JORDANA TICIA COSMETICS Liquid lipsticks
Beautiful shades
Product: Lipstick (shades reviewed: Felicia, Love Shy, Shady Lady, So Fetch)
Brand: Jordana Ticia Cosmetics (Independent)
Quantity: 3g
Cruelty-free: Yes
Vegan: Unknown (marked as vegan friendly)
Price range: Mid-high
Quality: Really good
Consistency: Creamy (matte finish)
Skin types: All types
Key features: Matte finish / kiss proof / cruelty-free / vegan-friendly
Can I buy this in the UK? Yes, I got mine directly from Jordana Ticia Cosmeticsā€™s website. Shady Lady and So Fetch are sold out on their site but appear to be available still at Beauty Belovedā€™s website (UK & Ireland shipping). Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Jordana Ticia Cosmetics ship worldwide (Shady Lady and So Fetch shades appear to be out of stock at the time of this post though plenty of other shades are available). It includes tracked shipping, though customs is not included at checkout. Check the brandā€™s shipping info on their site and your countryā€™s guidelines on imported goods and parcels (government and mailing service websites). .
Review Intro / Brand (including service/delivery/availability) Jordana Ticia is a very small UK indie brand based in Manchester, I came across it during my search for UK indie makeup. I hadnā€™t seen the brand talked about much on social media at the time, so I decided to try them out starting with the matte lipsticks as I was looking for some neutral shades. I was lucky because they also had a sale. As I looked into it more, I was pretty impressed with the original products designed by its owner Jordana Franks made in the UK, and the PETA certification as a very small brand. I also really enjoyed her YouTube videos that gave a glimpse into her life, routine and the business. Itā€™s definitely a brand worth supporting, and I was pleasantly surprised by the lipsticks as I wasnā€™t sure how theyā€™d look in real life compared to the online photos and site swatches.
There is a wide range of shades available, I picked 4 that were in the sales at the time. I received them in good time with reasonable UK postage and packaging thatā€™s tracked.
Design (concept/packaging/shades)
The matte liquid lipstick range has really beautiful deep nude/neutral shades. The packaging simple and elegant, the doe-foot applicator is also very easy to use.
Formula (texture/application/fallout/performance/wear)
The liquid lipstick is quite creamy and feels comfortable on the lips. It does dry fairly quickly but not too quick for me to work with it on the lips. It is a matte finish with a formula that dries and stays put so like a lot of matte long wear/transfer proof formulae, itā€™s best applied thin and evenly. Otherwise, if it builds too much, it can dry and flake off easily. I found it fairly easy to apply evenly with the applicator as the lipstick is opaque and pigmented, so it covers the lips very well. I found this was a pretty good formula when it comes to these tricky matte dry lipsticks.
.
The wear is pretty good, and can last 4-5 hours, the wear is generally good though depends on the shade (if itā€™s a medium shade on the lips, it wears pretty well).
Price range/product amount/value for money
I think usual full price for the 3g product is in the mid-high range. Iā€™d consider the value pretty fair considering itā€™s an original well designed and formulated product made in the UK by a very small indie brand, with a very good quality, long shelf life of 34 months and beautiful shade range.
Verdict: These are really good quality matte liquid lipsticks with beautiful shades, Iā€™d recommend if you like matte kiss-proof creamy lipsticks that dry well and stay put.

OFRA COSMETICS Mother Earth highlighter (limited edition)
Icy shift, performs really well for that baked glow
Product: Highlighter (pressed)
Brand: OFRA Cosmetics(Independent)
Quantity: 10g
Cruelty-free: Yes
Vegan: Yes (listed with Leaping Bunny, PETA, Cruelty Free Kitty, Ethical Elephant and Logical Harmony)
Price range: High
Quality: Great
Consistency: Powder (Pressed)
Skin types: All types
Key features: Green-pink shift / Earth day tribute / sustainable packaging / cruelty-free / vegan
Can I buy this in the UK? Unfortunately not at the moment, I got mine directly from Ofra Cosmeticsā€™s website. They do not include customs tax at checkout. Check my guide to international shipping. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes they ship worldwide, for non-US customers, they do not include customs tax at checkout. Check my guide to international shipping.
Review Intro / Brand (including service/delivery/availability) Ofra Cosmetics is a popular large independently owned brand well known for their highlighters and lipsticks. Their Pillow Talk highlighter is one of my basic go to highlighters, and I have a few neutral wearable liquid lipsticks that I can vouch for their popularity. Why was I drawn to their newly released Mother Earth highlighter? Itā€™s meant to have a green to pink shift, and be a tribute to Earth Day, where they will donate a tree to be planted for every highlighter sold (check the Canopy project here, you can also donate directly given $1 = one tree planted). Given the lack of showcasing of the highlighter, I had to try it for my curiosity.
The highlighter is limited edition and only available direct from their website. Itā€™s not one that has sold out instantlyā€¦ probably because itā€™s a lot of money to spend without seeing much of the highlighter beforehand.. so the availability is very good! Delivery was impressive too, given Iā€™m in the UK, I received it within a week. There was a shipping cost around Ā£13-15 which appears as a flat rate as this is the price for either just the highlighter or a haul of other products, which I took the opportunity of doing. While itā€™s expected for an international price, itā€™s still a steep addition to obtaining the highlighter if youā€™re not in the US.
Design (concept/packaging/colour story)
The palette design is not unique for Earth Day and is contained in the signature OFRA compact, which I donā€™t mind at all given itā€™s probably more sustainable, once youā€™ve used up the highlighter, you can actually buy another OFRA highlighter on its own to replace into the compact.
The highlighter itself is also moulded into the signature embossed shape, the green-pink shift is barely noticeable in the pan, and is more visible when applying onto the skin.
Formula (texture/application/fallout/performance/wear)
Thereā€™s only slight variance in the formula from the original: Nylon-12 is replaced by Boron Nitride, thereā€™s no Triethoxycaprylilsilane, and it may contain Bismuth Oxychloride and CI77000 instead of CI75470.
Even with this, it feels the same as the other Ofra highlighters, itā€™s fairly creamy and applies very well without much fallout. If applied softly, itā€™s a very subtly shift, but can be built easily for a noticeable green to pink shift, which will definitely stand out in real life (the video with more light doesnā€™t capture the shift as much). The finish is more of a satin but shiny glow, which I prefer over sparkly.
The wear is also really good, and can last pretty much all day.
Price range/product amount/value for money
The value is fair (same as their other highlighters) - the quality is great and the 10 grams will last long even for daily use. If you donā€™t wear the highlighter often, it has an impressive shelf life of 34 months so youā€™ll have time to use it up. The only thing that can hit non-US customers is the shipping/custom costs especially if youā€™re only purchasing this product. But the price of the product itself is not too bad for the quality.
Verdict: Pretty shifts with great Ofra quality, I would recommend only if you like colour in your highlighter, and a satin baked glow shine rather than a sparkly one.

