On Taylor Swift’s 30th birthday (Dec 13th, 2019), Swifties in China organized a charitable activity, “Beautiful Eyes”, to collect funds for China Guide Dog Training Centre (Sina Weibo: @中国导盲犬), referring to guide dogs as “extra eyes” for the blind, as a way to celebrate this monumental day. With its beginning at 19:13pm on December 11th, 2019, the raised fund reached and surpassed the initial goal (30130 yuan) with a total sum of 32162 yuan in just 20 minutes.

We, Swifties in China, wished easier life for visually challenged people with “beautiful eyes”, with the assistance of guide dogs.

What is still worth mentioning is that organizing large-scale charitable activities on Taylor Swift’s birthday has been a tradition for Swifties in China since 2017.

In 2017, Swifties in China planted 1213 trees in the desert, and named them Taylor Swift’s Woods.

In 2018, Swifties in China donated 28337 yuan to Audiology Development Foundation of China and helped four kids with special needs in hearing aids.
