If you find yourself hiking and you see a bear, there are three ways to avoid confrontation with the animal. The first way is the most well-known, is to size them up and make yourself look large to dissuade them from engaging. Another one I heard about is to attempt camouflage with the darker areas of the forest (although I can’t confirm this one).
