A team for Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece!

Munchlax - Anything that looks edible, Munchlax will go on and swallow whole. Its stomach is tough enough to handle it even if the food has gone rotten.

Infernape - Its crown of fire is indicative of its fiery nature. It is beaten by none in terms of quickness.

Cramorant - Cramorant instinctively swallow everything whole. They're at their most formidable when they're struggling to swallow overly large prey. It's an incredibly poor learner because it uses the bare minimum amount of energy for its brain. It focuses on battling instead.

Breloom - Breloom closes in on its foe with light and sprightly footwork, then throws punches with its stretchy arms. This Pokémon's fighting technique puts boxers to shame.

Wobbuffet - Usually docile, a Wobbuffet strikes back ferociously if its black tail is attacked. It makes its lair in caves where it waits for nightfall.

Misdreavus - It loves to bite and yank people's hair from behind without warning, just to see their shocked reactions.

Details:

Infernape is probably the most “serious” Pokemon here. I put a focus on silly, goofy Pokemon, ones I think Luffy would be personally amused by. He’s the type to recruit on vibes, so it’s a vibe-based team!

Munchlax is the first and most obvious. It’s a forgetful big eater that has been depicted in-series to constantly get itself into situations in search of its next meal. Infernape is also a predictable choice. A monkey with fire that likes fighting and has an emphasis on a “unique fighting style”.

Cramorant was chosen as a sea bird that barely thinks and bites off more than it can chew, and Breloom was picked for the mix of stretchy arms and its silly, sock puppet face. Fun fact, its seeds are technically edible, but will make you very, very sick.

Wobbuffet is a Pokemon with a rubbery body who simply deflects attacks and is shown as intrusive and goofy within the anime. Finally, Misdreavus is a little prankster who likes messing with people and gets up to trouble.

i am genuinely glad the traitor was york and not lilith. besides lilith being a stupidly obviously choice, one piece has always reinforced the fact that evil for pure evils sake doesnt really… exist? (you could try and argue a case for doflamingo, but all we have to go off of is rosi saying so, and i dont think hes a reliable narrator in this situation. it always felt more like him rationalizing for the sake of his own sanity to me).

like, how many one piece villains have been driven partially or entirely by greed, their intense desire to take or possess something and fuck everybody else? buggy, kuro, don krieg, wapol, crocodile, foxy, enel, spandam, the celestial dragons, caesar, doflamingo, big mom, kaido…. the list goes on. they wanted to hoard wealth, territory, power, control, whatever. so much evil in the world of one piece is driven or enabled by greed.

im not shocked the aspect of vegapunk that represented his greediness sold him out.
