WFC/FOC Megatron: Pure evil tyrant who admitted that he used Orion Pax for his own goals.
TFP Megatron: Implied to have honor. Thought of his first days in the mines during and right after he was tortured by Unicron. That's the reason he then understood the "true meaning of oppression."
Are we sure these two are the exact same character?
I find it ironic that the Megatron design from the game that followed the Aligned bible (left) looks less gladiator-y than the one from the show that didn't follow the Aligned bible (right)
I love TFP to death, but there's something I don't understand. Why the writers of TFP reference the Aligned novels, but also ignore them?
The origin story of Orion Pax and Megatronus is taken from Exodus. Smokescreen references Halogen, the one who chose Orion as the next Prime in Exodus.
Yet, the characters act as if Dark Energon is a myth in the first episodes. Also, the Decepticons aren't aware of Nemesis being Trypticon, even though they were the ones that transformed him in Exodus.
