Archer’s send off to Jessica Walter was perfect and made me tear up. 🥺

Jessica Walter, who voiced Mallory Archer — Archer’s mother and boss — passed away during the production of Archer, season 12. While she had recorded most of her lines for the season prior to her death in March of 2021, the show’s writers changed the end of the season’s arc for Mallory to make a graceful exit from The Agency, which she ran.

The season’s finale ended with her peaceful and sitting on a beach living out her secret spy retirement with her husband, Ron, who had been voiced by Ron Leibman — Jessica’s real life husband.

Ron and Jessica were married from 1983 until Ron’s death in 2019. Season 11’s Episode 2: Bloodsploosh, was dedicated to him.