LOIS COSMETICS Meet Me In The Underworld eyeshadow palette
Beautiful creation
Product: Eyeshadow palette
Brand: Lois Cosmetics (Independent)
Quantity: 2g x 16 shades (32g)
Cruelty-free: Yes
Vegan: Yes
Price range: Mid-High
Quality: Great
Consistency: Powder (Mattes and shimmers)
Skin types: All types
Key features: highly pigmented shades / Mythology themed / cruelty-free / vegan / paraben-free
Can I buy this in the UK? Yes, I got mine directly from Lois Cosmeticā€™s website based in London. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes they ship worldwide, price includes tracking, insurance/cover for the parcel and express shipping. Import duties and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost, so this could be an extra cost that youā€™ll receive when the package enters your country. Check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be before ordering. Thereā€™s more info on their shipping page.
Review Intro / Brand (including service/delivery/availability) London based small indie brand Lois Cosmetics is a fairly new brand that launched in 2020, and have quickly gained popularity in the UK indie makeup community. Their new palette ā€˜Meet Me In The Underworldā€™ has now increased interest in the international indie makeup community. I can see why
The availability of the palette was very limited given the interest it got on the launch announcement, so it sold out in minutes. They are planning restocks so would definitely advise signing up to their mailing list if youā€™re interested so you get to hear about availabilities. Given Iā€™m in the UK, I got the package fairly quick.
International shipping can be pricey, if youā€™re not in the UK, youā€™re likely having to pay customs when they enter the country since itā€™s not included at checkout. The shipping sounds like it might be more expensive than usual, but this does include insurance.
Design (concept/packaging/colour story)
The paletteā€™s design and artwork has been beautifully done to reflect the greek myth about Orpheus and Eurydice (youā€™ll hear the story in the video). The illustrations and grungy green colour story makes it more contemporary, but the shade names are well picked and inspired by the characters and events in the story, which altogether is very cohesive. The palette and packaging is nice and easy to hold and use, and really appreciate the card it comes with that explains the characters and story. It also comes with decorations, a really nice touch.
Formula (texture/application/fallout/performance/wear)
The formula ingredients are standard and not unique to the brand, though shades feel much creamier than their previous palettes, which to me, feels better in quality. There can be some fallout in the pan and with a few of the darker colours, but for most of these shades I got pretty good pay-off. The red pigmented shades can stain a little which is normal for vegan formulas, but to me itā€™s slight on the skin and will go. They build and blend easily on most part. A few of the darker ones typically might need bit more effort in building and blending.
They wear pretty good (I have oily lids), lasting between 7-10 hours if using primer and a good setting spray. It will reach 7 hours with a primer.
Price range/product amount/value for money
My view is that the palette is really good value for money given the artwork, quality of the shades and the amount you get (16 shades x 2g).
Verdict: The brandā€™s best palette yet, worth the buy especially if youā€™re into the colour storyā€¦ and the story behind it!
Product description: Meet me in the Underworld 16 shade eyeshadow palette, a grunge glam colour story with a story. ENDANGERED COSMETICS Red Panda eyeshadow palette
Well designed for the cause
Product: Eyeshadow palette
Brand: Endangered Cosmetics(Independent)
Quantity: 10 shadows (1g each)
Cruelty-free: Yes
Vegan: Yes
Price range: Mid-High
Quality: Very Good
Consistency: Powder (Mattes and shimmers)
Skin types: All types
Key features: Red Panda theme / Creamy shades / Sustainable packaging / cruelty-free / vegan
Can I buy this in the UK? Yes, I got mine directly from Endangered Cosmeticā€™s website www.endangered cosmetics (based in London). T. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes they ship worldwide, they do not include customs tax at checkout. Check the brandā€™s shipping info on their site and your countryā€™s guidelines on imported goods and parcels (government and mailing service websites). .
Review Intro / Brand (including service/delivery/availability) Endangered Cosmetics is a new UK indie makeup brand established in 2021 by Dazale Choy. Itā€™s great that they are based in London as itā€™s my home city. What I really like about this brand is that their collections will be based on a theme linked to endangered species and different wildlife habitats; 10% profits will go to a wildlife charity. They also support sustainable packaging, so itā€™s a good sign of ethical values behind the brand. good timing to the recent Earth Day.
The Red Panda is their first launch, this was available and being a local, I received this very quick. It was also very well packaged with a personal Endangered Cosmetics card and a fact card about the Red Panda which is a really great touch.
International shipping will be more expensive outside the UK, which is standard, and thereā€™s also customs to consider. I wouldnā€™t expect this to be too high, but worth checking your government rules and taxes.
Design (concept/packaging/colour story)
The palette is really well designed, I can tell the level detail has gone into the colour scheme and the palette packaging like the sleeve and the colour story of the shadows, and it definitely reflects the red panda well..
Formula (texture/application/fallout/performance/wear)
The shades feel very creamy, they remind me of the matte shadows in the Kaleidos 5 pan palettes. There is little fallout, and the shadows are decently pigmented. They blend and build pretty well, the darker shadows naturally need a little more blending. I think they performed well.
They lasted around the 7 hour mark, after which the shadow fades, though the warmer red tones tended to last a little longer. Setting spray may help it last just a tad longer.
Price range/product amount/value for money
The palette is more on the expensive side, though the quality and design thatā€™s gone into it probably makes up for this first palette, along with the charity donation.
Verdict: Beautifully designed palette, one that indie make-up lovers and environmentally conscious consumers may appreciate.

