“They’re the furthest thing from my mind, that’s why I’ve got the telescope” may be the most underrated joke in the entire show.

in terms of that episode's best transitions, i'm still an even bigger fan of the camera panning down from the graves to the shot of mary and stede at the dining room table.
the opening sequence in discomfort where alma and louis are playing pirates with stede and then it jarringly cuts to stede being actually stabbed while alma's voice says "and that's how we treat pirates"? the best transition in the history of television i fear

People agreeing with the worst versions that Ed and Stede think of themselves is utterly confusing. Hating the characters for their worst self perceived notions instead of the entire thesis of the show: that we aren't the worst versions of ourselves, instead we can grow, learn, change, and we can be loved unconditionally (I e. All sides of ourselves: good, bad, etc), weird choice.

"Season two ruined OFMD"
Season two was so beautiful with three of the most heart-wrenching episodes of television I've ever watched. If season one rewired my brain, season two rewired my entire body. Season two took both of my hands, looked into my eyes, and told me that it loved me.
