Propaganda (abilities and some achievements)

Morrigan: the latest chosen avatar for a pantheon of nine divinities with a theoretically unlimited upper bound on her powers. She’s destroyed and cured a disease (with help) and shut down a human trafficking ring.

Nico: demigod son of hades who’s technically in his 80s but he as the body of a teenager. He was in a Roman senate and lead a skeleton army against titans.

fight setup:

Morrigan has access to Wunder (she can weave (create some small objects), use nocturne for blasts and light, set things on fire, and make shadows) but can’t use gossamer bridge possession or Squall’s monsters (bc that’s technically not her)

Nico has his sword and full powers (necromancy, sensing death, stone and bone control, enhanced physical form, temperature control, fear aura, etc.) but not any direct divine intervention

both are 100% focused on killing each other

HELLO NEVERMOOR FANDOM

So I haven’t posted for a while… but I always try to come out of my introvert hole for at least the start of October (and I’m definitely not late I don’t know what you’re talking about) so we’ll see how far I’ll get into the challenge this time! I’m combining Inktober and Mogtober so I both have more constriction (which allows me to work more creatively) and also less work to do 🥲

This drawing is based off of the ominous dream Morrigan has in Hollowpox (loosely… I don’t know where the eyes came from), in part because I wanted to draw Emmett (definitely Kasey Golden inspired). And I really struggle with lineart, so you’ll see where I made a mistake and went over with a post-it.

Overall though I actually quite like this, which is a relief because it went through a lot. Happy mogtober everyone! Good luck! :D

I feel like a person’s preference between these two is so subjective. I have loved both of these musicals with my whole heart at some point, and I do have a preference now, but looking at them as unbiasedly as I can they are both pieces of theatre with merit and charm and I don’t think there is an objectively right answer here. Some people will prefer one over the other and I think it’s really about personal taste rather than inability to grasp the loftiness of the other. (If that made sense)

There’s actually a line in the original Days Like This where Mendel basically says hospitals make him uncomfortable which is why he chose to become a psychiatrist

So he wanted to become a doctor (money probably haha) but he’s a hypochondriac so his best option was psychiatrist. (Also explains why he is terrible at his job)

Why is Mendel a psychiatrist? Not ONCE in the entire musical does he prescribe a med. He’s a PSYCHOLOGIST. When I sing along, I will be changing this lyric, and I will DIE on this hill.

I made a post about this before but I REALLY love Denée Benton as Miss Cheery. I listened to Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 for her and she killed it. The compassion, optimism and excitement she has as her character is so beautiful and comforting, and totally fits the Miss Cheery vibes for me (the song No One Else is a good example).

There is also a clip of her in Into the Woods where she sings about 40 seconds of On the Steps of the Palace, and I think she seems less young (and childish) in that as she was as Natasha (her as Natasha seems like a teenager to me, while her as Cinderella is more just a naive adult, which is closer to Miss Cheery for me). In this video she also has that humorous (goofy?) nature about her that you can see with Miss Cheery in that first chapter of Hollowpox where she almost falls off of hometrain (maybe it’s the choreography of that song actually, but I think I still stand by it).

And if the links above are any indication she can sing! I love her voice, it’s so warm and friendly and please listen for yourself 😭 (the last 25 seconds of No One Else kill me, even if it’s not the most vocally impressive part of the song)

Of course Miss Cheery isn’t in the first book, but I love this anyway. Feel free to agree or disagree I’m interested to hear your thoughts :)

I throw various actors at the wall for Squall because I have no clue about him and welcome a surprise, but I genuinely can't think of anyone but Domhnall Gleeson being a perfect fit for Jupiter
