i'm currently torn on whether i should go back to writing... i love writing sweet things and it makes me so immensely happy but at the same time it really is a chore huh. is it egoistic to say i don't want to put many hours of my free time only for a few people to see it, even less to give back any sort of feeback

i know it's probably a combination of factors. non native speaker with weird writing. ugly layout. long waiting times. up to some point i can understand but it's soooo frustrating. i want to say i'm writing for myself but let's be real if i was truly writing for myself only the character list would be shorter. for sure. i'd experiment a lot more. i'd rant endlessly about all the oc stuff that's stuck in my brain. all those cute scenarios i can't talk about online because they're not enjoyable for the average reader. i'd even write for some ships, i think. maybe. have i ever mentioned the grip izuleo has on my brain and how they always manage to pull me out of every slump

aaaaa. maybe i'm just outdated and can't keep up with what newer users want and that's okay. maybe i should do things for myself, even if it's lonelier. it can't get any lonelier than it's now, right?

do you ever read something about a fav character of yours that attacks you in. a personal way. of course everyone is free to think as they wish bc there aren't two people that see a character the same but then. it just. stings a bit. like i know what i've read i know how they act but,,, please don't remind me of that?

if we can brush under the rug happyele's awful treatment of arashi at first and many aspects of the writing that aren't there yet can we just. accept that sometimes characters are a product of their creators. japanese society and their standards on certain topics like beauty blablabla but,, us fanon writers can fix that. should fix that, sometimes. characters are allowed to learn and improve on the right hands.

and if we dive even more into the writing... sometimes a character having an obsession with something or calling off a certain behaviour relates to their own personal insecurities and that should be explored some more.
