@bluheaven-adw your post reminded me of an idea I had of one of the ways Jim could be revealed to Toby in the new timeline.

Blinky and Vendel get to Toby and manage to sway his opinion on changelings despite Jim's best efforts to get his friend to keep an open mind about them. Toby leans more towards the idea of extinguishing Morgana's creatures from this world while Jim defends the beings, reminding himself that Toby doesn't know that they have friends/allies that are changelings.

Eventually the dispute grows until Toby is accusing Jim of being one of the evil beings, a spy, his enemy, because why else would his best friend be so adamant about sparing something that Blinky and Vendel insist are irredeemable creatures?

In his anger and frustration, Toby takes a swing at Jim.

Rather than dodge or block, Jim surprises everyone by summoning Daylight to his own hands and throwing Toby to the ground, sword held out in warning.

Jim knows he can't hide any longer, not without risking the timeline.

I’ve been thinking about jim being trans a lot over the past few days and

thinking about the contrast between how toby and jim react to girls, jim could not care about some of the things toby cares about, like being in a girl’s room when they sneak into claire’s house the first time… being socialized/living as a girl the first few years of your life kind of takes the mystery out of that sort of thing. jim gets flustered around claire because he likes her. toby acts different around girls in general

but not around jim of course. and it warms my heart to think of toby acting so embarrassing around girls, but not at all like that around jim. because jim is a boy, plain and simple

jim and toby aren’t popular at school in the slightest, yet jim is charismatic - he earns the leading role in their school play, he’s cute, he’s athletic, he dates claire during the series. I always got the sense that claire liked him because he wasn’t as much of an idiot as other boys. boys like that at my high school? they were popular. but my experience being trans in high school was never being seen like the other boys. I never shared their popularity

jim coming out as trans at a young age. I’ve been trying to justify why he’d be named after his dad when his dad walked out on him and his mom. if he came out later it could be a situation like “what were you going to name me had I been born a cis boy?” or if jim came out as trans at a young age, his parents could have let him experiment and let him try out a boy’s name, or just straight up named him

the photo in jim’s wallet (and on the wall in their house if I remember correctly) is of him as a child along with his mother in a graduation gown. I’m sort of in love with the idea that maybe she pursued being a doctor because she wanted to help and better understand her kid

I dunno. jim is such a sweet character. I’ve watched a lot of children’s shows with young male protagonists, but it isn’t often that I’m struck with the thought that ‘this boy doesn’t seem cis.’ I know I headcanon a lot of characters as trans! but it isn’t necessarily the main character, and boy protagonists of children’s shows tend to have a very generic vibe to them that jim doesn’t share

i saw this while scrolling through the ggy tag and i was like “oh ill reblog cause i agree!” I LITERALLY POSTED THIS

cn someohe keep me sane here. please tell me i am NOT THE ONLY PERSON thinking the mimic is controlling gregory instead of outright mimicking because “gregory, run!” seems to directly imply cassie has somehow in some way seen him, or knows his location. which then implies she knows its gregory, because if “gregory” knows his location, and cassie knows her, surely they COULD meet up at some point. which is super questionable because ??? ITS? they had to have met up wt SOME POINT right. thats probably how the walkie talkie connection was made (i will admit we don’t know if the mimic is speaking through the walkie talkie, but im going to guess for now that they’re not, but it always could be) but either way. freddy is here. this HAS to be the burntrap ending due to the parts missing from each animatronic and also strange modifications applied to them that couls NOT be applied by machine hand, esp someone like the mimic. roxy’s whole facial shape literally changed entirely. this has to be burntrap. so if freddy is back, then gregory has to be back, ans back as the role he played in ggy, right?
