only 2 options and I got a rare ugly bag so I skipped till now! lol
