"Jobbuski has done lot since I met them. Smash work, competition, grew hand, more job, I do not know. But, is nice when our job meet. We do not talk much, but company is appreciate. I like quiet with Jobbuski."
Tumblr media
"...staff think Jobbuski and Ankh-san are romance. I will help, even if I do not understand. But, they are best friend at least. That I admire. Sometime I wish I was best friend too, but there cannot be. I hope I am good friend."

People tend to speak their minds openly when the subjected person is absent– or seemingly so! Have your muse overhear what they weren’t meant to hear about them!

Here are homemade fruit gummies. They aren’t sugary sweet!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There they are… and there they went, with Bitz scrambling up and shoveling handfuls of ‘fuit gummies’ into his mouth at once. Any sweets that fell to the ground accidentally were snatched up again just as quickly. You’d think Guest A never fed this dino, with how he’s acting right now. And when he’s all done, he lightly dabs at his mouth with the napkin, before lashing his tongue around it and swallowing that, too.
Bitz is silent for a moment, surely content —
Tumblr media
     ‘ mmmmore gummy. ’
     Never mind.
The peach boy looks at the little dinosaur, and nods. He brings out...
Tumblr media
The big gummy bears.
Made with just home squeezed orange juice, gelatin, and sugar, these teddy bear sized gummies were made because the boy worked with big eaters.
...and that he was curious about the larger molds found in cabinets. Those were probably meant for cakes but any mold can be a gummy mold...or a chocolate mold.
So to know that the gummies were going to be eaten was a good thing. Though the Waddle Dees were also happy to get some of those large treats too.

“…am important?” Were they? Were they important enough that they could use ‘I’ instead of a name? The goal was to try to go with their real name, as their nametag finally says. They really couldn’t just go back to using ‘UFO’ in their form of speech, can they? However, ‘Jobski this’ and ‘Jobski that’ somehow doesn’t have the same ring to it, either…
               “…Jobski… can use ‘I’?”
Tumblr media
The boy nods, “Ung. Jobbuski-san can use ‘I’. Jobbuski-san important no matter what.”
Work would be harder without the little UFO flying around. It was nice to run into them no matter the jobs they found. But that’s all the peach boy could vouch for. The others would have a lot more to say about how dear Jobski was to them.
“Ahem...you are friend...good friend. I, I want to be friend, like alway.”
After all, the two were rather terse with their language.

“Um, ‘I’ is easier to use, Jobbuski-san. You can say…'I like working’.”

              “…. ‘I’ ?” Aye. “B-but ‘I’ is not only for…. ‘important introductions?’ U… Jobski n-not important enough. Jobski… do not think so…?”
Tumblr media
“Jobbuski-san very important. Important to Ankh-san, Qbby-san, and everyone, and me. Good friend, best friend. But, ’I’ is for everyone, not just important.”

Conversation
Japanese honorifics
-San: is the most common honorific and is equivalent to Mr., Miss, Ms. or Mrs. It is the all-purpose honorific and can be used in any situation were politeness is required
-Sama: is one level higher than "-san" and is used to confer great respect
-Dono: this one comes from the word "tono" which means "lord". It is an even higher level than "-sama" and confers utmost respect
-Kun: suffix used at the end of boys' names to express familiarity or endearment. It is also sometimes used by men among friends, or when addressing someone younger or of a lower station
-Chan: is used to express endearment, mostly towards girls. It is also used for little boys, pets, and even among lovers. It gives a sense of childish cuteness
Bozu: informal way to refer to a boy similar to the English terms of "kid" or "squirt"
Senpai/ Sempai: title which suggests that the addressee is one's senior in a group or organization. It is most often used in a school setting, where underclassmen refers to their upperclassmen as "sempai". It can also be used in the workplace, such as when a newer employee addresses an employee who has seniority in the company
Kohai: is the opposite of "sempai" and is used towards underclassmen in school or newcomers in the workplace. It connotes that the addressee is of a lower station
Sensei: literally meaning "one who has come before", this title is used for teachers, doctors, or masters of any profession or art
-[Blank]: is usually forgotten in these lists, but it is perhaps the most significant difference between Japanese and English. The lack of honorific means that the speaker has permission to address the person in a very intimate way. Usually only family, spouses, or very close friends have this kind of permission. Known as yobisute, it can be gratifying when someone who has earned the intimacy starts to call one by one's name without the honorific. But when that intimacy hasn't been earned, it can be very insulting.

“…where are you getting this pink coffee?”
Tumblr media
{ café mii, next to the wireframe fountain. i can’t imagine you’ve managed to miss it. } _
Ridiculous name. ‘Café Mii.’ Guest E couldn’t be bothered to come up with something more creative, could she?
Then again, the Guest of Customer Service always was the underachiever of the group, wasn’t she? An uninspired name, from an uninspired Guest. Fitting, she supposed.
Tumblr media
“I know where that is and what it is. Guest E-dono runs it and staff at Smash.”
Momotaro was used to being belittled due to working in customer service for...some time. Yet his voice was still stilted like the (boss) Mii he occasionally works under. She has been very relatable.
“The pink cofee is what I did not know. Must be very specific order. Not on menu.”

What Momotaro has been up to in the Smash verse, besides the usual duties of cooking and cleaning:
Tumblr media
Occasionally dealing with a pair of toddlers that was not part of his job description. Then again, neither was cleaning...but at least cleaning is a habit after cooking.
Kids are different, especially if they believe he’s a ninja.