NECROMANCY COSMETICA A Gothic Romance palette
Beautiful, a gothic romantic creation
Product: Eyeshadow palette
Brand: Necromancy Cosmetica (Independent)
Quantity: 11.65 net weight grams (8 shadows)
Cruelty-free: Yes
Vegan: Yes
Price range: Mid-High
Quality: Great
Consistency: Powder (Matte and 1 shimmer)
Skin types: All types
Key features: Highly pigmented deep shades / Compact unique design with magnetic detachable mirror / cruelty-free / vegan
Can I buy this in the UK? Unfortunately not, I got mine directly from Necromancy Cosmeticaā€™s website https://necromancycosmetica.com in the Puerto Rico . They include duties tax at checkout, check my guide to international shipping. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes they ship worldwide, and if youā€™re based in the Puerto Rico as well as anywhere in the US, this should be straightforward and affordable. If youā€™re in Puerto Rico, they even have a store. If you live outside the US, check the brandā€™s website and your countryā€™s guidelines on imported goods and parcels (government and mailing service websites). You could save a bit with a bigger haul though it would increase the customs, read more about it below under the intro/brand section.
Review Intro / Brand (including service/delivery/availability) Iā€™ve heard of this Puerto Rican indie brand but theyā€™ve only been selling lipsticks until now (and Iā€™ve been eyeing their lipsticks too). Iā€™m happy to see they also have a housing/neutering project for cats (check out their @catsofnecromancy account on Instagram).
The availability of the palette was really good, especially on launch. Given Iā€™m in the UK, I got the package fairly quick from the day I ordered to receiving it all in 3 and a bit weeks, which is pretty good for an international small indie brand.
International shipping can be pricey outside the US which is all based on our countryā€™s rules - the good thing is their taxes are included at checkout so all paid upfront. Check my guide to international shipping.
Standard shipping excludes insurance, the brand ship using USPS and doesnā€™t take any responsibility of what happens to the package once it ships out of the US, so itā€™s a little risk to be aware of, you might be more comfortable using a US delivery forwarding service to send the package to. I didnā€™t use this, I ordered like normal on the site to deliver to my address, and I got my package no problem and in perfect condition.
Design (concept/packaging/colour story)
The design is so beautiful and unique. While itā€™s a more aesthetic design than functional, I had not problem using the palette. As the palette folds out in a concatenate arrangement, it can flop a little and wonā€™t lay out super straight, but I honestly donā€™t find this a problem,
Melancholy and Penumbra do look incredibly similar, there is a slight difference though where Melancholy has a saturated navy blue/teal tone, whereas Penumbra is more neutral like a bluish grey. Maybe another light shimmer may have been nice but given the theme, these types of shades are probably more appreciated.
Formula (texture/application/fallout/performance/wear)
The shades feel nice and slightly soft (not too soft) and are very easy to apply with a little fallout. There can be fallout in the pan if applying the brush too much, but this shouldnā€™t be necessary as the shades are so pigmented, light application will do. They get a little harder as you press more over time, which is normal. They blend pretty well, the darker shadows like Penumbra naturally need a little more blending, same with Melancholy, these particular ones need a bit of building. The shades are much deeper than they appear in the palette with the black background, which I prefer with my hybrid hooded/monolid eyes where I use transition.
They wear pretty good (I have oily lids), lasting even up to 8 or 9 hours with primer.
Price range/product amount/value for money
The palette is more on the expensive side, however, for the high quality and uniqueness of the overall product from this indie brand meets good value.
Verdict: Beautiful high quality palette, worth the buy, maybe with a bit more price to ship internationally. A unique piece for any collection.

THE PASTEL ROSES The Pastel Kiss waterproof matte liquid lipstick/h2> Solid and thick, beautiful shades
Product: Lipstick (shades used: Pastel Pink, Ruby, Sweetheart)
Brand: The Pastel Roses
Cruelty-free: Yes (not yet listed, planning to certify, ingredients from certified suppliers)
Vegan: Yes
Price range: Low-Mid
Product amount: 5ml / fl oz 0.169
Quality: Fair
Consistency: Liquid (more thick and creamy - dries matte)
Skin types: All types (neutral on lighter complexions, more pastel on darker complexions except Ruby that is darker on lighter complexions and more vibrant on darker complexions)
Key features: Matte / Waterproof / Creamy / affordable / cruelty-free / vegan
Can I buy this in the UK? Yes, you can buy their products on their online site: www.thepastelroses.com, and their delivery is usually quick. Theyā€™re offering 15% discount on your order at the time of this post (December 2020): use 15PASTELROSE at the checkout (as at December 2020). Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? They usually ship worldwide, at the time of this post, Covid-19 changes to rules are frequent, check their website for the latest information: https://www.thepastelroses.com/shipping-information. Theyā€™re offering 15% discount on your order at the time of this post (December 2020): use 15PASTELROSE at the checkout (as at December 2020).
Review Intro / Brand (including service/delivery/availability) Iā€™ve noticed indie brand The Pastel Roses growing in popularity in the last year particularly for their single eyeshadows, a few of which Iā€™ve reviewed. However, I was really curious about the lipsticks that were on their site so I decided to try the available ones out since a few of them were also on sale.
As always, ordering was very easy and their direct UK domestic shipping is super quick and in perfect condition, I got them within a couple of days. They also offer worldwide shipping too.
Design (concept/packaging/colour story)
These lipsticks are very pretty, packaged in a cute holder with a decent doe foot applicator. With the exception of Ruby being deep and vibrant, theyā€™re deep neutral shades that I think would be flattering for most complexions, whether they appear more light or dark.
Formula (texture/application/fallout/performance/wear)
The liquid lipstick are very thick and creamy, which is what makes them comfortable to apply on the lips. Given itā€™s designed to be waterproof, they do dry fairly quick and then feel solid on the lips - putting too much on will make they feel more dry likely to crumble. 1 application and a bit will provide more than enough decent coverage as theyā€™re opaque, and with that they look nice, and will wear nicely too.
Theyā€™re not totally transfer-proof once on the lips, more noticeable with Ruby, they will transfer slightly. Itā€™s also why Ruby was a little difficult to apply accurately because of the thickness, but you can get a great result with a red lip liner.
Sweetheart and Pastel pink can leave a slight stain but this is probably why they wore really well on the lips, and the stain can come off quite quickly They last really well.
Price range/product amount/value for money
The product amount is fine, it doesnā€™t say how long it lasts but I would predict it has a 12 month life at the most, probably standard. Theyā€™re really affordable for an indie brand in my opinion, I think the qualityā€™s not bad at all, decent value for money.
Verdict: Really nice shades, performs fine and therefore very affordable for an indie brand.

