I wanted to put together a small checklist of things independent artists need to have to establish their brand. I suggested to have a logo for branding purposes. I also suggested to register to e Performance Right Organization because I feel like this is one of the biggest steps independent artists miss because they think they only need a Soundcloud, Youtube, and Spotify. Creating ads to reach a new audience is essential as an independent artist. You can't rely on your friends on facebook or instagram. You have to reach an audience who will support you more than the people in your city. Being consistent in the music industry is key to stay relevant. Sometimes you need a break, but when you're ready to make moves, you have to build some momentum and keep going. This information is essential for any up and coming artist that wants to be a part of the industry, but doesn't have the sources or guidance to meet their goals.
