every single day I think about how american black vultures are known for engaging in allopreening (preening between different species)

and they have a specific relationship with crested caracaras, in which the black vultures assist them by not only preening them after meals but also leading them to food in the first place— due to their superior sense of smell— while the caracaras assist the black vultures by acting as a warning signal in case of danger

and while this is more typical of black vultures, this is not common at all for any member of the falconidae family— it’s a special bond!

yet another post in favor of vultures everyone , hope you enjoy:) and I implore you to do some more research on these incredible birds !!

[ I used to have this Tarn that I used to pour milk on and suck the milk back out of and it was sopping wet all the time 😭 i used to slam it against walls and it would make a loud thud ]

OH oh oh!! I can answer this one yes

Omens was built to research the void and constantly interact with the ancients - she had no city, but various different houses would leave their own iterators to visit her for major events !! She was built to hold ceremonies of many different kinds and her structure was considered a very holy site for several different reasons - one being the fact she was built over one of the few known exposed void lakes !

While those ceremonies were her main deal, she also spun thread made from that processed void - anything that could made from it ? She would create it ! She also made very complex tapestries from it - capturing the likeness of the voidbeasts she saw in the void within them ! Any product from her structure was considered very expensive, so as a result - her house was very wealthy.

Though that doesn't exactly answer the question properly..

Her view of the ancients overall was very good ! She loved having them visit her and she loved every moment they stayed - her structure very rarely had periods of being left without them, there was always some sort of traffic. Many ancients saw her as a true god - while many others did not. Either way, they would come in massive crowds to hear her speak ! She had many different outfits for many different occasions- often receiving some as gifts.

Her creators may not have been the best, but she wasn't quite able to see that side of them - to her, they were their own form of deities.

Over time, her structure was repurposed to be a centre for the mass ascension - many familiar faces would come to her for the last time. Her protocols were lax due to her constant good behaviour - one of her tasks coming before the other as time went on. The mass ascension furthered the shift, dragging the void and the ancients close enough to mix. Her research began to take over her opinion of the ancients - while she still viewed them highly, when in the face of the void they began to look more like test subjects than citizens or the like - that last part isn't quite in the rp with Endless, though ! But it is canon to her :]