TERRA MOONS COSMETICS Cosmic Chameleon eyeshadows (Lunar cosmic chameleon and Solar cosmic chameleon multichrome shadows)
High quality multichromes that live up to the hype
Product: Eyeshadow palette (mini travel version used)
Brand: Terra Moons Cosmetics
Quantity: 26mm single eyeshadow pan
Cruelty-free: Yes
Vegan: Yes
Price range: Mid-High
Quality: Great
Consistency: Powder (multichrome)
Skin types: All types
Key features: Cosmic theme / multichrome / cruelty-free / vegan
Can I buy this in the UK? Unfortunately not, I got mine directly from Terra Moons Cosmeticā€™s website https://terramoonscosmetics.com in the US. They do not include custom charges at checkout, check my guide to international shipping. You could save a bit with a bigger haul though it would increase the customs, read more about it below under the intro/brand section. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes they ship worldwide, and if youā€™re based in US, this should be straightforward and affordable. If you live outside the US, check Terra Moonsā€™ website and your countryā€™s guidelines on imported goods and parcels (government and mailing service websites)They do not include custom charges at checkout, check my guide to international shipping. You could save a bit with a bigger haul though it would increase the customs, read more about it below under the intro/brand section.
Review Intro / Brand (including service/delivery/availability) While the US brand Terra Moons Cosmetics have great duochromes and mattes, theyā€™re known for their multichrome eyeshadows and their chameleons really are something that is a little more rare in the UK. Multichromes tend to be available on pre-order, and hough it can take a month or so, that expectation is set upfront, and my experience is that theyā€™re good on delivering within those expectations. While pre-orders may close during processing the last orders, they will re-open once the last orders have been delivered. You can sign up to their mailing list to keep up to date.
International shipping can be pricey outside the US. In the UK, you could pay as much for shipping as the products. This might be okay for a few low priced products but it does increase with more. Thereā€™s also customs tax, check my guide to international shipping. As at March 2021, Terra Moons offer free international shipping if the order is over $120, but this can still increase the customs fee.
Standard shipping excludes insurance (if something happens to your pack in the post) but I noticed recently they now offer an add-on route package insurance, which seems cheaper than the insurance option with shipping before. Iā€™ve shipped using the standard option without insurance and received packages without problems, though you may not decide to risk it with higher priced goods or hauls. If too much, Iā€™ll be recommending some UK brands soon so stay tuned.
Design (concept/packaging/colour story)
These eyeshadows can be bought individually or as a bundle. If you like particular shades, I would opt to choose one or a few and some shades are similar enough. The multichrome shades from the lunar and solar collection are beautiful, the most noticeable shifts to me were Sun Scorched, Helix Nebula, Artemis and Ceres. The rest werenā€™t far behind, with Counting Stars being the most subtle. They are all packaged as single shadows in card and plastic that seem recyclable, once opened youā€™ll need a magnetic palette to put them in.
Formula (texture/application/fallout/performance/wear)
The shades feel quite soft (not too soft) and are very easy to apply with a little fallout. They recommend using a primer or glitter glue, but they are very pigmented even without a primer, as youā€™ll see in the video, impressive for performance. They also blend pretty well, the shadows with a darker base like inertia, helix nebula or sun scorched can speckle a bit with textured skin.
They wear pretty good (I have oily lids), lasting around 7 hours, less without any primer.
The shifts are so noticeable, these are really high quality
Price range/product amount/value for money
For the price of the products, they are decent given they are high quality. It could be worth a treat to get one shadow without unnecessarily breaking the bank.
Verdict: Beautiful high quality multichrome shadows, worth a treat, maybe with a bit of a price to ship internationally.
Product description: These shades contain dyes that may stain. CosmicĀ Chameleons are color shifting shadows that change their appearance depending on the lighting. TheyĀ are hybrid shadows between a vivid metallicĀ and iridescent chameleon. These are best applied with a primer or a glitter glue to intensify the shift.
Ingredients: Mica, Silica, Tin oxides, Boron Nitride, Nylon 12, Caranuba Wax, Magnesium Stearate, Dimethicone, Caprylic Triglyceride, Isododecane and Phenoexyethanol.

