is there a way to tell sort-of friends who are too cool for you “hey i struggle with making irl female friendships and i find myself friends with men i don’t like and who don’t give me even remotely the emotional support i need in a friendship, would you be down to hang out with me more and introduce me to ur friends too” or is there a better way to phrase that or.

it’s so so awful and i know it makes me sound like a bitch but w this specific guy being friends with him feels like a chore. i don’t really want to spend time with him, i don’t really feel that he makes an effort to understand me, and he drains my social battery faster than almost anyone i’ve met and this is as a lifelong introvert who made it my whole identity for a long time. i feel like an evil person for even saying this but yes ultimately i became friends with him for the same reason i started dating my ex bf, i wasn’t raised to know how to set boundaries or be comfortable doing so without feeling mean. i don’t know what to do. i think i should move states.

my friend invited another one of his (male) friends who ive never met to a fight club/bottoms double feature i was planning with mostly my girl friends in mind and invited him mostly bc i felt bad excluding him and that i told him im probably going to have to postpone bc not enough people can make it. what if i became a lesbian separatist
