Jax x Sleepy! Reader

You were dozing off, Jax’s words nothing more that a distant buzz. This couch was so comfy… Your eyelids drooped and you leaned in- “Are you even listening to a word I’m saying?” You jolt, sitting upright once more, “Huh?”

“Of course not,” Jax rolls his eyes, “why would you? It’s not like we were having a conversation or anything.” You rub your eyes, yawning a bit, “Sorry… What were you saying?”

He snorts and starts again, something about the food being the same old same old. His voice was so soothing, you couldnt help but close your eyes… Youre slipping into rest once more, sighing happily.

“Are you kidding?!” Jax lightly smacks you, and your eyes only open slightly, “S’rry… keep goin… like your voice…” you mumbled. Jax’s face flushed pink, caught entirely off guard.

He sighed, reaching out and tugging you into his lap. You were surprised, but his lap made for a nice pillow. You hummed, smiling a bit as you scooted into a comfortable position.

Jax began to talk again, this time not really talking about anything in particular. Just gossip or useless fun facts that came to mind, all the while twirling your hair in his fingers.

Once he was sure you’d drifted off to sleep for real, this time, he mumbled under his breath, “You’re really adorable, you know? I like you a lot…”

Her eyes locked on your hands, her smile widening. Jax quickly dropped your hand, standing back up to full height. He didn’t look at you, his attention now entirely fixated on Ragatha. Although you could have sworn, he looked anxious. You hoped you didn’t upset him…

Soon, Ragatha catches up to you guys,

"What are you guys doing?" Said the doll

"Not much, just finished riding the tea cup's" you said, looking down

"Well, that's nice wanna come get some snacks with me and gangle," said ragatha

" Sure!"

"Are you coming, Jax?" You said joining the girls

" Nah, you guys go. im fine " said jax

" Aww, come on, Jax, let's go," you said, giving him a pleading face

" ~Aww~ I bet u really want me to go with u guys, but I just remembered that I gotta go met with kinger about something," said Jax, looking at u with a smirk

" I -um ok," u said with a startled and blushing face.

" Welp, let go get some cotton candy," said gangle

"Sure, what do u think y/n" said ragatha

"Um - yeah, sure, let's go," U said, just seeing Jax walk away into the circus tent

While they are eating gangle speaks up.

"So y/n why were you holding Jax's hand?" She says, looking timidly at u

"Well, I - um I was - " you said just blabbering incoherent words while becoming a blushing mess

"ANYWAY, let's talk about something else. Um- what should we do after this?" said Ragatha, just trying to deascalate the interaction

"Well, if it okay with u guys, I want to go in the carousel," says gangle, finishing her cotton candy

"So, do you like them or not?" Says Kinger just waiting for an answer

"Why do you care?" says Jax, looking at Kinger in a bit of an annoyed tone

"Just because you have been taking about y/n since you got here,"says kinger just looking at Jax. For a response

"Well- Um, I- guess I-" says Jax trying to find his answer

" Yes or No Jax," says kinger, sounding desperate for an answer

" Short answer, yes?" Says Jax looking for any type of emotion in Kingers face

" YOU LIKE Y/N"
