Happy SA awareness month!

For the survivors, you’re all amazing! You deserve the world and not the pain you need to carry because of it. Stay strong, and keep moving forward. You’re doing great! Just because you’re a victim doesn’t mean it’s the end.

For the ones who haven’t experienced abuse and harassment, please be aware of how many victims there are every day. If something seems off or unsettling, whether it’s you or a friend, don’t be scared to talk to them and seek help immediately if necessary.

Please, I advise everyone to be aware and take it seriously. If people are talking or even joking about hurting someone or being hurt by someone, tell somebody immediately to ensure that everyone is safe.

Approximately 1 of 3 women and 1 of 9 men have experienced sexual harassment, assault, abuse and rape. And a lot of people have died from it.

You know what the ultimately irony of the Alastor-Vox dynamic is?

I’m pretty sure we’re eventually going to find out that it’s actually Alastor who is truly jealous of VOX. Because Vox actually HAS what Alastor is simply pretending to be.

See, as I’ve discussed in previous posts, at this point I think it’s a pretty safe bet that NONE of Alastor’s power is truly his, instead coming from and being bound to the ‘leash’ that he’s on. We hear from Mimzie in the same episode that Alastor somehow was ALWAYS this freakishly powerful. That whereas other Overlords had to build up their power, Alastor somehow already had all this power the moment he appeared in Hell.

Which combined with the whole ‘leash’ reveal and Alastor’s fixation on making deals makes for a pretty easily conclusion to draw: That Alastor actually cheated the system by making a deal with someone MUCH more powerful (Lilith, or someone similar), likely before he even died. And in turn, all of his power is bound TO that deal and whoever his benefactor is.

Which in turn means that literally all of the other Overlords, INCLUDING VOX, have something that Alastor doesn’t: Their power, their respect, their influence, it’s all truly theirs. While Alastor is a FRAUD.

Something that Alastor is very much aware of.

And this is the real reason why Alastor loves messing with Vox:

It’s a power-trip.

Vox, this overlord who has all the things Alastor secretly craves and is likely so jealous of, is actually jealous of him! Vox is obsessed with him, is intimidated by him, actually sees him as an equal if not better. And Alastor LOVES this attention.

Bullying Vox like he does and the attention Vox gives him in return is the ULTIMATE ego-stroking for Alastor. Because he makes Alastor feel like he really is one of these great players with the power, respect and freedom to do whatever they want.

Even though he most certainly is NOT.

last anon was nuts. you know what, i am a valentino lover, i love him, i neeeeeed him what i have noticed in a lot of fandoms (especially with younger people) is the tendency to view a character as their first impression. no one cares what alastor has or hasn't done even when they see its effects on husk because their first interpretation of him is as a silly little guy. same with vox, he is just as complicit in val's actions towards his workers but who cares, he's so skrunkly. we have also seen evidence of valentino just being a guy outside of work. he's also supposed to be kind of suave (how else is he gonna get more workers?). why are we squishing this character into a one-dimensional abuser? why are we ignoring other characters who are just as horrible? why can't he be both abusive to his workers and pleasant to his friends/nonworkers?

exactly! Like of course, Valentino is an asshole, but that doesn’t make him a terrible person all the time. Like I honestly wouldn’t mind being angel sometimes. Literally sign me up! I love Valentino and you don’t have to only love him because he’s an abusive shit.

but not you. Even though Angel puts on that act to hide his real self, and how broken he is from his trauma, you knew from the beginning that he was a sweetie who just needed some (real) love.

and after a while, he grew used to it.

there was nothing better than coming home after a rough day of work and just venting to you while you held him in your arms, listening to everything he had to say.

it made him feel like he was actually worth something. Not just somebody’s plaything.

there’s something different about him when he’s around you, he’s not the same dirty minded person he is around everyone else.

it really is better than sex. Sometimes your cuddles and hugs have him touch starved. But the first few times it’s happened, he discovered it had nothing to do with sexual desire, as he could never really help himself sexually.

