Brows furrowed, the brunette had a look of determination plastered over her features while nimble fingers worked at the trap. The jaws of the trap pricked at her fingertips, causing blood to ooze out from the punctures.. but she didn't care. The pain was secondary to the pained whimpers the pokemon let out.
"Ahh, no.. it seems kind of afraid as it is.. and Pidgeot would probably scare the poor thing.. I'll do it.. myself."
With a terrifying snap, the trapped opened, only to snap shut again in a matter of seconds. Good thing daisy had managed to retrieve both her fingers and the pokemon out in time, or else that would have been a terrible mess. She fell backward slightly with the motion, a young Aipom cradled in her arms. Of course, both the human and pokemon heaved with the recent scare, Daisy finally propping herself up with her elbows, the blood from the aimpom's caught ankle staining her blouse slightly.
"Look at that, Bill.." she murmured sadly, patting the terrified pokemon soothingly. "He's terrified, the poor thing.."
Daisy & Bill
After a while, Bill returned his gaze to the bushes. He tried his best to identify the Pokemon, but he still couldn’t see it very well. Why didn’t it already come over to Daisy? Was he scaring it or something? He was literally about as intimidating as a Clefairy, to be honest, so he didn’t think that was it. It couldn’t have been scared of Daisy, either, because she was probably the friendliest person he’d ever met.
“What? A trap?” Well, that would do it. “Um- Are you really going to try to- uh-?”
He just watched as Daisy reached into the bushes and tried to free the Pokemon from the trap. It looked like it hurt, though, and he could see the scratches all over her arms already. Bill decided he’d help clean those up when she was done. Still, it bothered him to just sit there and watch as she did all the work and got hurt because of it. He finally decided to say something about it.
“Uh, do you have any Pokemon that could help you out? That looks like it hurts…”

"I won't bite.." Daisy laughed, hands still outstretched toward the Pokemon. A rustling came from behind her, followed by a dull thud.. she wondered what it could be, but trusted her companion to warn her if it was a Pokemon. Of course, since no warning came, she assumed it safe.
"Bill?" she called, eyes still fixated on the creature that cowered from her grasp. It was strange... she thought to herself. Pokemon usually came to her, no matter how terrified they felt, but this one seemed stuck or something. "A trap?" she gasped, catching her own stunned reflection from the hint of silvery metal that seemed to have a vice grip around the poor Pokemon's foot. "Bill!" she called once again, unwilling to even turn away from the helpless creature. "There's a trap here.. ah! For Mew's sake.. hunters are so cruel!"
She balled her fists angrily while she worked on disassembling the trap. It was hard to reach, to say the least.. and certainly a mean feat for her to maneuver under the bushes. Her sleeves inadvertently caught onto some of the intertwined branches, scratching at the exposed skin. Daisy didn't care, of course.. the injured pokemon was more pressing than the few wounds she had suffered.
Daisy & Bill
Bill couldn’t help but stare when he saw Daisy’s nervous reaction. Was she… blushing…? It wasn’t hot outside, yet she was fanning her face… He didn’t even know what to think. To him, Daisy seemed like a very calm person, so it was especially odd to see her like that. Did she stutter, too? Or was it his imagination? He tried to ignore everything, but it kept bugging him. Clearly, she was a relaxed person most of the time, so she was obviously acting like this because of him. But what did he do that caused this? Did Daisy… did she have… a…
He didn’t want to think about it anymore. He instantly felt his face get red, too. Maybe it was the heat? Yeah, probably… right? That made a lot more sense. He went with that.
Deciding to move on, he tried to focus on something else. The first thing his eyes wandered to was Daisy’s hair, and he almost became entranced with the way it moved. It was definitely taken care of, and healthy. In fact, it looked unusually soft. It almost made him want to reach over and feel it…
But distracted by the hair, he stumbled over and nearly fell to the ground. Fortunately, he managed to regain his balance before that happened. Also, since Daisy had just crouched down to talk to a Pokemon, he was pretty sure that she hadn’t really noticed. He bent down next to the woman to see which Pokemon she was looking at. Because it was hidden, he couldn’t quite tell, so he just looked over at Daisy again. Arceus, that hair was distracting.

