Vaganova Ballet Academy prof. Tatiana Udalenkova painted by Alexander Gerasimov (1954).
Udalenkova graduated from Vaganova Ballet Academy in 1952. She joined Mariinsky Theatre (the Kirov) that same year and, after some years in the corps de ballet, was promoted to soloist. She retired from the stage in 1978 and has been teaching classical dance the Vaganova ever since. Udalenkova’s students include Ekaterina Kondaurova, Irina Perren and Keenan Kampa.
