between traveling back and forth from ITALY, lyra found herself situated in the streets of hogsmeade. it’d been quite a while since she visited the snow covered village. she toyed with one of the straps of her purse as she walked and entered honeydukes. even after being out of hogwarts for two years now, the alum still couldn’t resist their BLOOD-FLAVORED lollies. “ i’ll never know how the  blood-flavored lollies are still selling at honeydukes, but i’m really not complaining, ” she said to the person next to her. “ at least i get to stock up on it –– as odd as it may be. ”

aleida only ever visits 𝓱𝓸𝓷𝓮𝔂𝓭𝓾𝓴𝓮𝓼 when her twin drags her here kicking and screaming, sugary foods serving as the sixth year’s ᴋʀʏᴘᴛᴏɴɪᴛᴇ. she squints upon hearing the older girl’s utterance, she, too, not understanding why 𝖇𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖉-𝖋𝖑𝖆𝖛𝖔𝖗𝖊𝖉 sweets are still a hit at the shoppe. she’s mindful to keep her facial expression as neutral as possible so not to offend the other, but she finds the idea of 𝖇𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖉-𝖋𝖑𝖆𝖛𝖔𝖗𝖊𝖉 lollipops repulsive. ‘ the silver lining, ’ she offers, eyes scanning all of the sweets she wouldn’t allow herself to indulge in. ‘ i don’t think i’ve ever seen a person actually consume one- well, other than you. ’

“i must say, while peeves can be a right pain in the arse, he is rather…ENTERTAINING at times.” the blonde chuckled as the poltergeist zoomed through the halls, babbling the stanzas to some rhyme he created moments before about a ravenclaw with rather large ears.

‘ ᴜɴᴍɪꜱᴛᴀᴋᴀʙʟʏ more of a pain than he is entertaining, ’ aleida chuckles, scanning the poltergeist’s line of... flying with 𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕘𝕦𝕖𝕕 eyes. ‘ charming how quickly he comes up with strophes, that one’ll be stuck in my head all day now. ’

Nadia wouldn’t have been surprised if irritation had slipped through the cracks and was written across her features, as she reads through the newly received letter from her parents not even getting more than a line into it before the parchment becomes crumpled up in her hands and without even a second glance it’s tucked into the dark haired snake’s robes, and as she gets ready to head off in the OPPOSITE direction she spots a familiar face, and decides to go ahead and approach. “Hey!” She greets with her normal perfected smile. “M’sorry if you were busy or anything I just thought I’d come and say hi – speaking of which how are you?”

aleida halts on her heels and greets nadia with a grin, not bothered at all by the older student’s desire for ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴛᴀʟᴋ. she keeps a safe distance between herself and the 𝖘𝖑𝖞𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖓, bearing in mind that she had just spent two hours sparring with a couple of her fellow 𝖗𝖆𝖛𝖊𝖓𝖈𝖑𝖆𝖜 friends - as evidenced by the sweat that’s gleaming off of her bronzed skin - and probably doesn’t smell very pleasant as a result. ‘ hey, there ! i was just on my way to douse myself in hot water and 𝓱𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓸 𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓾𝓽𝓲𝓯𝓾𝓵, hence my distance- anyway, i’m fine, thanks. how are you ? ’

with a sigh, ely laid her quill between the pages of her transfiguration textbook and leaned back for a stretch. she’d been working on her homework for hours and her body had grown rigid over the library table. her outstretched hands bumped a passer by and she withdrew quickly, as if she’d been struck by lightning. “sorry! sorry,” cheeks flushed slightly. “i wasn’t paying attention.”
