Placing the basket down he tilted his head to the side. Haku would think he would know everything by knowing the village, but there was always more to learn. Seeing a wolf of all things, he was met with some confusion yet, curiosity.

The teen had removed his mask, he didn’t feel hostile and his learning with his team was learning how to extend his trust to others. Even if it was little baby steps, Naruto’s words, not his. Was this field some grounds he wasn’t supposed to be on? He couldn’t recall that Kakashi had ever said that to him.

“I did not know that the village had a wolf amongst them. My apologies if this is your home.”

Back then if he was…a tool he would have been more cautious and more guarded. But for now he would see what could happen. Who knows it might lead to be something good for him.

kaori was well aware of the newcomer that stepped onto her training grounds, but made no move to investigate, it was fairly common that the shinobi of the village would use the grounds for a variety of reasons and if they wanted business, they would come to her or send a message through one of her pups. so instead she laid out on one of the bigger rocks, enjoying the rays of the sun that had broken through the top layers of the trees, one of her ears twitched when she heard the footsteps and the voice.

giving herself one big stretch, the boss summon moved into a sitting position, eyes focused on the stranger. this one was new certainly, his scent different from the other shinobi that resided in the village.

“no need for apologies, pup, as long you don’t intend to bring trouble. this forest is open to all.” some of her pack members appeared out behind some of the surrounding trees, mostly out of curiousity rather than alarm. if kaori wasn’t troubled, then so were they.