Can I buy this in the UK? You can buy it directly online at https://sigil.me, or their Etsy that includes shipping in the price (it is a Russian based indie brand). Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes, it is a Russian based indie brand that offers worldwide shipping.
Review Intro / Brand (including service/delivery/availability) Have you heard of Sigil Inspired Tammy Tanuka yet? Itā€™s a Russian indie brand thatā€™s grown super popular. While these palettes are trending in the beauty community, they sell over 800 eyeshadows (pigments and pans) as well as highlighters and nail colour. Tammy Tanuka is the nickname of the founder whoā€™s an artist, photographer, colourist and author of the gaming universe. Creativity is features everywhere in their brand, product design and t community. The team carefully design and release makeup around concepts, stories and artwork - a Sigil universe. Given Sigil means a symbol or sign thatā€™s associated with magical powers, itā€™s a perfect brand name. Iā€™m sharing more of my experience and info in this blog as Sigil Inspired is a bit different to most, not sure if you might find it useful.
They publish a theme each week with a story, that goes into packaging of any orders at the time, including a collectible artwork card attached. They also release ā€˜drop gamesā€™ that can be offers or giveaways for a story usually linked to the next upcoming theme of the week. Depending on the offer, you might be able to get a free limited edition pigment. As I learnt more about the promotions, I found these are fun and engaging. The free pigments I was eligable to receive with my order (palette+pigments) were beautiful (ā€˜She who Overthrew The Tyrantā€™ 15ml sample and a larger ā€˜Triumph of Lightā€™ limited edition pigment from the drop game).
Iā€™ve ordered from Etsy before which is straightforward. I ordered the palette with other things on their site which has an English version (select ā€œENā€ at the top), a few things donā€™t translate, but I used Google Translate very easily! It takes getting used to navigating, but I found my way via the ā€˜catalogueā€™ link, that page has easy side links like new collections and a search function. Thereā€™s decent product information on the pages, some with stories behind them, and you should be able to tell which one is a full or smaller version in the selection box. At checkout I can also choose the special packaging or keep to simple packaging without the card, which is more of a sustainably responsible choice, I didnā€™t see any price difference come up during my order. There are shipping rates to consider, theyā€™re relative to amount and weight of products, it can be expensive as you order more, if you order a few shadows for instance, I think the shipping will work out reasonably based on their current estimates (they have shipping rates on the site). But it includes delivering to the UK pretty quick for an indie brand, I got it within a week.
Design (concept/packaging/colour story)
I got the mini Joyous Ice Fish palette which is just beautiful with the embossed fish and patterns. The palette is very small and pretty, perfect if you donā€™t think youā€™ll use it so much, want something compact, or just want to try. The way it ties with the theme is great, and the colour story is very pretty, and I like the artwork from the card that comes with it. The palette is a little heavier than I expected, but itā€™s quite solid which is good.
While the palette is limited, itā€™s great that the shadows are magnetic and refills of these shades (both 15mm and 26mm pans) are still available to buy separately.
The darkest matte shade 062 is not the deepest shade Iā€™ve seen in palettes, but itā€™s still a decent transition shade that works well if you build and blend the pigment with the lighter shades and shimmers. I really like the choice of shimmer tones and hues, which can help create some versatile looks with this palette. The lightest shade 026 is based on a highlighter and turns out like a translucent periwinkle blue, which I find interesting - almost like a subtle topper.
Formula (texture/application/fallout/performance/wear)
The shades feel quite soft (not too soft), Iā€™d say be careful not to drop this one! If youā€™re used to high pigment shadows, you may find the mattes take slightly bit more to blend and build, for me this is fine, I quite like these types of formula too. They wear fairly decent, they donā€™t last as long as the shimmers, which performed really well. The shimmers have a very slight satin feel but still stand out like foiled shimmers (not sparkly but definitely shiny!)
There is just a little bit of fallout, which is quite normal for soft shades, I was able to brush this off after most of the time. Blending was pretty easy, Iā€™ve really enjoyed using this palette.
I tend to have oily eyelids so the wear was within or around 6 hours with primer and setting spray, maybe a bit more occasionally with the shimmers. After that, it can actually wear for a bit, maybe couple hours more.
Price range/product amount/value for money
I think the price on their site is pretty decent considering the packaging design and quality produced by an indie brand. I say this is mid-high range for quality and value of the whole package. Iā€™m not sure why but on Etsy it seems pricer with the shipping than on site, Iā€™d recommend doing a comparison and check the details.
Verdict: Beautiful colour story and packaging, really good quality shadows and options, decent value that might be worth a treat!

Review Thereā€™s a growing choice of water-activated eyeliners (aka cakeliners) by indie makeup brands, though Glisten Cosmeticsā€™s latest range iridescent duo-chrome wetliners are currently unique on the market. Of course I couldnā€™t resist! Thereā€™s 5 shades released in 3g pots (lasts 18 months once opened), so I decided to get the bundle where they also have a savings deal (you can buy these separately too).
The water-actived wetliners work the same way as others, the consistency was easy to build up after adding water. The iridescent liners performed really well on the eyes, some of the duo-chrome effects were subtle but most were noticeable with a duochrome. Theyā€™re the most impactful on a black base, but create a beautiful glow over a white base or bare. As a novice, Iā€™ve learnt a powder base is much better to use given these liners are also liquid based - too much liquid based makeup build-up can cause the cakiness and cracked look. You can see this in my white base swatches where I used a liquid base primer.
I tend to have oily eyelids and these eyeliners performed very well, lasting most of the day, after wearing theyā€™ll slowly crumble like other liners.
Theyā€™re a little pricier than other liners but given theyā€™re iridescent duochromes, theyā€™re still a little more special, and while theyā€™re not low budget, theyā€™re still somewhat affordable even for an odd treat to your collection.
Verdict: Beautiful and unique wetliners, worthy having in your collection if you use water-activated liners or are interested in trying.

