Just a thought.

They often played "guess who I am" when they are kids.since they are twins and have the same voice,this game is meaningless.But they still play it over and over again. ...

years later.Stan received the postcard and went to the shack.They meet. They talk. They fight.This time, Ford didn’t fall into portal, he got possessed by Bill( maybe the twins stay together for days, then something happened and Ford got possessed? whatever ).Stan try to escape the shack witch the only thing his brother left for him--the journal. hoping that he will find a way in that book to bring his brother back.

But before he can make his escape, Bill found him, and decided to greet him with that  "guess who I am" game.(Bill possessed Ford, he can read Ford’s memory,so he know this game.)

<The Fisherman and the Merman>

Once upon a time, there was a poor fisherman named Ford. He hadn’t caught any fish in days, so he prayed to the Lord of Deep Ocean. ‘Filled my net and I will serve you forever.’

Then he pulled out his net, and found out it was full of fish and …Merman?

The fisherman has a kind heart, and he felt sorry about it. So he said:

‘Umm…Relax, I will release…’

‘NO REFUNDS.’ Said the merman (with a strange red bucket on his head)

‘W… what?! ’

That is how Stan the Merman moves into Ford’s house, sits on Ford’s couch, and bathes in Ford’s cash money.

They live a happy life forever. (I supposed?)