Daisy too, felt that Bill was watching her from the corner of his eyes, though she shyly turned away at whatever eye contact they shared. She felt her cheeks warm up at the thought of conversation, and though she hoped he would say something.. Daisy didn't keep her hopes up. Well, until he started to smile at her in a rather dorky, but enderaring fashion. An eager smile flashed upon her features while her eyes opened in anticipation at his words.
"Yes it is isn't it?' she agreed, falling into step alongside the brunet. At least we have each other.. More than ever, Daisy felt the heat flush to her face, quickly turning away and raising a hand to fan at her face. Would it be obvious that she had found his company – regardless of his awkward quirks, adorable? She's rarely felt like this before, and as her brother would tease her about it.. that she was having a crush on this man. "I g-guess so.." a shy giggle escaped her, the brunette turning back abruptly, meeting the warm eyes that shone beneath the canopy of leaves. My, he was really charming in his own nerdy way, wasn't it?
"Oh.." a soft sigh escaped her while she looked away once again, kneeling down to greet a shy pokemon that rustled from behind the bushes. "Hello there, and who might you be?" the brunette called, a hand reaching out to the bush to show friendliness toward the wild creature that cowered behind the foliage.
Daisy & Bill
Not knowing what to say, or do, Bill just remained silent as they walked. It wasn’t a bad silence, though- it was actually surprisingly calming to just take in the scenery. And he had to admit, he felt a lot more comfortable with her Pidgeot out of sight. It was kind of embarrassing how afraid he was. But he knew that Daisy wasn’t a person who would judge him for it.
Even the Pokemon in the area seemed happy. The Rattata were actually fairly relaxed, which was rare, and the small bird Pokemon sang pleasant melodies. That moment was really nice.
But it got a little uncomfortable after a while. He noticed that Daisy was glancing at him. Was she bored? Well, she probably was, right? She wanted to talk, clearly. Did she expect him to start talking? Or, maybe she wanted to start the conversation? Wait, what if she was just observing him or something? He was the person who just told a crazy story. Did she think he was insane? His mind was filled with questions. He could feel his hands sweating. He was supposed to say something!
Turning to face the woman, he had a dorky smile on his face. His mouth was open, but words weren’t coming out. He didn’t know what he expected, because he didn’t even know what he was going to say to her. It took a moment for him to even make a sound. “Uh… even though we’re lost and everything, this is actually… pretty nice, isn’t it? I mean, at least we have each other…” Suddenly, he realized that that wasn’t the best way to word it. “Um… you know? It wouldn’t be as fun if we were alone.” Nice going, Bill.

Daisy held her belongings, hazel eyes redirected to spot the man still sprawled across the ground awkwardly, staring into the sky where Pidgeot was. Her own eyes followed the shadow that was fast becoming a mere speck against the bue sky, a hand raised to shield the sun's rays from getting into her eyes. Bill did look terrified of the bird pokemon, almost flinching like a Rattata under the large wings. She felt almost guilty, watching the man afraid of her own Pokemon.
"Yes, it is, isn't it." she hummed in attempt to lighten the situation. Falling into step beside him, the brunette kept her gaze to the ground, the pair lapsing into a comfortable silence while wild Pokemon frolicked at their feet. It seemed like he wasn't the only one afraid of Pidgeot; the smaller wild Pokemon in the clearing seemed less pressured with the bird's absence, though each signaling caw from the falcon would send them scurrying back into their hiding spots. She glanced over at him, stealing glimpses of the man's face.. Daisy wanted to make conversation, but for lack of a good topic decided to remain mum instead.
Daisy & Bill
“Oh. Well, that’s too bad. Crazy experiences can turn into the best conversations, ya know?” He heard her Pidgeot and looked up at the sky before talking again. “But who knows, a bizarre event might be just around the corner, huh?”
Bill simply watched as the bird Pokemon landed right next to him. It took every ounce of his will to keep himself from flinching. Of course, he assumed that he looked like an idiot, sitting so awkwardly and everything, but at least he didn’t fall over or something. Right?
When he saw Daisy getting her stuff together, he just blinked. He was too busy trying not to react to the huge Pokemon to realize that they were going to have to walk. Oh, right! You’re stuck in a forest, idiot! he thought. He got up, eying the Pidgeot cautiously. It let out a noise like a laugh. That nearly made him flinch, but he was prepared for it.
“Okay. Good to know that we’re almost outta here, huh?” His voice was so calm, he surprised himself.