Price range: Mid-High
Quality: Great
Consistency: Liquid (duo chrome)

Key features: Duochrome / long lasting wear / cruelty-free / vegan / palm-oil free
Can I buy this in the UK? Yes, you can buy this directly on www.ve-cosmetics.com. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes, VE Cosmetics offers worldwide shipping.
Review Iā€™ve not tried VE Cosmetics eyeliners before, and was excited to try these Bewitching eyeliners as I love all things duo-chrome. Iā€™m a fan.
These eyeliners come in eight shades, the ones with the most differing colours had the most noticeable shifts, while similar colours on the spectrum are a little more subltle, but the shades are a beautiful range.
The pen and precision brush makes these liquid liners very easy to apply evenly and consistently, especially for someone like me who enjoys wearing makeup but have less experience with a steady hand.
I tend to have oily eyelids and the eyeliners performed very well. They last most of the day until you need to take off your makeup. I experienced little staining given theyā€™re a vegan formula, which tended to wear off within the day.
As in the video, I enjoyed creating looks with these in different ways. Theyā€™re also multifunctional so you can use them as eyeshadow and to dot on the eyes too, making them very versatile products. The price is fair for the quality of these liners, Iā€™d definitely recommend it for anyone interesting in these.
Verdict: Beautiful, easy-to use liners
Product description: These eyeliners are multifunctional - can be used as eyeliner, shadows or dotted onto lips, very versatile. Each eyeliner has its own ethereal shift in colour. * Believe: A beautiful soft baby/powder blue to lilac shift * Bewitchment: A bold Brown/Red with a pistachio green shift * Bloodline: a Soft Lilac to Mauve Grey * Blood Moon: Red to Copper/Orange * Calling: Baby Pink to Gold/green * Goddess: Aqua Blue to Green * Fae: Gold to bronze to Green * Spirit: Gold to Copper/Peach Remember as these are vegan some of the dyes used might cause staining to the skin on the delicate eye area - I have extensively tested these myself and haven't found an issue, but legally I have to state that this may happen.

Review
The Viseart palette is without a doubt a high quality product that you pay for. Given their palettes are generally designed with the makeup artist in mind, the packaging is sleek and on point for its springtime romantic vibes of Paris
The formula is pigmented but itā€™s not a vibrant one, this palette is for those who prefer the delicate, subtle and natural look with a slight pop of colour. I have days where I prefer more variety found in other palettes/shadows, and some where I want to reach for a basic subtle look, where a palette like this is perfect.
The colour story is very pretty, I would like to see at least one more deeper shade that could make this palette more versatile not only for darker complexions but for eye shapes that need extra depth using just chocolatier (the darkest shade) would still need a bit of effort to blend with different looks. However, if you like the consistent wearable looks, I think this palette is ideal.
Verdict: Great quality, worth it if you like a consistent light, subtle and pretty look.

Brand: ColourPop

Quality: Great

Can I buy this in the UK? Unfortunately not, I got mine directly from ColourPopā€™s website in the US. ColourPop will apply all charges (customs tax and shipping) after checkout, so international shipping is hassle free as youā€™ve paid everything you need altogether, and you donā€™t have to worry about a separate customs charge at the post office. Itā€™ll then be delivered straight to your door. It usually takes 7-10 days which is pretty good. Once all charges are applied though, these products donā€™t work out as cheap as if youā€™re US based, but you can save shipping if you spend a certain amount (as at November 2020, free if over $60, $9.99 otherwise - customs will be another fee on top of this. Check their help/delivery section on their website (ColourPop.com) for the latest updates. As at March 2021, Iā€™ve had no issues in the UK receiving shipping from ColourPop. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? ColourPop does cover international shipping elsewhere too, check their help/delivery section on their website (ColourPop.com), thereā€™s a few countries youā€™ll pay customs separately. Most of the products seems to have sold out but check the website in case they occasionally restock limited edition products.
Review Wine & Only Eyeshadow Palette I have a few red palettes from ColourPop, but a deep red themed palette is not one in my collection, and definitely stands out from their other palettes. I was immediately obsessed with the metallic rose shade ā€˜Play to Wineā€™ in this palette and while pleasantly surprised with the Grapeful shade, which isnā€™t the usual brown matte staple they usually have in their palettes, but a matte beautifully infused with sparkle.
Reds are sometimes a hard pigment to formulate for performing well, while the mattes werenā€™t a perfect blend ColourPop standards for my eyes (slightly textured), it was near enough and exceptionally good. The quality is great for the base price (again if youā€™re non-US, it would be different as thereā€™s more shipping and customs cost). They are indeed long-wearing, pigmented, and very comfortable to apply.
You might find you can create some limited variety of looks with this, for me I donā€™t mind palettes like this as I do sometimes wear favourites or same looks as part of the every day makeup. Iā€™d recommend this if you do tend to wear these maroon/soft reds every now and then.
Blush (Supershock formula) - Brut Flute
I have a few supershock blushes from ColourPop but this is the first Iā€™ve reviewed. The shimmery or satin finish is incredibly subtle, it could be because my cheeks do not have much dimensional shape (mainly somewhat low curve surface!). Iā€™d say the shade on me (light/neutral) is a soft maroon, it may look more rose gold on a different complexion.
It is comfortable, builds and blends really nicely, and has a very good wear for the day. Iā€™ve enjoyed wearing this blush many times since.
Lipstick (Lippie Stix formula) - Goldie
I chose the shade Goldie as it seems liked a warm almost brick red, but I think with my complexion (light/neutral) it is a deeper berry/bergundy look on me. I still like the colour, but itā€™s one to be wary if youā€™re particular with colours. I think the shade could look more like the picture/description if you have a medium or darker complexion though with a different tone.
I love the formula, it is incredibly velvety and moisturising (I have dry lips), itā€™s also very comfortable to wear. It can smudge a little during the day with contact - with a full coverage deep colour like this itā€™s not a pretty sight, so be careful! The wear is impressive though for a creamy formula, it wore well for up to 4 hours with little contact.
Verdict: Great quality, beautiful packaging and shades, I recommend if you like these deep/soft red shades, worth getting if you donā€™t have something like this in your collection.

