i think a lot abt bad parenting in miraculous.. A LOT.. & mari's interactions with her parents or her parental can feel, i think, very meta. are her parents' methods problematic or is their lack of knowledge a plot device? are tikki's methods problematic or a device through which to comment on morality? are master fu's methods problematic or another plot device? are they both? are they neither?

i dont know!! but!! i think her parental figures might b intertwined with what can seem to be devices of plot progression. & that idea rlly affects me.? its the idea that the forces which control her can seem to be the trappings of plot progression (a lot of the time specifically related to her superhero identity), & that those forces might parallel the controlling parents of miraculous .

guys sorry to owl house on main but what if. what if the golden guard before hunter was named prince and that’s why darius calls hunter little prince. the golden guard before hunter was created to be a prince and not a hunter because his job was to be the king’s son - to be loyal to the king because sons OBVIOUSLY could never doubt their fathers right! of course this did not work because sons will rebel. so prince died. then whenever hunter was created belos did not make him his son he made him his nephew because that would make him CALEB’S son! and if sons rebel against their fathers then hunter would not be driven down the same path! but belos still names him hunter anyways because if anything goes wrong, he is having him hunt down the ingredients to make his own replacement. like how hunter was trying to find selkidomus scales and palistrom wood.
