What are driftloon like actually? I've heard all the bad sterotypes about them but they honestly don't seem that bad

Well I can’t speak for every drifloon, but my drifloon is super friendly. She’s kinda slow moving, cautious, but kind. She loves to touch part of me with her string or hold my hand or hold my pen while I’m drawing.

She’s just this lovely gentle presence who I can tell loves my company.

She’s kind of a breath of fresh air after trying to tire out my hyperactive yanmega, Stripe lol.

I already had my first battle in the new region! Practically right out of the airport someone with a Furfrou was looking for a casual battle. Cheri was SO down. And we won! Cheri is on a fucking winning streak like nobody’s business.

I’ve seen so many cool Pokémon thatve just blown my mind. I saw a slurpuff at a bakery. So CUTE! Aah

I totally forgot to tell everyone about my adoption of a greavard puppy! Angel's an absolute sweetheart and had taken quite the shine to Cross (my drifloon)

i guess cause theyre both ghost types? either way, Angel's fitting right in and is an absolute delight. She really gets a long with Donut as well. It's been great

Cheri is SUPER ready to see the sights and battle EVERYTHING. Custard's got approval to be out of the pokeball on the plane, and Stinger and Stripe are super pumped to fly around a whole new continent.

I've got everything packed and I'm ready to do a proper journey.

What does it mean when someone refers to their pokemon as their 'ace'? I've never gotten it

it usually mean their strongest, also the one they're closest with i think?

custard is my ace. he's my best battler cause he's lightning fast (ha) and so tiny he's IMPOSSIBLE to hit. he's also my first pokemon and best friend. my best friend who happens to fit in my pocket.

pretty sure like the ace is the first pokemon for all the champions. i know thats how it is for cynthia and leon at least. and garchomp and charizard are definitely their strongest respectively.

You there, give me the story behind how you caught Stripe. I was born in Sinnoh and try as I might those little buggers always got away from me before I could throw my Pokeball, I even used Quick Balls. @kennythescouter

i had moved to sinnoh somewhat recently and was out sketching wild pokemon in the nearby forest. saw lots of cool stuff that day. even saw a wild leafeon! but then i saw a whole swarm of yanma and i quickly realized those things move way too fast to draw. i kept following the swarm though. i was taking pictures on my rotom phone to try and get a good one i could draw and i think the flash attracted a couple.

i got scared, thinking id pissed em off. Custard i think realized i was scared and was like "o shit battle time". i hadnt trained him well at that point cause i was still an early teenager and didnt know how to really discipline a pokemon so he shocked the closest yanma. (he did it in defense of his trainer so i cant really get too mad) the others flew away but that one yanma was like "o shit you wanna GO you tiny unovan shit?!" we battled and won, and i was like "oh FUCK I CAN ACTUALLY CATCH THIS THING" and BOOM my second sinnoh catch!

wasnt even planning on catching stripe, it just happened. and thank Arceus it did! i love my yanmega so so much.

sorry i havent been posting! a lots happened

i quit my job and im going back to college for software engineering

the college im attending is 100% online with no set schedule

so ive decided to go on a bit of a journey while i do college online!

ill pack just a backpack with the bare necessities, plus my laptop, drawing tablet, and supplies for pokemon as well.

im gonna travel while i study, to learn more about the world around me and pokemon while i study computers.

im really excited for it, any suggestions on what i should do on my journey? im thinking gym badges, maybe a contest... maybe i should travel to an entirely different region! ive got international coverage and unlimited data and hotspot so i can connect to my college from anywhere in the world!

the world is my cloyster, im so excited!

i draw Custard all the time. Joltik are so fuzzy and have such fun anatomy and shapes. but i love drawing any pokemon. i love going to the closest beach and just drawing the scenery and/or any pokemon that show up. its really relaxing and entertaining.

I am. Sick.

Haven’t been posting much cause my job is awful.

My Pokémon have been keeping my going though.

Though, Cheri is confused why we can’t train today. Donut is comforting me while I’m sick in bed.

Some good news: I got a metal coat for when Cheri is eventually ready to evolve. I don’t know when that’ll be though.

Stinger is a joy to have around. He and Custard have really hit it off.

I love having the around. Sometimes it’s the only thing that keeps me from breaking down.

there's a looot of myths and legends around pokemon in sinnoh. like a lot. im not super well-versed in mythology but from what i can gather, arceus is like a mega-god who made god of time, dialga, and go of space, palkia.

also giratina is like, evil? was it? and azelf, uxie, and mesprit are all parts of the mind and guard lakes?

im not big on religion and myths and junk. but ive seen paintings and drawings of what people think they look like, and giratina looks amazing. truly otherworldy...