"Well, not exactly.." she laughed, setting the tea in her lap while she searched to think if anything funny had ever happened to her.. "I've always been a sheltered child, so I suppose nothing terribly interesting has ever happened to me. Well, except that I once tried to put a Pokemon egg into Chansey's pouch but that's about all!" A gentle giggle bubbled up as the brunette recounted the tale, while Pidgeot cawed overhead.
Landing between the pair, Pidgeot motioned to the trainers to get up and follow it out of the forest. "Doesn't look too short a walk, huh." she commented, patting the falcon affectionately for its effort. Yes, I know we can fly, Pidgeot. Daisy whispered, picking up her few belongings. But it's not nice, he seems afraid of you. She added softly, glancing backward at the man. To that, the bird simply let out a caw-like laughter, powerful wings kicking up debris as it rose to the canopy once again.
"Shall we, Bill? Pidgeot has discovered a way out of this maze..!"
Daisy & Bill
Bill didn’t even notice the way she looked when he made eye contact because he was so busy telling the story. But he did catch her little smile when he told her that he had been combined with a Clefairy, and he couldn’t help but smile too.
“It was definitely an interesting experience, but I was so weirded out that I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I could’ve. And trust me, it was not the most unfortunate thing that’s ever happened to me, or even the weirdest. Odd things seem to happen to me all the time.”
Just as he was starting to get more comfortable, she looked at him again, and he got a little flustered. For some reason, he just felt really nervous when he looked at her face. And after he felt nervous, he tried to figure out why… Before he knew it, he was lost in thought. Did she remind him of someone? Was it just that he didn’t know her very well? Suddenly, he realized that she wanted him to continue the story.
“Oh! Right! The story… Well, I just kind of sat there in the cottage for a while, because I didn’t know what to do. Luckily, a trainer stopped by, though, and he helped me get back to normal, so I wasn’t stuck like that for too long. But I still think that there’s a tiny part of that Clefairy inside me to this day… I swear I can still hear a few of its thoughts sometimes.” Since he was done with the story, he decided to stop and have a sip of his tea. “So, uh… Anything weird ever happen to you?”