Check their help/delivery section on their website (ColourPop.com) for the latest updates. Most of the products seems to have sold out but check the website in case they occasionally restock limited edition products.
Review This palette is one of few I decided to get from ColourPop at the start of this year (stay tuned, the next one is coming up!). The reason I got this and would recommend to others for, is that itā€™s a curated palette of 9 single eyeshadows, so you can also take the shadows out to mix and match your own custom palette, or compact selection for travelling. I also really like the selection of warm glowy shades (golds, warm browns with a few mattes having a sparkle, terracotta), which is well thought out for this prosperity-themed palette. It also works out about $1.77 per shadow, with a magnetic palette considered free, this is actually a bargain, itā€™s super affordable in this respect.
They perform to ColourPop formula standards which are great for the base price (if you live outside the US, donā€™t forget to consider the shipping and customs youā€™ll pay!). They are indeed long-wearing, pigmented, and very comfortable to apply. The pressed glitter does fall out, and depending on your experience, youā€™ll notice itā€™s got a mixture of fine glitter and more medium sized This is really versatile as I was able to create wearable looks, neutral/nude warm looks and glam looks for the occasion.
The packaging is simple and pretty, and I like the theme theyā€™ve centred the colour stories on..
Itā€™s relatively affordable. Shipping to the UK is pretty easy though itā€™s worth checking Royal Mailā€™s website in the UK (or your local mailing service) at the time of this post given they are struggling with increased international post demands.
Verdict: Great quality, well designed, again worth getting if you donā€™t have something like this in your collection.

KALEIDOS Lip Tonic lipstick and Lucid Lip gloss
Pretty good, beautiful packaging and finish
Product: Lipsticks and lip gloss (shades used: Collision, Immersion, Mesmerize)
Brand: Kaleidos
Cruelty-free: Yes
Vegan: Yes
Price range: High
Quality: Good - Really Good
Consistency: Liquid
Finish: Collision: Satin/Metallic / Immersion: Demi-matte / Mesmerize: High shine
Skin types: All types
Key features: Highly moisturising / minimal fudging / confortable / cruelty-free / Vegan
Can I buy this in the UK? Unfortunately not, it is only directly available from their site, though they do ship to the UK (as at August 2020. International shipping is still $6-$8 USD per order but as at February, shipping is FREE for orders over $100 USD. Shipping times are 4-10 days, though with a few exceptions, the shipping times are all slower than normal due to COVID-19. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes, the same way as above online.
Review Iā€™ve reviewed the Starsurfer and Prophecy highlighters from this Chinese-American indie brand before, which are their well-known products alongside eye palettes. This time, I thought Iā€™d review their liquid lip products: Lip Tonics are matte liquid lipsticks described as a matte lip stain moisturising like a liquid lipstick, while the Lucid Lips are high shine glosses.
Both lip products are in a frosted tube with a comfortable doe-foot applicator, packaged in a creative pyramid-like container, wrapped intact with a lace string with creative illustrative artwork that Kaleidos are well known for.
The Lip Tonic lipsticks I tried had slightly different finishes, both of which I think are not complete matte formulas, probably demi-matte and with different but beautiful finishes. They feel comfortable and fairly moisturising, they do have a bit of smudging. While it advertises staying power, Iā€™d say they can last up to 4 hours at best without much contact with the lips, this can range between 2 to 4 hours when Iā€™ve been wearing them.
The Collision shade is my favourite with a deep red that Iā€™d describe as a satin finish, and I think itā€™s a fairly rare shade to find at the moment, at least in the UK. Itā€™s definitely the type of red Iā€™d love to wear for an occasion, like the lunar year thatā€™s coming up.
The Immersion shade is more of a neutral brownish mauve hue with a soft matte finish. It feels and looks more sheer with a thinner formula. I realised this is no longer selling on Kaleidosā€™s website but not sure if they are bringing it back in stock.
The Lucid Lip gloss Mesmerize was the only shade I tried as I donā€™t wear tonnes of gloss. Itā€™s a great complementary shade to the Immersion Lip Tonic, with a cool neutral mauve tint that is noticeable. Itā€™s not too tacky and has a beautiful shine. Like most glosses, these donā€™t last long, but it is a really pretty gloss Iā€™d use.
Price-wise, theyā€™re fairly standard in the mid range, and I think the quality is good. Given they are based in Shanghai, Iā€™ve found their delivery is pretty decent and Iā€™ve had them delivered in good time. I had heard it can take longer for the US so I would give it a month period between purchasing and receiving. I think this is pretty good for an international brand.
Verdict: Beautiful shades, good quality thatā€™s fairly priced with standard wear.
Product description: Lip Tonic Liquid Lipstick is the remedy for your deepest, most burning matte cravings. These potent elixirs of ruby red behave like a lip stain but with the moisturization and pigmentation of traditional liquid lipstick. Like a veil for your lips, this ultra-light lipstick has high staying power and comfortable wear, applies with clean, crisp edges, and leaves your lips feeling nourished and hydrated.Ā  Lucid Lip Gloss was made to help you bring your gloss fantasy to life. Silky smooth and highly volumizing, this gloss slides on like a liquid, but adheres to lips with a soft hold and a spotless finish. Each stroke leaves an effortlessly clean, defined edge, with no feathering, smudging, or stickiness. Charged with an iridescent shine and a polarizing, translucent finish, this mesmerizing gloss will give you the lucid lips of your dreams.

