Introduction
As mentioned in my previous PSA post, this blog will transform into multiverse fandomless OC blog resolving around the original concept story Ido was created for. In this post I will cover the basic gist of the setting as well as the main parties/alignments of the story for reference to the upcoming introductions of each individual character profile.

I. Setting
The story is set in a modern fantasy world, somewhere in around the year 2027, playing mainly in (a fictional version of) Tokyo, Japan. The fantasy part resolves around the usage of magic and people born with magic. Magic is a flow of energy in people’s body. It can be lost or stolen. Overusing ones abilities can drain the pool of magical energy to a point of no recovery. Overusing or permanent loss of a portion of ones magical energy, as well as obtaining magic that doesn’t belong to you, can lead to a notable discoloration of ones hair (most common), eyes (less common) or skin (rare) and is unique to a person and their magic type. The different types of magic will be covered in a separate post.
The existence of magic is not a publicly known issue. Unless you wield magic yourself or have witnessed it yourself, you’re most likely unaware of the existence of it. Some people have magical energy without even knowing they do. Unless living and growing up on a magic user household, most children don’t know about their powers if they have some. Some families just never knew they had magical energy themselves, some families try to hide it because they want their children to live a normal life, or one of the parents was a magic user that married a mortal human and wants to hide their magic.
The story follows a group of Students in their 2nd and 3rd year of high school. The school is named “Kotori High School” [小鳥高校] (might change in the future). They all have magical abilities for one reason or another Most of the students have developed or noticed their magical abilities at a young age but without being able to use them properly. Most of them were scared or ashamed and never spoke of it because they thought they were freaks. Some of them are childhood friends or siblings, but what connects them all is that they are classmates.
II. Alignments/Organisations
Now, where there is power, there is people trying to overthrow those without it and people constantly fighting about it as well as people trying to snuff out minorities. This story also has opposing factions, one fighting to keep their magical lifestyle a secret to the world and protecting humans and magic users from the dangers of magic, and one working to rise above and eliminate all threads in their way.
The International Magic Security - TIMS, for short.
TIMS is an international organisation, similar to the United Nations Organization, monitoring magic all over the world. They operate on strict rules and are the leading Organisation of Magic. They will cover up big vile magical acts and prevent near-world-end catastrophes in order to protect the public and the existence of Magic. The public does not know of their existence or the existence of magic and thus has no opinion on it. They are surprisingly of little significance or support but they exist.
More in depth information will be covered in a separate post.
Hōru/Hall Co. [ホール Co.] // “Project Obsidian” [プロジェクト黒曜石]
Hall Co. is a company run by a man named Barack Hōru (First, Last), located in their headquarters “Hōru Tower”. They are the leading company for technology and science, developing not only common household objects like TVs and microwaves, but also high tech machines found in laboratories and hospitals. However, the company only operates as a front for an organisation founded in 2016. Back then, the government was dealing with inexplicable natural phenomenon or even murder cases. An organisation was created to investigate those cases. In the beginning it was a group of non-magic users but over time, power hungry magic users have joined as well.
About 4 years later, Mr. Hōru bought the organisation for his own needs and plans, saying he’d provide the units with technological support from their company. The public only knows the company “Hall Co.” and has a positive opinion about their goods and wares while being unaware of "Project Obsidian”’s existence.
More in depth information will be covered in a separate post.
OTHER Affiliations:
Vigilante Magic Protectors:
They do not have an official name or alignment with any other organisation. The people referred to as ‘Vigilante Magic Protectors” are magic users that act independently from TIMS. That said, they do not get any support from TIMS and are often seen as a nuisance in their eyes. While not being affiliated with a bigger group, some Vigilantes have connections among each other and work together or affiliate with each other.
They follow no rules but their own, making the spectrum of motives really broad. Some want to protect the people, some want to protect magic, some want to protect both, and some just want to practice their powers.
Kotori High School:
Kotori High School is the place where the story starts with introducing the student characters. Most of the main characters go to this school. Other than that it has little significance.

*; PSA: Upcoming changes »
I’ve been sitting on this for a while now and I kinda just wanted to like, drop it like a bomb but I guess it’s not gonna work lmao. Before anyone wonders: I am NOT going to delete or remake this blog!
This blog will stay, but there will be a few changes!
A lot of things have happened that made me a bit anxious to rp on here/in the BNHA fandom. As you may or may not know Ido was NOT originally created to be a BNHA OC but rather for a web series (it never launched bc of funding and time issues) I developed with friends. I just watched BNHA and thought “Hey, Ido would fit in there” in an attempt to give her a new place to be and potentionally roleplay in.
Now, what I am planning to do is re-write Ido’s blog to be more fandomless or rather have her Main Canon/Story be the one of the Web Series. That will include me posting A LOT of background information of the Web Series, the plot, world building etc and introducing a few characters.
She will keep her crossover verses for BNHA, BSD and other crossovers as well. What I can say for the setting of the main story/canon is that it’s going to be a modern fantasy setting with magic. Stuff like Modern Fantasy/Superpower stuff (like Marvel or DC/anything that classifies it as superpower and not magic) will either have an umbrella tag or fandom specific tag.
The overhaul of the blog will include:
new background info on Ido
new background info on the world/main story
a new theme
a new colour psd
probably new graphics