Daisy watched as the man began his story in a fluster, seeming to be phrasing his words in his mind before they left his mouth. She quite enjoyed watching him think, almost as if the cogs in his brain were working together really ahrd just to piece his unfortunate tale together. She took a sip of her tea, allowing the light taste of the beverage to settle on her tongue while her companion started on his tale. She blushed slightly at the eye contact, nearly missing the part about the Clefairy and looked away shyly. Was it weid that she liked his eyes? They were a nice warm shade of brown that she rather enjoyed.
Tumblr media
"What?" she piqued, setting her tea cup down abruptly. As Professor Oak's granddaughter, she did hear her fair share of pokemon-research based mishaps, but a body switch was the first. A smile tugged at the side of her lips amusedly, the brunette retrieving her tea from the grass once again. "How unfortunate! How did you get out of the situation then..? Must be.., well.. interesting to be a Clefairy for a while isn't it?" Daisy asked, redirecting her gaze to Bill once again. "Please, do continue."
Daisy & Bill
He took a deep breath as he thought of a way to start the story. That was always the hardest part. Different people liked to hear it in different ways, right? Well, it was hard to tell just how Daisy would prefer to hear it. Was he over-thinking it? No, no, he couldn’t have been- he just wanted to be as nice and polite to her as she was to him. She had made tea for him, and listened to his rambling, even though he was a complete stranger. Yet all he had to offer was a story…
“Hm… Well, uh… It all happened at my Sea Cottage, near Cerulean City. That’s where I usually go to make machines and stuff, although I actually live in Goldenrod City, in Johto.” The brunette nervously looked from his teacup to Daisy, in an attempt to make eye contact but still enjoy his tea. “But, anyway, I had just finished building this transporter thing, so I was ready to test it out. I was a bit too impatient to try it out, so I didn’t even think about the situation. The first thing I did wrong was decide to test it on myself. And it was pretty dumb to leave my Clefairy out to play, too. And finally, I somehow left the other door of it wide open.”
He turned his head to once again look at the woman’s face. She looked so sincere and polite, and it was easy to tell that she was listening. Clearing his throat, he continued. “So, anyway, I walked into the machine, and I knew it would probably work. But I didn’t know that my Clefairy just happened to walk into the other door at the same time, accidentally shutting it. So the machine started up, with me in one door, and the Clefairy in the other. When I walked out the other door, I thought it had worked perfectly. But… well… it didn’t exactly go as planned. Turns out, I was in the Clefairy’s body.” Bill decided to stop there for a minute and sip his tea. He wanted to see Daisy’s reaction.

Daisy wiped at the tears feebly, her brain quickly numbing out at the motion. She was never one to cry often, much less to let anyone see her tears. As much as she had feelings and emotions, she kept them in for the sake of her family – for grandpa, for Green, and to a larger, selfish extent herself. If they scars didn't show up on her surface, they didn't have to be seen. She was much too proud, Daisy.. much to proud to admit she was weak. Much too proud to admit the cause of her bubbly, helpful nature was a mere facade to pacify her own incompetence. She wasn't healthy enough to go on her own adventure, and she was afraid too. Fear ruled her, mainly.. albeit Reality was fast becoming a nightmare as well.
She nearly flinched at the awkward contact that the boy offered, alongside the apology that was murmured. As much as she said it wasn't anyone's fault, it was always easier to put the blame on someone, to know that somebody out there is the cause of your misery and not yourself. Taking comfort in that, a hand raised to pat the other's forearm gently, as if to show that she was alright. A gentle "thank you" left her lips in a barely audible sigh as she gathered her bags and stood up.
Red || Daisy
Red’s crimson eyes flit over to the brunette as a small sigh had escaped her lips together with her words, and his gaze averts to the grassy fields for a moment, not being able to see eye to eye with her as of now. “…No one’s fault…” he repeats quietly under his breath, as if contemplating those words. If it were no one’s fault… if he didn’t put the blame on anybody, how would the two of them have ended up? Would they’ve still remained as rivals, or grow back together over the years.. if no one were to be blamed? He hadn’t thought about that… and now that he did, it sounded like such a nice option. To not blame others, yet not to be blamed by others as well…
Too bad that it was already too late.
Tumblr media
“…Daisy…” he starts quietly, his brow furrowed slightly at the sight of tears beginning to trail down her cheek, causing his heart to ache for her. He couldn’t understand why she was crying in the first place, but intuition told him that he was to be blamed. The raven could sense that he was the cause of those tears of hers, but he had no idea whether to comfort her, or simply let her cry. His initial thought had been to maybe, try and offer her some words of comfort, but being the cause of those tears, wouldn’t it just cause her to feel even worse? Pursing his lips, his hands gripped into fists tightly, and he lets out a sharp breath. “…I’m… sorry.” Was that enough? A simple apology?
Whatever the reason to her tears was, he was sure that an apology wasn’t going to suffice. Sighing under his breath, he awkwardly reaches over and gives her a small hug, not too tight as it would seem to friendly, yet not too weak as it would seem like he wasn’t even trying. “…Uh. I’m… sorry. For what—” Should he pretend to know what it was that he did wrong, and just be blunt? “—ever it was I did…”

