to those saying thomas won’t make nimulot canon, i offer three things:

one, why wouldn’t he? he’s been supportive of it and selective likes things when it comes to cursed.

two, why would he specifically mention nimulot for the theories when he could’ve acknowledged other popular theories like lancelot and squirrel’s ongoing dynamic, lancelot being fire, etc.?

three, let us be excited that someone who supports our ship is coming out with a second book and mentioned us. don’t tramp on our fun ffs.

“Equinox” - Nimue and Lancelot from Chapter 11 of A Song of Ash and Sky

She could see his eyes now, sharp and yet soft all at once. “And at least for this moment, on the equinox, they are equals, in perfect balance. This day, there is as much light as darkness.”

Lancelot leaned closer. Nimue’s breathing turned shallow as the edge of his hood descended over her, pulling her into the shadow with him. His thick cloak shut out the light and noise of the forest, and the world contracted to just the space of their shared breaths. In this tiny realm, she was suddenly aware of the textures she could not feel but knew were there: the prickle of his thin beard, the softness of his cheeks, the feathered brush of his eyelashes.

There was no hiding the hitch in her breath now. She could barely breathe at all, waiting for him to…. to do something. And if he did…. What would she do? If he did….

Something inside her was lurching forward, straining to draw nearer to the sensations that waited on the other side of that warm darkness. Nimue felt a soft weight on her hip, and realized that Lancelot had rested his hand there. He gave a gentle tug, and she was pulled toward him.

Her eyes drifted closed.

this could very well be a shot in the dark that leads nowhere.

but has anyone noticed how silent many of the cursed actors have been? as well as thomas wheeler? for these being previously active social media celebrities, aside from the more prominently famous actors like kat daniel and gustaf, the majority of others have either limited comments, gone private, or just havent posted hardly anything since last year. while they used to be just ur everyday poster like any of us, they have all collectively taken a step away or have acted pretty suspiciously silent. especially thomas wheeler.

now this could be a random coincidence, but ever notice how netflix doesn’t always directly announce something as renewed or cancelled yet still releases it? or better yet, doesn’t tell anyone or tries to keep the cast as secretly involved as possible to make the comeback more impactful (ie we can be heroes with lavagirl’s return and the movie’s plot which was kept so airtight for a year)

it’s just weird to see many of them collectively stop posting, go private or limit comments recently, or not talk abt filming whatsoever. like i said, could amount to nothing, but somethings still fishy.

i mean nimue and lancelot are literally special and clearly will mean something big to each other whether other shippers like it or not. lancelot is literally called lancelot of the lake as a full title, the hidden speak to them when the other is around, and they are confirmed fire and water of the elements which cursed canon has confirmed that not only is it the main motif of the series but also the elements need to coexist with each other. so sorry antis who ship something else, but there’s no getting around the importance of nimulot even coming from a neutral standpoint.

Nimue wakes to find herself face-to-face for the first time with the terrifying figure who has haunted her steps for weeks - the notorious Weeping Monk.

His eyes opened.

They were startlingly blue, and as his gaze focused, they widened slightly in an unmistakable expression of fear. Good, she thought, you should be afraid of me. Nimue let him take her in, let him feel the full weight of his humiliation at being caught by the Wolf-Blood Witch at the end of his own sword. She almost hoped he would lunge at her, giving her an excuse to end his life now and take Squirrel away from here, forgetting this nightmare had ever existed. On the other hand, she relished again the feeling of power she’d had as the Fey Queen, and she wanted to see it reflected in his eyes. I’ve won, Nimue thought. You thought you would kill us all, but we escaped. And now you are the one hunted.

@murderouswhoresansa and i decided to collaborate and create our fandom’s very first nimulot week, a week dedicated to fanfic writers, editors, and other content creators alike to come together and create according to the theme presented per day!

this year’s nimulot week will be held between tuesday, november 17th, to monday, november 23rd, so mark ur calendars!

now for the themes!

tuesday, day 1: first meeting

basically anything from first meeting to au or even within the cursed universe itself! any sort of edit or prompt or theory is acceptable!

wednesday, day 2: modern au/smut

this can be any sort of modern au and some exceptions can even be futuristic au or past au as well! for smut, there aren’t really any restrictions here so have fun ;)

thursday, day 3: enchanted

the theme here can be anything between vampires, werewolves, or mermaids to greek gods or star wars! u could even do something within the cursed universe where lancelot and nimue have different fey powers!

friday, day 4: hunger games

the theme here is pretty self-explanatory, but anything hunger games related for an au is acceptable

saturday, day 5: harry potter

once again, the theme is pretty self-explanatory, and anything harry potter related for an au is acceptable!

sunday, day 6: first i love you or gender-swap

two choices for this day! the setting can b modern or in the cursed universe as well!

monday, day 7: free day

anything and everything of ur choice that wasn’t a part of the list above can be done and is encouraged!
