Sure it would! Not much has changed in the last few years outside of Tumblr's style changes and xkit, but those are all things our resource channel in our discord can help you with! Today is the day many adults in Providence Peak have been waiting for. No, it’s not Friday yet. Okay, so maybe the second most-awaited day, but if you have been waiting for this day like most of our lovely city citizens, make sure you meander down to Mayor Harris’ table set-up at the Spring Extravaganza and drop your tickets into the baskets for the various raffle prizes offered below! CONNECTION DESCRIPTION:
Both native to Providence Peak, they followed each other through their childhood and teenage years. Their families were always close, so close they were both invited during important celebrations, like holidays and anniversaries. They both grew up close, sharing dreams and visions for the future. They started as best friends and became highschool sweethearts towards the end. They were very much in love!
They tried long distance relationship when Leon chose to follow his own dreams to go to New York and learn the culinary arts. The plan was that she would come and join him back to NYC, so that they wouldn’t lose what they had, and they could even start their family there.
During one visit back home, Leon did ask the Big Question. She said yes, they were ready to move forward but then everything went to shit (we can determine why together! It can be personal reasons on her part or on Leon’s) and they broke up. They went their separate ways, from talking everyday to going radio silence, even blocking each other everywhere. Now, it’s bittersweet, and there’s a lot of resentment there.

We are excited to introduce Providence Peak's Resource Blog — a blog dedicated to sharing everything and anything that could potentially help out future members, like trying to decide what faceclaim to join with (and if they even have resources available!), and current members who are looking for more resources for their faceclaims, might need a little help with a tumblr issue, or are looking for a template for a graphic for their character! With this blog, the possibilities are endless and we hope it serves to help the community we've built here!

CONNECTION DESCRIPTION:
Carmen and this character met when she was in high school; he was her aunts next door neighbor, the two started dating and they got pregnant at the age of 16. The challenges of being young parents hit them hard, and they spent majority of their co-parenting career ‘separated’ despite the fact they were great partners in the parenting team. They truly became best friends, and even though things with them didn’t work out, they were always there for each other. When Carmen landed herself in a sticky situation with a neighbor at college – Berkley- it was her ex that she called and who came running to her rescue, which made the two take a look at their life and decided to try to make it work, but ultimately broke things off again when they decided that co-parenting and being friends was what they were meant to be. They’re still close to this day, and Carmen considers him one of her closest friends outside of her wife, Mei.

CONNECTION DESCRIPTION:
While Elena’s life started as the product of two high-schoolers, the girl has never known anything but love. Despite the fact her parents weren’t together when she was born, the two shared a deep connection that resembled not only true friendship, but also showed that two people could co-parent without there being any drama. The dedication to raising their daughter the best that two kids could, Carmen always made sure to put Elena first; even if that meant living with Carmen’s aunt who had helped be the guide and the light in Elena’s light when she’d been convinced that nothing else would ever be good again. Carmen considers Elena the one that helped form her into who she is now; after all, Carmen would be no where without her sidekick and the two are literally the definition of sidekicks. Think Batman and Robin, or Buzz and Woody; you never saw one without the other. That only proved to make their bond hold and become stronger when Carmen found herself in an abusive relationship when Elena was a child, Elena’s dedication to her mom and understanding when things didn’t always go as planned just further brought the two together. When Carmen met Mei and the married couple moved to Denver, Carmen agreed to let Elena live with her father, letting her finish out high school, and even then there were weekly visits – if not daily as Carmen couldn’t live without her daughter around – and the two continued to grow in their relationship. Elena now runs the tea shop B’s Teas and Honey Haven with her mother, and I have this head canon that she lives in an apartment above it, but, that can be discussed!

i feel like the activity checks lists are always a bit long. would you guys ever consider 3 interactions per week being the activity requirement?
We completely understand where you're coming from, but out of 60 characters in the group, eight or so characters on an activity check isn't actually that many at all. Our activity minimum will never change unless we decide to raise the amount of interactions.
When it comes down to it, three to four interactions per week leaves threads being replied to once per week which means four replies per month and that could leave a thread needed for character development or a plot development taking months to get through. This would not only be frustrating for members, but also lead to a slow dash and a slow dash inevitably leads to a roleplay's end. Providence Peak has managed to stay open for three and a half years (we'll be celebrating four this coming October!) and our goal is to keep our community alive and strong and enjoyable for all of our members who have put their time and effort into being here.