Daisy poured the tea into the china, listening as attentively as she could while the man continued to ramble on. It was cute, to say the least – to have someone stutter while trying to hold an awkward conversation. "Mm" she slips in occasionally, head nodding to show her listening.
"Ahh Ninetales, be kind to him." she laughed, raising her head to see the large fox nuzzling the man affectionately. "She's quite a cuddler.." the brunette added lightly, hazel eyes dancing at the sight of her Pokemon warming up to the stranger quickly. Often, she trusted her Pokemon's judgement over her own.. it always seemed like they were a better judgement of character than her anyway. Green used to say she was too naive and trusting.
"I would love to." Handing him a cup of the fragrant tea, she adjusted her skirt a little before settling down next to him in a respectful distance. "Personal space", a reminder echoed in her mind as she picked a spot, tilting her head to study Bill's face again. "Alright, I'm ready."
Daisy & Bill
He sat down next to Daisy, happy to have some time to relax and have some tea. But he had to wonder how much she loved tea, because he saw no particular reason to carry around a tea set in a forest like that.
…So, she had a Ninetales? He liked them, as they weren’t too intimidating most of the time, but they were still powerful. He himself had a Vulpix, but he hadn’t taken it with him, unfortunately.
“Uh, Pokemon love me for the most part. Ya know, the Pokemon who aren’t super-powerful and intimidating do. The little ones. But I’m a target for big Pokemon. It’s… just my luck, I guess. I usually just try to avoid any dangerous Pokemon. But it isn’t always easy, especially with all the situations I find myself in. Lemme tell ya, I’ve had some unique experiences before… Whether I was lucky, or unlucky, I can’t really say.”
He was surprised when a Ninetales came up to him, but he just chuckled and stroked its head. It was really pretty, and he could tell that Daisy was taking good care of it. Then, he realized that he had a story to tell.
“Oh, uh, well anyway… The first story involves me, a machine that transports things, a Clefairy, and some exact timing. The result was odd, to say the least. If ya really wanna hear the story, then I guess I’ll tell it.”

Daisy watched the man as he flustered, laughing to herself at his little actions. A little disappointment rose when he spoke of tea being a fancy thing; the inner tea enthusiast in her feeling the insatiable need of converting him into a tea lover bubbling from within. It was almost like an addiction, a quiet craving that kept her going day-by-day. If anyone could take on the title of No 1 Tea Lover (as her mug at home says), it would be this brunette.
"I don't think anything will.. though just to be sure, Ninetales would be a good bet for to take on whatever's in the wild grass.." she murmured, settling down at the foot of a tree. "I do hope Pokemon love you, because I wouldn't stand for anything less, Bill." Looking up at the man, she pat the empty area next to her and fished out a flask of tea.
"I'd be happy to hear if you're willing to share." she smiled, hands delving into her bag once again for some small teacups. "Tea enthusiast.." Daisy added quickly, placing the miniature china on the grass and pouring some of the flask's content into the cups while the fox pokemon let itself out of its pokeball quietly, sneaking up on the man and nudging it curiously.
"ni...netales?"
Daisy & Bill
“Good idea telling your Pidgeot to scout around.” He had to give people credit for not being the idiot he was when they got lost. It seemed like when it came to wild Pokemon, it was survival of the fittest, so he was really thankful he was a human, because he certainly wasn’t the ‘fittest’ at all. Daisy? Well, she probably wasn’t either, but anyone was more ‘fit’ than him.
As he went forward, it felt like they were walking in circles. The grass never changed, the trees stayed the same… even their faces seemed to be frozen in the same position for good, until Daisy finally broke the awkward moment.
“Tea? Uh… I dunno. It’s kind of a fancy thing usually, isn’t it?” He never really liked to be associated with sophisticated people in any way.”But I guess I’m kinda neutral about it. I definitely wouldn’t mind having something to drink right now… I hope we get out of this place soon. And I really hope no Pokemon attack us. I’m bad with big Pokemon, but the little ones love me.” He smiled to her and laughed.
“But, uh, are you sure ya wanna hear more about me? I’ve been through two… well, more than two freak accidents, and they’re pretty long stories. But I guess we don’t have much else to talk about, do we?” The brunette next to him didn’t seem too judgmental, so he didn’t mind talking about the incidents as much.

