And now some Sonic/Jet Role Swap AU doodles inspired by some doodles in my Psychology notebook (I payed attention, don’t worry; I even had an A in that class). The first one is Blaze ranting to Jet (they’re very good friends and interact more than canon Sonic and Blaze). Every friend of her’s comes to her to vent about their problems, especially her best friend Fizaman (this AU’s version of Silver; his big drawing will come soon). Fizaman’s girlfriend Blaze mentioned is Whisper the Wolf (an IDW character I ship Silver with), who also had a traumatic past. This is pretty old and I’m actually gonna give Blaze a redesign for this AU, which y’all will see probably well after Fizaman. Below them is a drawing of Alzayla. I was worried I was never gonna be able to draw him again after the first picture of him, so this was just practice, and I still got it.

Here's the Role Swap AU's version of Shadow, Alzayla the Cat-Hawk. His backstory is basically the same as Shadow's (created by Gerald Robotnik, Maria died, yada yada yada), but Gerald used hawk DNA when creating him as well as some cat DNA for good measure. Alzayla also has the same powers as Shadow, but Alzayla's shoes aren't air shoes. There are rocket ports on either side of fireproof wheels on the soles which mainly serve to provide extra speed and damage. Even though he's very powerful, he focuses on agility more than strength. Although Alzayla is sharp-witted, brooding, merciless, and will always pursue his foes with ruthless determination, Alzayla is quite distinct from Shadow in terms of personality because he's Jet's polar opposite. For example, he is not arrogant at all. He never brags about how powerful he is, and he only makes assumptions about people once he had a good impression with them. He didn't call Jet by the iconic nickname "Faker" until he soundly defeated him in their first battle. He is also extremely intelligent and logical. He always has a plan for everything. He can even be considered to be emotionless at times. He is also very sophisticated and refined. As for relationships, he is Jet's arch-rival, though they can also be friendly if the situation calls for it. His first friend was Maria. Since her death, he is closest with Rouge. He is also close with Shade and Blaze. His relationships with every other character (I'm mentioning Fizaman again because once again, he's this AU's version of Silver) are the same.

Warning: Shirtless chick wears harness oh no scandalous Now here's Wave. She's the deuteragonist of this AU. Wave had a pretty tough upbringing. Her parents are professors at the University of Palmerius, meaning academics were a massive part of her life and she was an extremely good student. Her parents were also beyond strict. Because of this, she rebelled as time went on. When she willingly dropped out of high school, her parents kicked her out of the house, which was exactly what she wanted. After living on the streets for some time, she saw an extreme gear race for the first time. She was incredibly fascinated by how they work and decided to study all she could about them and make her own. Her gear ended up getting rave reviews and she was quickly becoming rich and famous for it. In a short time, she became the official mechanic for the Palmerius Extreme Gear Team. She also took up street dancing on the side and got noticed by Rouge the Bat, the owner of a nightclub called Le Coeur Noir, who wanted to hire dancers. Knowing that she'll really hone her new skills and that the employees there are paid very well, she took the offer. She is very similar to her canon self, retaining her intelligence, arrogance, stubbornness, sensibility, and sass. However, she is even more morally grey than usual and she has a serious wild side. She loves to party and start riots. She is a major thrill seeker and gets bored very easily. She's an Extreme Gear mechanic during the day, a dancer at Le Coeur Noir at night, and a driver-for-hire later at night. One of her clients was one Aura the Wolf. She retains her intellectual abilities from the canon, but in this AU, she's stronger and is a fantastic dancer. She's good at many kinds of street dances. She is best friends with Aura. She even sees her as a younger sister. She is also on good terms with her coworkers at Le Coeur Noir. I love this drawing. It's probably my best yet. Maybe I made her a little too masc, but masc Wave is something I'd see and draw any day of the week.

The first piece of my Outrun AU. My OC Aura is the main protagonist. She was homeless throughout much of her childhood and it was kind of a blur to her, She was a big fan of Extreme Gear racing and watched any race she was able to sneak into. Her favorite type was bike-type gear, and she even learned how to ride a bike and bike-type gear after she stole someone's gear. She also took up hacking to support herself, but one of her exploits got her in trouble. It was there when she met Wave the Swallow, the driver who arrived right at the nick of time who would become her best friend. She retains many of her traits from the canon such as her intelligence, iron will, tomboyishness, and stubbornness, but she's far more morally grey and even colder than she usually is. She will stop at nothing to get what she wants, even if her methods are questionable. She will also be merciless to those who merit it. Despite this, she has ethical limits. During the day, she's a professional Extreme-Gear rider/racer who specializes in bike-type gear. She's the bike-type racer on the Palmerius team. At night, she's a hacker who exploits and blackmails those who deserve it. She's also a member of Shadow the Hedgehog's hacking business. While she retains her aura powers, the only times they're showcased are when she uses them for telekinesis and flight. She is a fantastic Extreme Gear rider, particularly with bike-type gear. She is also a skilled hacker. She also retains her imperviousness to chemicals, but this is only really showcased when she drinks alcohol. Alcohol actually has beneficial effects for her and she can't get drunk. She is best friends with Wave the Swallow. In fact, the two kind of have a sisterly bond. Her biggest change in character is her relationship with Saber the Eagle. While Saber has a one-sided crush on her in the canon, the two are actually a couple in this AU. 

