Toying with LEDs💡 . . . . Yep...the HVAC is Havoc. Very very tight areas. Again the LED legs weren't long enough for a direct replacement...so had to take the same approach I did with the Window Switch. This was pretty difficult since the LED legs sith within a plastic tunnel. I could have taken the LED tunnel holders out amd soldered from there...but it was kinda a hassle to pop one out and then realign it and the LED legs for reassembly. So I have these ugly looking "welds" because the plastic tunnels were starting to melt during the joining. 🤦🏽‍♂️...but they work. And it's tucked out of sight anyway. Playing with LEDs💡 . . . . Wasn't a direct replacement... Found put the LED legs weren't exactly long enough to reach the solder point...so I just decided to snip the OEM head off and solder the new LED directly to the old legs...its not the most glamorous job...but yep it worked...given the limited space to work in . I'm 50/50 on the results. The purple output is hard to see (in photo) since it's UV...but it has that deep purple output thats not pink...And well...its essentially a blacklight. I will probably have to experiment with other LEDs for because I'm not too keep on doing the Speedo and HVAC in the UV LEDs...😳 it's essentially staring into a black light for extended periods of night driving. Plate frame installed . . . . Took a minute to get this special plate frame mounted...the biggest challenge was 1) The rear view camera for the mirror and 2) The 360 panoramic camera...after a little dremel work and hole drilling...I was able to get the frame set as well as both cameras set. Camera mounting 📏 📐 📏 . . . . No more dangles or gaff tape. Finally going to mount these cameras up. The rear view mirror camera is the bulkiest of the two but couldn't be installed until after the special license plate frame is installed. Coming Soon 🎥... . . . . Well...this was a process...mainly due to the fact that I dont have every proper tool at my disposal...but managed to secure these ST180 power mirrors...In the SAME color...it could work as is colorwise since My top is black...so a black/red scheme wouldnt look too off. Getting the chirp chirp . . . . So now getting the remote start and alarm installed. Debated back and forth on who to go for...but got great reviews from the Excaliber Line. Didn't do the two way option...mainly because if I opt in for the Linkr...I can start the car anywhere in the US and can GPS ping it at anytime. Another shop fail discovered... . . . . So...back when my car was held hostage...lol...I told them that along with the fuse issue...the antenna doesn't work...so it was always up. Now loading...📹 . . . . Little by little, piece by piece, ill get it done. Weather hasn't been friendly lately and (still) trying to get myself in better spirits...but so far I got the mirror unit mounted and power routed. Next steps...run rear cam wires, mount rear cam, mount front cam, nip and tuck all wiring and then...see if I will go the custom mount for the unit or keep the piggyback off oem mirror setup. Gauge Galore . . . . This Bluetooth ODB2 reader is working out nicely...only gripe is I'm going to have to reposition the ODB2 port because I will continue to kick the reader off getting out of the car. I Haven't jumped deeper into the rabbit hole with this....but having data points as RPMs, Temp, Oil, Vac, etc is amazing.
