SENTENCE STARTERS FROM 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍'𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐆𝐌𝐀.
If you sought to live you had naught but run and hide yourself away.
But is the tapestry you weave truly of your own design?
One path to your survival, lies in my defeat.
Your heart will remain ever in my safekeeping.
Take up your tiny barbs of steel and fight!
This battle is your own, waged of your own free will.
Prove yourself worthy of what lies beyond my corpse!
Have you come so far to be stricken with cowardice?
This battle is mine, just as it is yours.
It would seem our fates are closely bound.
I fear I have misjudged the extent of your skill.
I see it was folly to worry of walls and armies while you still live!
All I know is yours to hear, should you desire it.
There is but one mantra you need hear, in truth: Follow your instinct.
You will learn, when you come to face it, that the truth is not so simple.
Call it what you will, such is the office I have served.
I cannot deny the claim, any more than affirm it.
If you would heed my call, prove now your worth.
You're... like me. Aren't you?
I'd given up hope of seeing you again.
Don't think for a minute I don't know what you did then.
No human hands could fell that beast.
You sold your love to death in exchange for glory!

SENTENCE STARTERS FROM 𝐋𝐀𝐏𝐕Ó𝐍𝐀.
You think he wouldn’t kill his own kin?
Forget him. He’ll rot now. He’ll feed the worms.
They aren’t like us. They have no hearts.
She died for you, that should be enough.
But I want to be a son, not a father.
Why do you always do things to make him angry?
You like my pity?
You’re fine yourself. You’re a prince.
But you seem like a prince.
Your name has no dignity.
If I had my way, I’d live like you, like a beggar.
God, please relieve me of this temper.
I should beat you dead if you’re lying to me.
I’m afraid this omen will be the end of me.
Don’t lie now just to comfort me.
You aren’ t worth the wind beneath my hand.
He was such a nice boy. He always wore such beautiful shoes. I guess they’re ruined now
God doesn’t reward misery.
There he is, the little wolf.
You’re dying. I can smell it on you.
Did you bring this on? This unholy terror?
Guilt will make you crazy.
You’ve been nothing but trouble all day.
I think I’ll sleep better if I am alone.
So what if the man is a skeleton? You don’t marry for love.
Whatever you do, don’t let her touch you.
I’ll give them each a bit of money and they’ll come kiss my hand. Won’t that be nice?
Nobody noticed. They were all too stunned by your lordliness.
Everyone is ashamed. So they pretend they’re perfect.
Hold your hand up, the blood will drain down
When there is nothing to say, there is nothing to worry about.
I was only testing your will.
I pray your death is quick.
Why should I have to be nice? Nobody is nice to me.
Will nothing make you happy?
Do you want me to follow you like last time?
It’s much better up there. You’ll see, you’ll see.

SENTENCE STARTERS FROM 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍'𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐆𝐌𝐀
You place me in ill company.
Fantasies of death and redemption concern me not one whit.
Tell me then, why has your lord father not sent your brother?
You will retract those words, ser!
..Else suffer what consequence?
I shall wash my honor clean in your blood!
And you would play the second? I would welcome the challenge.
He's made an open mockery of me and my homeland.
An oathbreaker of your ilk is champion to no man.
They were convenient to my purpose, nothing more.
What cause is served by sending men to die for his pleasure?
And what of those of this land who will die for your peace?
Will you stand idly by while a people lose their land?
You are no knight, villain!
Pray, think of the morrow.
What is gained by all our deaths?
I will not suffer such slander!
Has he sent his finest blades? A general fit to lead them?
Your head is a meager trophy.
The men of the fort may have use of you yet.
Is no slander beneath you?
The duel is well and settled. Begone from my sight at once.
I've no more patience to indulge your play at knighthood.
Run along home while you yet live.
'Tis a sorry truth that righteousness is a rare luxury in war.
No oath binds you, nor would my death do you any great service.
I must make a pitiable sight..
I knew.. I am a meager choice to send as aid.
I fear I put on a shameful display...
He had the truth of it, every word.. I am weak.
I serve no purpose here, save as hollow homage to an empty pact.
It would please me to know it provided you some small comfort on your journey.
I cannot hope to grow strong overnight, but I will return able to serve you.
Your pride is lost, but you've kept your head.
Such utter defeat ill leaves room for argument.
They will have my confession, and my head, should they wish it.
Even as I am, I've still some semblance of pride.
Do you think me a fool for coming back? For not running?
In truth, I hardly know my own reasons.
Better that men at arms turn and run, than stand and die.
I was sure it was the best way. The only way.
You brought doubt with you.
'Tis a strange thing, to find such hope unwelcome.