The second outfit is just her main outfit without the jacket, the third outfit is her Extreme Gear-racing outfit, and the fourth outfit is her swimsuit.

Here's Sonic the Hedgehog, the leader of the Babylon Rogues and the one Jet is swapped with. Being a Legendary Wind Master, Sonic is an extremely talented Extreme Gear rider. He's one of the best in the world. He specializes in board-type gear, but he's great with any kind. He's very fast, agile, and acrobatic as well. Personality-wise, Sonic is very similar to his canon self. He is cool, bold, fast-talking, competitive, and has attitude. However, he's morally grey as the leader of the Babylon Rogues and he's more haughty. He's also less patient, particularly with matters relating to his team. Like Sonic in the canon, he is quite charismatic and witty, but this trait is more exemplified in this AU, especially among the presence of his fans. As for relationships, he mainly interacts with his teammates: Wave and Storm. While he's more friendly to them than anyone else, he doesn't like Wave's lecturing and Storm being incompetent. He has an intense rivalry with Jet, but there's more to their relationship than that. One part of his charisma is that he's a bit flirtatious, but he does it to Jet the most. He doesn't like Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. His relationships with the other characters are the same as in the canon. I'm proud of this one! And my background isn't the shittiest thing ever!

I was in a virtual animation camp for a week last summer. I was severely underqualified (terrible and inexperienced artist), but I went through it and was up to the challenge. We did these sort of exercises where we combine three different things into one thing of artwork. I did them on my sketchbook because I hardly knew the ropes of digital art.

In the first one, I had to combine I think a vulture, a shoe tree, and a bush. I made a cranky vulture guy who hoards shoes. I made a shoe den because I can't draw trees, and the bush part is the vulture's cloak that vaguely looks like a bush.

In the second one, I had to combine a (baby?) dragon, a turtle I think, and the profession of law? I don't remember them as well. I drew a precocious baby dragon with a turtle shell. The little bugger is also a lawyer and wants my case files. This is also the first time I drew my fursona.

In the third and final one, I had to combine a peacock, a fly, and silverware, so I made Shanti: a bubbly silverware-hoarding peacock with massive fly eyes. She is a little weird, but she means well and is a good friend. Just remember that if you invite her to dinner, give her and your guests plastic utensils and watch your drawers.

Ok so what if Jet was the the fastest thing alive and in turn, the protagonist of the Sonic series. Because of his and Sonic's similarities, they are honestly great to swap. Jet obviously has super speed and has basically mastered it. He is also extremely agile, acrobatic, quite strong, great with Extreme Gear, and can harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds to transform into Super Jet. Personality-wise, this Jet is very similar to Jet in the canon. He is extremely competitive and confident in what he does. He is also a very fair player and hates cheating and cheaters. Unlike Sonic in the canon, he's also a bit shy, isn't very charismatic, and sometimes has trouble with social cues. He also isn't very patient, especially with little kids like Cream and Charmy. He is also much more resistant towards Amy's affections and therefore doesn't really like her. However, as the hero, his haughtiness is toned down a bit and he's always willing to lend a helping hand. As for relationships, he's best friends with Tails, close friends with Knuckles, Blaze, and Shade, his arch-enemy is Dr. Eggman, and his arch-rival is Alzayla the Cat-Hawk (version of Shadow). With Sonic however, there is an intense rivalry, particularly in speed, but for some creative liberty, there's something else too... He isn't fond of Amy because of her advances towards him. His relationships with every other character in the series (including Fizaman the Hawk, this AU's version of Silver) are the same.

Ok so this is basically the full version of my profile picture: my internet self, PhoenixAura81 (how I call myself everywhere online). You can call it Phoenix for short. It's my fursona basically. It's an amateurish production of my ideal self but as an anthro character. For its species, it's a lupix, which is a wolf/phoenix hybrid. When I get better at drawing, I might make a reference/"meet the artist" with this. Expect more art of it later. Also, I'm not a furry.