Not her fault? Perhaps it wasn't... perhaps it wasn't anyone's fault. Sometimes, she too, felt that Red stole her grandfather's attention from the pair of orphans.. being the prodigies that they were raised to be and taking away their birthright. It was the Oaks who were the ones to be, supposedly Green who would do the region proud and be Champion... not some quiet boy who rarely spoke, not some kid who couldn't even keep his Pokemon in a pokeball.. no. Green already had it tough, and to have his title and chance of impressing his grandfather taken away from someone he trusted..
"It was no one's fault." she parroted, almost in a sigh as her head fell, hazel locks falling over her face as she did so. They did have it tough, but it wasn't anyone's fault. No. It wasn't Red's fault they were orphans, and neither did that loss give them any leverage or earn them any pity. They were as good as anyone.. but perhaps Red was just a little better, a little less haughty.. a little little more talented.
"That's good to know, Red." Daisy smiled, looking up into the distant crimson eyes. She wondered if they mirrored her own emptiness.. something she had hidden in herself, putting on the role of being a grown-up since she was a child. There was no place for weakness, no place for tears.. and yet, the moistness from her eyes traced her cheeks in the most heartbreaking way.
That makes one of us who's well, then.
Red || Daisy
Placing a hand on his forehead, Red sighs under his breath, his thoughts honestly in a complete jumble right now. He didn’t want to have so many thoughts all at once, and honestly, he couldn’t stop thinking about Green. His childhood friend… they had left each other under bad terms and he couldn’t help but to feel… guilty that he never tried to fix their broken friendship. All he did was stay quiet and distant… not trying to ever get their friendship back up again. He never really did make the effort to try and reignite their friendship. Besides… he was the one that wanted to start his journey and everything first… it was probably his fault.
Yeah, sure. Green hadn’t done anything either. …Or had he? All those times when they battled… he always seemed to act like the bad guy.. maybe he was just trying to push him forward? Or make him not want to fulfill his dream? So that… they would still remain as friends..? No, Red… you’re over-thinking. It wasn’t like it was entirely his fault. But… if he hated Green so much… why did he worry about him so badly? A person of hate shouldn’t be in his thoughts so constantly… He sighs under his breath, lying down on the grass for a moment and letting his eyes to flutter close.
Tumblr media
“—Ah.” his eyes fly open as it bounds over to his side, looking at him with obvious worry as he sits up on the grass reluctantly. “…Thanks… Daisy.” Scratching the back of his head as the electric rodent climbs onto his shoulder, he stretches his arms a little and yawns quietly.
“…I’ve been… okay. I suppose.” he mumbles incoherently and looks up at her in surprise. Green would like to see him well? That was probably the most ridiculous sounding thing he had ever heard… yet logical as well. It fit what he was thinking exactly… “…There’s no need for you to apologize, Daisy. It’s not your fault.”

