Fair enough, I'm probably not gonna argue further. Especially since I also believe misogyny influences homophobia.

There's a reason I wish the west had one of those three-gender systems like in third world countries (albeit with more legal rights involved and less prostitution) because I think grouping people like me, or people like Ethel, with masculine heterosexual males is dangerous for us. Men treating us as their fellow men seems about as likely as men deciding to not abuse women anymore.

I may have made some wrong assumptions about your views, apologies for that.

My assumptions probably come from the fact that I've seen multiple transwomen I know be called mutilated troons and sex freaks (yes, surprisingly by women, not just men) and then be called misogynist aggressive males and go how dare you yell at a woman as soon as they dare to say something even slightly mean in response.

It also just seems like a lot of comments, subtly, try to imply that because Ethel is male that she is not oppressed whatsoever. Like "you're not a tortured teenage girl you're a man on tumblr" or something, it was something along those lines. Its very subtle about the way its worded.

FYI this is coming from someone who is very doomer about males as a whole and hates being one. There is misogyny in gay male and trans culture that annoys me a lot, and I'll quite literally only date males who I think are not misogynist e.g. no guys who only have "the bros" friend groups. Currently dating another transwoman at the time being.

I literally believe in sex based oppression I'm not one of those trans people who doesn't - but this is absurd.

I'm sorry, but a same-sex attracted gender-nonconforming male person growing up in a fundamentalist household will face worse treatment than an opposite-sex attracted gender-conforming female person will. I'm sorry, that is just true. This idea that female oppression is the Worst Oppression Ever and trumps everything else is just. Its just absurd.

I don't even agree with Ethel's language and behavior I think a lot of it was nasty, but screaming AGGRESSIVE MALE at someone who shows any meanness back is so absurd.

Male children that are perceived as feminine are, for one, disproportionately more likely to be sexually abused than other male children. This is why people historically believed boys become gay because of sexual abuse, its actually that boys who are more likely to grow up to be gay are more likely to be sexually abused.

I'm not one of those weirdos who is gonna go "saying a trans woman is biologically male is bioessentialism!!" because I don't believe that. I'm biologically male. I know I am. But it feels like what's going on here is an erasure of gender nonconformity. Erasure of the material reality that gender-nonconforming male people face. We're ALWAYS masculine aggressors to you when that's just not the social position that feminine gay male people occupy. This idea that its always male aggressors and female victims, not just statistically but ALWAYS, that males cannot be victims and cannot be delicate and women are always innocent victims all the time, is LITERALLY doing a bioessentialism. Ur just gonna erase the fact that Ethel is, even if you don't believe in gender identity, a feminine, same sex attracted, medically transsexual biologically male person, and neurodivergent, just to go PRIVILEGED AGP PEDOPHILE TROON at any sexual minority who isn't a woman 😭😭😭 the pedo accusations are legit doing a major homophobia too!!!
