Happy ending <3
This is from an alternate ending to the Night Grows Dim where Ahk and Paankh are given blessings by Sutekh to live in the eastern desert on the edge of the sea. I decided not to go with it… but the art is still pretty cool (:

Hundreds of Palestinians were murdered by Israel during the three days of Eid.
Would you remain silent if Jews were killed on Hanukkah or Christians on Christmas?
That's right. Your racism is loud. Your selective humanity glazing in the sun.

The Night Grows Dim
Well lads, I finished it. It's done. Did I cry? Yes, because I'll never get to write it again, and it was such a big part of my life.
Description: As a shabti servant of the Gods, you are bound to follow and assist them with any task. When a young God accidentally gets the Prince of Egypt sick with untamed magic, you follow him to the overworld in hopes of helping to heal the Prince and keep the young God safe. Things do not go to plan, and you find yourself without the guidance of a master commanding your every move, left alone with a Prince to save and humanity to discover.

In total, there are 32 chapters, with the Epilogue making up the 33rd chapter, and the 34th chapter being the explanation as to why this story is so important to me, and also some artworks that I made in relation to this story.
I will be honest with you. Of all my fanfictions-that-aren't-really-fanfictions, this one is the least fanfiction-y. There is absolutely 0 correlation to the source material. It's something I like about this story. It's almost publishable! It is entirely involved in the world of ancient Egypt, with its' mythology, landscape, and culture. So even if you are not a fan of Night at the Museum's character Ahkmenrah, if you enjoy ancient Egypt, you will probably like this story. It's full of fun and unique characters that, obviously, don't exist in the source material. But it is one of the most potent and all-consuming love stories I have ever written and it is so special to me. I hope you enjoy!

instead of continuously over-donating to ao3 when those running the site are racist zionist sympathisers who shut down support of palestine from its volunteers 1 / 2 (among myriad other issues that u should NOT be funding) please direct your attention to these incomplete fundraisers for people in gaza and various tangible operations doing work. this is a call that if u have donated even a cent to ao3 to a) match that in your donations to palestinians/causes and b) stop donating so uncritically and unconditionally to ao3, pressure them. id like to direct u to @end-otw-racism
