all my evidence that holiday collection is the next rerecording

if we go with the theory that all the rerecordings will come out during the eras tour, which would make the holiday collection the last rerecording if it comes out next christmas. that's silly, rep and debut would both symbollically be really good ones to finish on. the holiday collection would not, so it only makes sense to release it this christmas.

it has original music on it, so it realistically does need to be rerecorded. also rerecording it even though it's an ep would be such a middle finger to scooter.

"this year" (from last christmas) at the start of the tn thanksgiving post that was otherwise meaningless.

"we could leave the christmas lights up til february" on the spotify playlist. tour resumes in feburary, the collection woild be the only taylor time we get until then.

first two songs' first letters on the playlist are L and C (last christmas, the first song on the collection) followed by heather, which mentions 3rd december.

the collection is not significant enough to need a big announcement, so it's a great buffer between tour legs.

something i've been thinking about:

we were wrong to think "slut!" would be a political/hyper feminist song. on reflection, it's exactly what we should've expected. 1989 never had political elements in it - i think blank space is less of a commentary and more of a satire on a personal level of taylor's treatment by the media (that is to say, not a discussion of women as a whole). she has said it was between blank space and "slut!" so to me they're about the same thing.

another thing. i really don't think rep tv is coming soon. however. i don't think it's greedy or dismissive of 1989 tv having its moment to speculate easter eggs about reputation tv. the bejewled video was basically a promo for speak now tv with how many easter eggs were in it and it didn't come out for another eight months after that. easter eggs say what is NEXT more than what is SOON.