Daisy watched from the corner of her eyes, feeling the tension that the raven-haired male gave out. She was always a perceptive person, sensitive to the moods of both people and pokemon alike. Fingers massaged the yellow rodent skillfully for a few more minutes, allowing the boy to his own thoughts while her own drifted to her brother as well.
It has been some time since he had called, and honestly, she'd gotten worried too. It wasn't that Daisy didn't trust him to run the gym and to take care of himself, but rather that she knew how stubborn and proud he was. Even if he had run into trouble, or fallen ill (though he would eventually solve his own problems), he would never hesitate to hide his problems and tank them on his own. Perhaps the Oaks were all stubborn like that.. just like her grandfather was too.
"All done," she smiles, her thoughts broken as the Pikachu wiggled under her touch. She tickles it lightly with the tips of her fingers, releasing the Pokemon back to his trainer who offered a small smile in return.
"I do hope you have been well, Red. Green would.. like that, I suppose.. Despite of all he has done and blamed you for. /pause .... I apologize, Red."
Red || Daisy
Initially, Red was supposed to be the one to take over the gym, but in the end, he had achieved the status instead, hence passing down the position as Gym Leader to Green, the runner up of the Indigo League. He remembered that Green had been rather apprehensive in taking the position, but had taken it anyway. And then Red had disappeared off to Mount Silver without even informing him.. he did feel guilty now. Maybe he should’ve told him in the first place… shaking his head, he places a hand on his temples and sighs under his breath. No, it wasn’t his fault. Green had never came up to Mount Silver to find him, right? It’s Green’s fault, not his.
But then again… after a moment of thinking, he realizes that he should just accept what he had done wrong. He should’ve told them of his leaving to Mount Silver.. Green probably would’ve insisted he stayed and Red might’ve stayed back instead of going up the mountain. Then… they wouldn’t have drifted apart. They would still have the friendship they had, maybe, an even closer and stronger one than they had as children.
They could’ve still stayed as friends.
Tumblr media
Thinking about all of this in his mind, his lower lip had become to quiver ever so slightly and he looks up at the brunette, being reminded of how Green’s eyes shined when they played together when they were young. How it dripped with water after they had a swim together at the pool. How everything used to be so happy and- The electric rodent had given Daisy an elated smile and lets out a soft ‘Chu~’ under its breath as she massaged it, a sigh of content coming from it. Noticing that Daisy had given a small smile in return, the raven offers her a weak smile and glances back at the Pokemon.

"Yeah..." Daisy nodded, recalling the day Green had taken over the Viridian Gym. The last Gym to beat in kanto before the Elites.. surely that amounted up to something. A wave of sadness mixed with pride washed over the brunette, escaping her frame in a soft sigh.
An idiot indeed... no calls, no letters, nothing. Apparently not even bothering to check up on Red since their fallout.
Daisy received the Pokemon in her arms, running a free hand over its furry head. "Been a while," she smiles, shifting her hand to ruffle its belly fur before setting it down on the grass. She bends down, beginning the regimen by releasing tension from the Pikachu's cheeks, small sparks crackling from the red spots. Glancing up from the position, Daisy offered a smile to the boy. It has really been... some time.
Red || Daisy
Seeing that the bird Pokemon had relaxed significantly, a small smile graces the raven’s features for a moment. At least he knew that the Pidgeot was doing well, which reassured him that Green was well too. If Pidgeot could manage to fly all the way here and not seem exhausted, Green should’ve been raising his Pokemon well and in which, he would be capable to take care of himself. That was certainly one thing less to be worried about, and it lightened the weight that had constantly weighing on his shoulders.
“That’s certainly possible…” he mutters under his breath, realizing that the Professor was rather old already, and it was perfectly normal to be a bit more scatterbrained. And besides that, Green wasn’t there like he was normally was, and couldn’t help up with the small errands he needed to get done. It was evident that she hadn’t seen Green as well, since he could tell from the uncertainty and awkwardness she held in her hazel eyes when he had looked into them. A grim smile settled on his lips as he confirmed that the both of them had no idea of to where Green had disappeared off to. “…He’s probably busy with his… Gym duties.” he says softly, speaking out what was in both of their minds and sighs under his breath. “…That idiot…”

The electric rodent looks up at the brunette with blinking eyes, allowing her to pat it on the head and lets out an adorable cry of joy, putting its paws on its cheeks as it did. “Pi-ka!” Jumping into the brunette’s arms, it snuggles its cheeks against her belly and looks up at her expectantly with its yellow eyes.

