What is your ideal type?

That's a question that requires a bit of a long answer. I'm going to be as honest as I can

Smart and ambitious -- doesn't have to be "book" smart. You need to have goals for what you want to do in life. As I'm about to start residency this June, I need someone who's also high-performing and wants to go up in the world. Nothing is music to my ears like "my 5 year plan is ____" or "This is what I want in 5-10 years"

More extroverted than me, but does not talk over me

In terms of appearance -- more feminine than me. I'm more masc, but not 100% masc if that makes any sense

No preference in terms of hair color, eye color, skin tone, whatever

Age -- 24/25 and up

At the end of the day -- someone who wants me back. My end goal is marriage, so if my person doesn't want that, she should say so and stop wasting both our time, you know?

What is the most "in love" thing you've ever done for a girl

Had the biggest crush on my best friend. We met in elementary school, and we're thankfully still friends today.

In high school, I would constantly sneak into her bedroom so we could cuddle and have sleepovers (her mom later said that she knew for years that I was there lol). I wrote “I love you” in the snow for her birthday before school "just to make her happy". Anyway, I had somehow convinced myself for years that this was all things straight girls did for each other lmfao

Thoughts on the Handmaid's Tale?

Excellent show, especially the first 2-3 seasons. Hopefully for this last season coming up they'll bring some of the magic back.

However -- huge TW if you're planning on watching it: lots of sexual violence (both on screen and implied), LGBT violence too

I saw it as a friendly gesture. However, I struggle with social cues, so take my words with a grain of salt.

We did exchange numbers at the end of the conversation though. She said it felt like a blessing for her to have talked to me because she was missing some LGBT energy in her life.

The only thing is she's pretty masc (I am too!), and I'm more attracted to women who are more feminine if that makes any sense. Who knows? Maybe things will work out that way, but maybe not

Randomly sat next to this lady during lunchtime, and it turns out that we're both lesbians! What are the odds of this happening?

She revealed that she's an older lesbian (mid 50's), and she's been out since 1982, so she's pretty much seen it all when it comes to recent decades of LGBT activity.

Idk..thought I would share this experience with the group because it was so nice to talk to a fellow lesbian in real life
