Hiya :) What are your thoughts on gifmakers having a ko-fi? Having one yourself, I hope you can offer me some insight. Particularly about people who think it’s basically profiting off of someone else’s work? (Whether it is gifs of movies, tv series, animes, etc) I am not one of those people. What do you think? my opinion on the whole thing is basically that what a lot of gifmakers are doing is essentially free advertisement for whatever it is they have made. like how many times haven’t you started watching something because you saw an edit of it and found it intriguing? yet gifmakers spend hours making their edits and doesn’t get paid a penny for all the free advertising they do. however at the same time it’s as you say not the gifmakers work so we don’t expect anything from it, we do it for fun because we enjoy it. having a ko-fi is basically just a tool for those that enjoy and see the hard work someone puts into their edits and wants to give back, all completely optional. i basically just have mine there if anyone feels like they like what i do and wants to contribute can but i never expect it, it’s just kind of there. i don’t think ive even publicly talked about having it besides in my info.

what are the fandom's main headcanons for jatp character? i'm trying to figure out julie, flynn, luke, reggie, carrie, nick, alex, and willie

it's very hard to determine what is universal for most of the fandom and what's just from my own corner of the fandom but things like luke being pan, flynn and carrie being wlw, julie being bi, willie and flynn he/they or she/they pronouns are all just headcanons made by the fans of the show. even reggie being bi, though heavily implied by the show, is technically just a head canon. we also have the hc that nick is ryan and chad's son from hsm lmao. besides that stuff things like alex and sometimes even reggie coming from rich families are common hc's i've seen. even alex parents being very religious. those are the main ones i can think about of the top of my head.
