Stay Strong

Starry Flame, voice actress for Sunbeam in Tales of a Junk Town Pony Peddler, suffered a great loss recently. Her mother passed away of cancer, and while there are no words that can heal such a loss and only with time can one truly recuperate, we can offer our words. We are so sorry for your loss, and we know that it hurts, perhaps worse than anything you have ever known, but we know, with certainty, that you are strong, you are kind, and you are loved. Grief is a hard thing, it can feel like a great weight upon your back, but also know that it is okay, it is alright to grieve, natural and without blame. Let yourself feel for now, and know that we will be there for you in the coming days weeks, and months, as long as you need, while you work through it.

Our thoughts and hearts are with you in these hard times,

Time To Announce the Winner of the Tales of a Junk Town Pony Peddler; Rainfall Design Contest! 

We got many lovely entries, and we loved each one, and now it’s time to announce the winners! Everyone came up with really lovely ideas for the design, and oddly everyone made him blue, which was always the writer’s personal idea for him, but never mentioned anywhere, which is funny, but great! Anyway, let’s take a look. 

3rd Place

Peacekeeper Angel 

An interesting interpretation of the character, love the pony tail and the boots and the little notes are lovely! Not to mention the thought of Rainfall crying is hilarious

2nd Place

Emily Rose

Okay, to start off, this armor design is bad ass. I mean Geeze, I would not want to run into this thing in a dark alley, not to mention the cutie mark concept is pretty awesome to boot. This was a hard choice, between this and the first placer, it was so close. This is an awesome design.

1st Place

Jello-O-Cat

Okay, Jello Cat went all out for this contest, she submitted a whole page of designs, along with alternate outfits and cutiemarks and the whole page oozes style. Seriously if Jell-o-cat is reading this, she has an invitation to join Ponyinabox any day of the week. Though we can only pick one of these designs it was really hard since she captured Rainfall pretty darn well in all of them. Still we can’t help but go with Design three, because it just awesome. Not to mention the extra concept page really sold it.

So congratulations to Jell-o-Cat! Her design is now the canon look for Rainfall, he will have the first cutiemark and armor designs and will appear in all future posters and PIAB art for the character. Everyone did such awesomely lovely jobs on their entries, and I’d just like to take the time to thank each and every one of them, while only one could win if I could pick them all I would. 

Thanks a ton guys! This was fun, catch you in the wasteland next time.