SENTENCE STARTERS FROM 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐒 𝟑.
Oh, look at you, you've got your head screwed on correct.
Fantastic, to meet a kindred spirit, on this godforsaken crag.
To my search, and to your duty. And to the joy that lies before us.
Every age, it seems, is tainted by the greed of men.
I'll stick you in my prayers.
The great tide of human enterprise, all for naught.
It's a rare thing, to have a true duty.
Don't run off and die, love.
By the King's decree, none may disturb our mistress's slumber.
Foolishness. The King's decree is no trifling matter.
Harken to the call that summons thee!
Spear of the Church, turn back.
May thy travels be resplendent with glory.
I've searched for thee, dark-stricken creature.
Never would I ever... forgive thy lowly kind.
We are kindred, belike two eyes which gaze upon the other.
...Search thine own self. Fear not the dark.
Well, I will not give him up. For he is all that I have.
You were born a child of dragons, what could you possibly fear?
Ignorant slaves, how quickly you forget.
Not enough blood yet shed.
Oh, dear, another dogged contender.
Mind you, the mantle of Lord interests me none.
The legacy of lords, let it all fade into nothing.
You've done quite enough, now have your rest.

SENTENCE STARTERS FROM 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐒 𝟑.
A crow in his cage as you see, now.
But here we are, an encounter for the ages!
I cannot comprehend this myself, let alone teach it to you.
When a pupil strays from the path, the master must intrude.
Little bird, what's to be gained?
You are a vile, starved beast.
If you didn't invade, didn't pillage, whatever would you do?
You beast. You've trifled with the wrong knight
Vicious one, aren't you? I knew it all along.
You are no longer of use. You'll run free no more.
Duties we each bear, but one's duty is a solitary affair.
I'm afraid I've involved you in my affairs, over a little promise, at that.
...Oh you could at least act as if you are paying attention!
But, why... Is that all I'm worth?
No matter the victim's stature, every killing has a consequence.
Well, you look reasonably sane.
Shame on you, you insatiable wench.
Shame on you, you rotten cleric.
It wasn't me, but you still deserve an apology.
By the gods, curiosity is going to kill you kittens.
Some places are better left alone, you know.
You're still alive, and I'm here grovelling in the dirt, so to speak.
I won't ask for thanks, but I certainly deserve it.
Please, take this. Recompense for my foolish request.
You'll go mad one day, but not today.
That's what you mad fools always say.
There is a darkness within man, and I am afraid you will peer into it.
Fear not, your choice will bring you no scorn.
Be careful though. Few humans are privy to this knowledge.
As captain, 'tis my duty to honour knights of great accomplishment.
Thy duty is all, and thy duty lieth elsewhere.
Then tarry no longer and begone.
Every fleeing man must be caught. Every secret must be unearthed.
Please, bear witness to our resolve...
Make the tales true, and burn this world away.
When the world rots, we set it afire.

SENTENCE STARTERS FROM 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐒 𝟑.
In battle, y' weapons are yer only friends.
I know, it's an awful shame, but it's all I have.
Oh, please, don't give me that look.
Believe it or not, I'm quite thin-skinned.
A fine prize.  I'm honoured to be endured with it.
A cursed fate this may be, but hope remains, does it not?
I may serve, but I'm no slave.
Oh, hello, you're back.  And in one piece.
Do me a favour, and don't forget our promise.
Another one, roused from the sleep of death?
I'm a deserter, I know. But I've still plenty of fight in me.
Go on, be as bloody mad as you like.
My feet are here firmly planted. For I am a Lord, and this is my throne.
I may be but small, but I will die a colossus.
Now, now, do not be away overlong.
Where did thou happen upon the stuff? Tell me, for the sport.
Well, fancy that. A lost lamb wandereth in, with nary a peep from the bell.
Have you ever walked near a white birch, only to be struck by a great arrow?
To your valour, my sword, and our sworn duties!
I'm no coward, and I've a steady hand, but that thing makes my skin crawl.
Forgive me, old friend... I've failed, in everything...
I know that voice. Just how long has it been?
And lastly, my Lord, take up thy rightful mantle, of usurper.
If you’ve any sense, you’ll go find a coffin to huddle up inside.
You’re like a frail maiden on the front lines.
You’ll face death, and it won’t be pretty.
Enough death to leave you broken, time after time.
How very quaint, pitying creatures that are beyond help.
Lost it, have you?
Stay dead this time.
Sweet champion.  Where have you been?
But if it would not trouble you, might I enter into your service, instead?
The gods are ever-merciful.  My gratitude lies with them, and with you.
I would be pleased to share the tales of miracles with you.
