Brunch White Pizza (medium spoons)
I say brunch because I needed to use eggs, so I cracked some eggs on top. You don't have to, but it's yummy. I used a pizza crust mix from Walmart, and added some seasonings to it. I like flavor. Just follow the directions of your mix or pre-made crust.
Again, using a disposable pan because I couldn't bother washing a baking pan. This took too long, just from having to wash the measuring cup and eggs in a trickle of water. And washing my hands between each ingredient! I don't do cross-contamination. Wash your hands a lot, peeps! It took hours and it shouldn't have, but limited counter space and a trickle of water means making the simplest things takes too long and causes me a whole lot of agony. For me, this was honestly high spoons, but I'm taking the hardships into account. Your spoon levels might be different. Only you can really decide.
Let me know what you think!
Ingredients:
Pizza crust mix & water, or a dough or whatever you're using
Oil for the pan/ dough
Seasonings (optional but you'll thank me if you mix them into your dough!)
Eggs (optional, but hey, brunch)
Artichoke hearts
Mushrooms
Mozzarella
Prosciutto (you could use bacon if you don't have prosciutto. It's different, but prosciutto isn't cheap)
Directions:
Make your dough according to directions and spread it into your pan. Oil if you need to.
Put your cheese first.
Add the mushrooms and artichoke hearts
Crack your clean eggs on top!
Add that prosciutto!
Bake your pizza according to directions. Mine said 475⁰ but my oven only goes to 425 so I added like 2 extra minutes.

Air Fryer/Toaster Oven Huevos Rancheros (medium spoons)
I'll start by saying that I got the Ranchero sauce and refried beans with dinner from a Mexican restaurant. I'll also say that I'm very, very white. I love Mexican food, and I've been blessed with Mexican friends willing to share authentic recipes with me, but I'm not gonna claim this as an authentic recipe. It is fucking delicious though. Also, it's naturally gluten free! Corn tortillas shouldn't have gluten, and you don't have to spend extra for the gf label!
I only have a toaster oven/air fryer (not the kind of air fryer with the basket) and a microwave to work with, and limited energy that's been getting worse. I had eggs to use, so here we go.
Some methods like foil lining is optional. If you wanna wash a baking sheet, I ain't gonna stop you. My eggs leaked and got a little stuck. Foil made cleanup easy. I'm just trying to survive. I use a lot of disposable things for meal prep because washing just takes too much out of me. My plumbing don't even work properly and I have to wash in a trickle of water. You do you. The idea is the same, and if you're like me, it'll save you some spoons by giving you ideas, I hope. Good luck and enjoy.
Ingredients:
Corn tortillas
Eggs
Refried beans
Ranchero sauce
Jalapeño slices (optional. I used these bc the Ranchero sauce was very thin. And I really love jalapeños.)
Cotija/queso fresco
Tajin (optional, to taste)
Directions:
Toast the tortillas on a foil lined and honestly probably greased baking sheet (don't overdo it like I accidentally did. I got distracted for a whole 5 seconds 😡 just crisp them a little, on both sides.)
Spread your beans on the tortillas. Don't ask how much. Feel it with your heart. I put a thin layer, but made sure there was enough bean to taste it without making the tortillas mushy. You can add your jalapeños now if you want them!
Crack your clean eggs (yep, I wash them! People have been touching them) on top of your bean painted tortillas. Sprinkle some tajin if you wanna.
Bake/air fry at 325⁰ until your eggs meet your doneness. Keep a close watch. It goes fast. I think mine were done in 5 min. I also think I let them rest, just to ensure the white wasn't snotty 🤢
Take out carefully, pour on your Ranchero sauce, to taste.
Sprinkle on your cheese, and maybe some extra tajin.
Don't burn yourself as you inhale these because they taste so good.

This area is a death sentence without transportation. I'm running out of food, I can't get my prescriptions, can't flee in an emergency, and me and Syd have been freezing for like, two weeks, aside from the past two days because it's been surprisingly warm out for October. But November is around the corner, and it's gonna get cold. Fast.
I don't have the funds to repair my van, or the furnace.
Eventually, I'm gonna go homeless if the taxes aren't paid, but the van and furnace are extremely pressing matters right now.
If you can afford to donate, I'd appreciate anything you can spare. If you can't, that's okay. You can still help by sharing this campaign! Please don't donate if you can't afford to, but please SHARE no matter what!
OUR SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON IT. YES, I AM BEGGING. I'M TERRIFIED.

The Arcana Recipes: Mazelinka’s soup
After making Asra’s French toast last week, here is Mazelinka’s roasted squash soup! Here’s the original post from the official account with the recipe:
And here’s another recipe anon sent me that’s almost exactly the same (thank you so much friend!!), only with more specific measurements and instructions:
I ended up doing a weird combo of both recipes, while adjusting different spices/aromatics because I was making enough for 20 servings for a community dinner XD
Pics of how it went and some observations below the cut!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first step was prepping and roasting the squash and onions. I chose to follow anon’s recipe on this one, roasting the onions and squash in the oven completely for an hour, instead of putting them in whole for ten minutes and doing the rest of the cooking in the soup pot. The last pic shows the onions and squash on the tray, the seeds I scooped out to roast later, and the olive oil and maple mixture to coat the vegetables with!
Here’s the before and after of the roasting:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ll be honest, I was a little leery of using maple syrup on roast vegetables, but it worked so well!! The sugar ended up adding to the caramelizing process and pulling out a whole new depth of flavor ^.^
Here’s the pot of onion and squash before and after they were blended:

I followed more of the official video with this step, mashing the soup inside the pot instead of using a blender. I made a similar choice of adding fresh ginger and garlic at this stage with the other spices and broth instead of roasting it, and letting the soup simmer for a while.
The result was delicious - hearty, spiced but not spicy, sweet-savory and very comforting. I made homemade dinner rolls to go with them too!
I can definitely see how a flavor profile and heartiness like this would match the soup Mazelinka makes in the story (minus the bone ash and sand)! It’s comforting, unbelievably delicious, more-ish, and ultimately very satisfying. I haven’t tried it Julian style by lacing it with sleeping meds yet, or traded it Portia style with a demon for information, but now I know how to make it in case I ever have to!
As for the squash seeds, I soaked them for half an hour, cleaned the pulp off of them, and let them dry completely before coating them in olive oil and roasting them at 275 for about 30 minutes. I added salt to taste afterwards and my younger siblings gobbled them down like popcorn XD

A lot of the recipes I post (not reblog) are simpler, quicker, less ingredients etc because I'm disabled and cooking gets harder and harder. Haven't posted in a while, but thinking about starting up again.
Do any of u have decent recipes that are like 5 ingredients (not including spices) and take 45 mins or less to prepare i gotta stop eating sandwiches for dinner