Daisy nodded, her eyes picking up in interest at the mention of Pokemon Research. Thoughts instantly flitted over to her own beloved family who has dedicated their life to understanding the relationship of Trainer and Pokemon -- this was something that made her feel a little more comfortable. Bill would understand the satisfaction and passion in understanding.
"You are? And the Pokemon Storage System too?" she laughed, a bright smile replacing the polite one that was there momentarily ago. She receives the printed parchment, unfurling the edges and holding it between her fingers. How long ago was she the one handing out maps to aspiring trainers..
"Pidgeot, do you mind doing a scout overhead and telling me where we are?" The brunette whispers to the falcon, a gentle pat following the request. Leaf debris rose from the ground and settled quickly with the bird's departure, leaving the two researchers alone.

"So, tell me a little of yourself, Bill.. Do you appreciate tea?"
Daisy & Bill
“Hm? You are? Wow, that’s pretty cool.” He decided that, since she revealed that she was related to someone famous, he would tell her that he was somewhat famous himself. “It’s odd, to be treated differently just because of something like that, isn’t it? I’m… Well, I created the Pokemon Storage System, actually…”
When he saw her hand reach to his arm after he mentioned Green, he just blinked, not knowing what to do. He was kind of relieved when she drew it back, but it was still a bit awkward. “He wasn’t that rude. Uh, I’m kind of known as a Pokemon researcher and collector, too, so…” Although he usually mentioned stuff like that to people with ease, when he said it to her, he felt like he was bragging or being rude. He was glad he could change the subject. “I haven’t seen him recently, that was quite a while ago.”
Suddenly, he realized that they were both lost, and talking wasn’t going to help at all. “Oh, uh, I guess we should, you know… try to get out of this forest.” He glanced at the map and held it to her. “I’m not really good with maps or directions… are you? Because I’d say that if we worked together, we might have a better chance of getting out of here.”

"Ahh.. yes." she concluded shyly, averting the man;s gaze to tuck a strand of hair behind her ears. It was often that people met with that reaction upon the mention of her grandfather, whereby they would start treating her with fervor and respect out of the famous researcher. She didn't like it; not much, at least.. it always made her feel uncomfortable that they were being polite just because.
"You have? I do hope he wasn't rude to you.." she speaks up, a hand reaching out to his arm in apology. She retracted the outstretched hand gingerly, apologetic for the sudden reaction at the mention of her brother. "Green was a spitfire.." she laughs at the memory, quickly dying down to a contemplative sigh.

"Suppose he still is.. wherever he is." Pidgeot cawed at the mention of his missing master, the brunette placed a hand on the powerful neck to calm the riled Pokemon down.
".... Have you seen him? ... Green, I mean."
Daisy & Bill
Bill didn’t mind Daisy’s little laugh. In fact, it helped calm him down a little and remember that he was a person and had no reason to be so afraid of this Pokemon. He also knew that she wasn’t trying to be rude. Laughing with her for a minute, he watched as she picked up his map.
He wanted to thank her for giving him the map back, but he couldn’t say a word. Finally, after she introduced herself, he managed a sound and decided to speak up.
“Oak? Hm… as in… Professor Oak? Are you related to him?” Thinking for a minute, he remembered meeting the professor’s grandson. He realized that Daisy was probably Prof. Oak’s granddaughter, so he concluded that he’d met her brother. “I think I’ve seen your brother one time…” And then he remembered that the Clefairy incident happened to have occurred the day he met that guy. He mentally slapped himself. Can’t I even have one normal conversation without mentioning those stories for once? he thought.
He decided he’d just pretend to be a normal person, at least until he was out of that forest…
