Greetings, Denka’s Army!

September marks the passing of summer and our Highness Prince Arslan’s birthday! Said to be on September 21st, we start our celebrations on this day and party on for the whole week. In a time of turmoil, we would like this event to be themed around “encounters”.

For this event we wanted to keep it as open as possible as the new academic year has just started and participants may not find the time to commit to a certain prompt. However, as a little help, here are some prompts that would fit well into our “encounters” theme:

isnt arslans birthday the 29th? i remember there was some confusion on the date last year

Hi there!

Yes, there is plenty of confusion, I think even Tanaka-sensei wasn’t really keeping track, it’s either September 21st (novel vol. 13) or 29th (novel vol. 8).

With Inktober just around the corner, the earlier date would be fair to artists wanting to participate in that, so we hope this is acceptable.

(Incidentally, researching this made me find a Japanese 2015 Twitter event with loads of Arslan birthday fanart. But of course you don’t have to centre your work for #arslansenkifandomday2017 on his Highness, all characters are welcome!)

((Hello! I know this blog has been dead-ish lately. I work at a college, and the fall semester is about to start; so, things have been much busier than usual! On top of that, I am part of the team that is setting up @arslansenkifandomweek, and as that’s a “once a year” thing it is taking precedence over this blog, for now!

I will respond to asks as they come in, but won’t be as good about engaging with others via reblogs until the first week or perhaps two of school is over.
