it’s been a hot while! I’m busy with uni and maintaining my grades, med school studies, and life in general, but in the midst of it all…..

BRUHSTATION HAS REACHED 1000+ FOLLOWERS!!! WOAH!!!!!!!!!

WHAT‼️

truth to be told, this blog reached exactly 1000 followers back in early december 2023. I was planning on making a one shot comic, but ran out of time and energy and my follower count kept going up and up! so I decided to come forward about it now.

thank you all for your support for the one and a half year bruhstation has been operating! it’s still a bit shocking to me how much people take interest in this unofficial spinoff of mine through your asks, submissions, reblogs, and comments and how so many of you has made fan content like fanart, fanfic, and playlists while casa tidmouth develops. I can’t thank you all enough for your love and interest, and despite me getting busier everyday, you all still stuck around. I cannot express my gratitude enough for you all.

I’ve met a lot of amazing people in this community who kept supporting me and my friends even before I joined the ttteblr community also shared many joys as well! what I initially thought to be a quaint blog that’s not gonna last long has now garnered so much support and love!!! it’s been really fun!!!!

one thousand and forty people!!! that’s insane!!!! also reaching 1k followers in one and half a year….. heh…. (rubs the back of my head)

but here’s the thing! this little drawing of the 156 trio isn’t just what I have in mind! think of it as a starter for this 1k followers celebration because I want to give the followers of bruhstation something special.

so here’s my plan! I’m planning on holding a casa tidmouth popularity poll in commemoration of this four digit milestone.

the poll will be held through google form. it’s more of a questionaire if anything — the questions will be divided into categories like which character you like design wise, personality wise, etc… and you can vote for the character(s) present! not only characters — you can also vote for stuff related to the story (related to the questions given, of course!) there’ll also be other questions related to the blog itself (outside of the cstm universe) as well. yannow, blog improvisation and stuff. I won’t spoil much of my idea here, but I just want to see the public’s reception.

but before I go through with my plan, I’m holding an interest check to see how many people are interested in this popularity poll idea! so —

Gordon the Big Engine:

Gordon was built at Doncaster in 1920-1921 as an experimental prototype for Sir Nigel Gresley's A1 Pacific design for the Great Northern Railway but had to get rebuilt cause of so many faulty parts around 1922/23 and there are so many Thai gas that happened like he ended up being sent to the North Western Railway he is the older brother of the Flying Scotsman and was understandably grieving where flying Scotsman’s visits him and he pulled the Queen Elizabeth’s II royal train he such a grumpy cat a jerk with a heart of gold

Gordon is literally one of the OG train characters from one of the most well known UK based media properties AND he’s British AND has famous locomotive relatives. He pulls (one of) the most important trains on the island and makes sure to rub it in, he goes through it™️ in the books at the fact that most of his siblings are dead and again at the possibility of two-ish new express engines coming over to the Mainline job, he’s pompous and stuck up a bit of an ass esp when competition is involved even but also he cares. he cares So much for people even tho he’s like on this sort of kind of 50/50 on if he shows it.

There's trains that are FROM Britain, and there's British Trains™. Gordon is a British Train™.

Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin:

Just an average British guy who dresses like a bloke you would see lingering outside Asda. He joins the Kingsman agency, besting all the private school candidates in the process. He is underestimated due to his working class background, but his background is actually what gives him the edge above everyone else. I just think that he epitomises a normal British guy in such a fun way.

Hold Me Fast ~ A 2 x 5 fic

There's another titter, and it seems Edward is otherwise amused, his own cheeks darkening as he sends a teasingly quirked brow the mogul’s way, “Does that surprise you, James? Truly?”

“No!” He blurts far too quickly, like he might be able to preserve some dignity, but it comes out louder and more abashed than he’d like. Because he knows deep down that it really doesn’t surprise him at all. And Edward’s laugh is light and sunny, his eyes softening all over again, “No… Because you’re… well you’re kind! And… and good. And I–”

“Mmmhmm,” Edward hums in that knowing way of his, his smile twitching at the corners, and James swallows, feeling smaller than he is. But it’s different. It’s not humiliating, like when he’s having whatever lesson he has to learn rubbed in his face, or when he’s so terribly sorry for the hurt he’s caused. It’s different, like a lot of things are with Edward.

And that’s just it, isn’t it?

Wrote this because I couldn't get over how thematically delicious the ropes are in Old Iron, how opposites attract, and how Edward has always been there for James since day one, since he was sick, since he was a runaway, and they've been bound together ever since. With that long, slow-burning kind of love that they don't ever put a name to, but they know it's there, whether they recognize and understand it or not.