Key features: Easy to blend / Buildable pigmentation / Dimensional matte finish / cruelty-free / Vegan / Talc-free / Paraben free / Gluten free
Can I buy this in the UK? Unfortunately not, it is only directly available from their site, though they do ship to the UK (as at January2021, international shipping is Ā£6.99, shipping is FREE for orders over Ā£75 (check the site at lethalcosmetics.com for the latest info). Shipping times are usually 6 days, however the shipping times are definitely much more slower than normal due to COVID-19. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? Yes, itā€™s even better if you are in Germany or EU as the brand is based in Berlin. They also offer international shipping (check the site at lethalcosmetics.com for the latest info).
Review Lethal Cosmetics is one of those indie makeup brands I wish most cruelty-free makeup get to the standard of in terms of quality and assurance - theyā€™re PETA-certified as cruelty and vegan, and their pressed shadows are a beautiful pigmented range, very easy to use with good wear. I was excited to see them releasing face powders in November (2020).
I got two blushes and a bronzer (no highlighter as the one Iā€™d choose for me was out of stock) and decided to get a custom palette so I can pick the powders I know Iā€™d want to use fully. I love the custom palette builder for this reason, rather than a default set of shades where a few you may not prefer to use as much. You donā€™t save a huge amount of money as a custom palette apart from the magnetic palette they priced as Ā£10 separately, otherwise the shades would work out around the same amount as if you got them separately (around Ā£13 the time of this post). I think this is still good for 5g, if you bought a single blush/bronzer, this is fairly comparable to average mid-price range (maybe a bit more) for singles in the stores. So I think this is good value for money that would give you a good last of use, you can buy these as singles too which maybe a better option for some that only want to choose one or two powders to use.
Iā€™ve been looking for these blush shades as theyā€™re pretty rare. The shades look close to the online pictures, though a little more muted as I expected. I think they have a great range of special blushes and a decent range of basic bronzers on the site.
The Neophyte (yellow) blush and the Tendril (orange) blush are actually very similar once blended with a normal subtle build on the face - unless you compare them side by side, itā€™s a very subtle difference, which you can see from the video and photos. Neophyte adds a little lighter warmth, whereas Tendril provides a slightly darker level of warmth. The bronzer turned out a good match for me, which is hard when you shop online rather than testing in store.
The powders applied, blended and built beautifully just like their shadows. The wear was really for a blush/bronzer - my face is a little oily and dryer towards the outside lately, on that basis they last up to 5 hours with the standard light application bare, maybe less. With primer and setting spray, they can last around 9 hours or more. A few times, it did last 10+ hours untouched.
I really like the magnetic palette too, itā€™s very handy to have your main Lethal face powders to reach for. It has a cute slogan under the mirror (ā€œthere is no winning without beginningā€) and the rose gold with a bit of holo is so pretty. This blush set is definitely my go to at the moment, and I think the bronzer will be the same once I run out of my bodyshop bronzer which Iā€™m going through a lot!
Verdict: Beautiful shades, beautiful quality.

Review If youā€™ve read my blogs before, youā€™ll know Iā€™m one of the growing number of multichrome makeup fans (check out my last multichrome review blog here).
I bought three shades from LoveMakeupā€™s website based in the UK, which is one of Danessa Myricks Beautyā€™s official resellers. I think this is a great way to get makeup from this brand more easily and affordably given the US shipping often imposes a separate customs/import charges that can make things too expensive (sometimes the price is as much as the product alone!). Two were sold out so I bought the remaining two from Beautylish - a US online store that includes any custom costs at checkout and is a very quick delivery to the UK.
The eyeshadow tube design is very elegant and complements the multichrome liquid eyeshadow it contains. The liquid eyeshadows themselves are very beautiful and the best multichrome liquid eyeshadows Iā€™ve tried so far (JD Glow, Natasha Denona, Dominique Cosmetics, CiatĆ© London).
The consistency is smooth, gliding fairly evenly and easily onto the lids with little fixing. The pigmentation and multichrome effect is great on most of the shades, Soulmate is probably the most subtle, itā€™s soft and pretty.
These will also stay all day once itā€™s dried down and not rubbing. I have hybrid mono/hooded lids so I have to lower my eyes until itā€™s dry, but even then my lids do rub so there will be a little wear. But still very impressive and fairly comfortable.
As the first Danessa Myricks make-up Iā€™ve tried, I was really impressed. It is expensive, but I can see a little why with this type of quality; itā€™s still cheaper than Natasha Denona and would say the Twin Flames are the best ones to get if you are considering a multichrome liquid eyeshadow. Absolutely beautoiful.
Verdict:
It is definitely a high impact multichrome, comfortable, long wearing, easy to get online in UK/Europe if you want it in your collection. Expensive but worth the treat.

THE BODY SHOPĀ® Special Edition Winter Jasmine collection
Fresh pine and cosy vibes
Products: Shower gel, soap, body butter, hand moisturiser
Brand: The Body ShopĀ®
Cruelty-free: Yes
Vegan: Yes
Price range: Mid
Quality: Great
Consistency: shower gel: gel with foam/body butter: thick cream/soap: solid with foaming / hand moisturiser: thin-medium cream
Skin types: All types
Key features: Special edition winter collection / christmas/floral scent / cruelty-free / Vegan
Can I buy this in the UK? Yes, I got these at The Body ShopĀ® (click to find online via my affiliate link - limited edition subject to availability). You can order online and itā€™s pretty quick, which is great for these times! The soap may only be available in some shops when open. Can I buy it if Iā€™m not in the UK? In some countries yes - go to the bottom of this page (via my affiliate link) to find your country.
Review I love the pine fresh yet cosy scent during winter time for home comforts, particularly being homebound this Christmas. I fell back in love with The Body ShopĀ® this year, and their Winter Jasmine shower gel and body butter served me that soothing aromatherapy over the holidays; feeling good from the shower and feeling super moisturised with the same thick butter formula melting onto the skin. The key fragrances are orange flower, fresh jasmine and rose petals, though I still feel like the scent gives me that pine cosy scent of nature and winter.
Itā€™s certainly not too late to enjoy these vibes with the spring ahead, especially at a very affordable price while theyā€™re still available in the sales that are up to 50% off.
My hands get very dry during these seasons, so I got the hand cream to match. Itā€™s light yet quickly absorbed to moisturise my hands really well, and I canā€™t resist smelling it with a pleasant sigh after applying!
As a vegan product, the soap also works well, the way it looks goes with a marble woody textured aesthetic. Though thereā€™s nothing usually spectacular about soaps, this still foams and cleanses to satisfaction.
Iā€™ve actually ordered another set to enjoy into the spring, though there are sets that are available, which would be even more value for money. Iā€™m definitely enjoying these and getting my feel good vibes every time!
Verdict: Great quality, soothing and satisfying.