And even Husker knew everything was an act, but nobody’s actually seen Angel be himself like you have.

Angels cuddles are warm, tender, as if you were fragile and he were scared of breaking you.

sometimes it’s just so silly to watch when Angel gets back to the hotel after work and just throws himself into your arms laughing and giggling like a toddler who’s father just got home from work.

this is a totally different side of Angel that you’ve never seen before. and it feels kind of good knowing how comfortable he is around you

it really just depends on the outfit and the occasion. Like if you’re expected to look nice and have on a nice, semi-formal outfit on that shows a little bit of skin, he’d definitely try to reason with you, but if you showed up in street wear like sweatpants or something, he’d make you change.

but for this specific scenario, I’m assuming it’s a nice occasion that encourages nice attire.

I feel like he wouldn’t necessarily be controlling or anything and force you to change, but I feel like he’d definitely bring it up. He’d ask you if you’re really planning on wearing that, he’d probably be very silently judging you on the inside like “this bitch is seriously not doing this right now”, but in a more respectful manner, you know?

he’d be very open about it, tell you it’s probably not the most appropriate outfit for these occasions (even though in reality, he’s more concerned about the attention you might be getting from the other overlords), but he’d be very kind and respectful about it. He’d encourage you to change, but if you don’t want to, there’s no force. He’d just have to make sure you don’t draw too much attention.

but he’d definitely tell—and show—you how he really feels when you two get home.

Bonus: if you chose not to change, he’d take it as the perfect opportunity to show off to Vox and prove that he’s better when it comes to his s/o

I feel like Alastor would honestly be really impressed. Especially if the reader has the balls to stand up to the radio demon, because nobody else has the courage to do so. And with Alastor giving off a similar type of energy (specifically in episode 5), that would be something he’d love to see. I feel like they’d constantly be fighting like an old married couple and purposely trying trying to get under each other’s skin just to test their limits. And even if Alastor isn’t attracted to anyone whatsoever, I would like to say you have a special place in his heart, even if the attraction is very small (but I don’t completely understand how aro/ace/aroace works so I apologize).

But to sum it up, it would be very similar to an Alastor and Rosey relationship, but with more rivalry and competition and all that fun stuff. It’s just a very chaotic duo 😂

With Valentino being Valentino, he isn’t usually the type of person to like to cuddle with anyone

Val is more into sexual intimacy than cute, loving acts of affection

But when you are able to get him to cuddle, he’d be really grumpy about it at first, but after a few minutes he’s just the sweetest little cuddle bug 🥰

Especially when you’re alone. That’s when he’s most likely to give in. Even with just the other Vee’s in the room, he’s going to keep putting on the “I’m only interested in sex” act.

Unless he’s somehow feeling extra vulnerable for your love and affection.

Velvette probably has at least one video she took of Val cuddling with you without anything sexual going on, including dirty jokes.

Val’s cuddles are surprisingly warm and comforting. It’s like a drug, and you just can’t get enough.

My personal favorite headcanon, is that Val smells like strawberries (sometimes chocolate, sometimes normal) because it fits the “charming” and “romantic” aura that Valentino is said to give off in the show.

And this leads me to believe his cuddles—and just presence in general—is even more addicting.

One night specifically it was such a hard day for you and you really were not in the mood for sex at all, so you fell asleep in each other’s arms and you two were just so comfortable in each other’s presence that you wouldn’t get out of bed and Vox had to run in and wake Val up, only to see you two tangled up together in the bed get your head out of the gutter

So now of course, Val is going to be teased about it because he was caught by both of the other Vee’s, but eventually he’ll get used to it.

And finally, because Val is busy and still into sex more than genuine caring love and affection, cuddling with him is very rare (probably once every 3-6 months), and you’ve learned to just enjoy the moment while it lasts and savor being under his touch because you know that he’s going to go back to being your normal pimp Valentino in just a few seconds.

Blink, and you might miss the affectionate side of Valentino.
