Mahmoud Abu Salama is doing an amazing thing in North Gaza! He is starting a project to help Deaf Palestinian women use their pastry making skills while also distributing food to families in need. This is helping both the women make a bit of a living and feed the hungry in the North.

A 28-year-old motorcyclist died in Washington State on Friday afternoon because a dipshit Tesla driver rear-ended him at speed. A Snohomish man, 56, was commuting in his 2022 Tesla Model S when he activated the car’s camera-based advanced driver assist system and according to his statements to police, began looking through his phone. With nobody paying attention to the car’s actions, the Tesla software ignored Jeffrey Nissen on his motorcycle and continued on at speed. The car rear-ended the two-wheeler, Nissen was flung from the bike, and his life ended pinned underneath the electric car, where he was still lodged when police arrived to the scene.

Tesla claims another life.

Reminder that even if you are personally aware of how dangerous Tesla vehicles are and vow to never ride in one, they can still kill you.

My own driving habits have changed around them. I always give Teslas extra space, avoid following them directly, and expect them to stop or swerve suddenly without notice.

Cannot count the times I've pulled up next to a Tesla at freeway speed, noticed the driver playing on their phone. Tap the horn. They look up with surprise.

Today is Armenian genocide remembrance day. On april 24, 1915 started mass deportations of hundreds of Armenian intelectuals and community leaders, who were (most of the time) eventually killed. Armenian women and children were systematically r//ed and forcibly converted into islam. There were more than 2 milion Armenians in ottoman empire prior to ww1, 1,5 milion of them were viciously killed. Three millennia of Armenian civilaziation in eastern Anatolis was fully destroyed. Turkey today refuses to acknowledge genocides of christian minorities in early 20th century.

Do you know that mass ethnic cleansing of Armenians in ottoman empire inspired Lemkin to coin the term 'genocide'?

Last year in september azerbaijan allied with turkey initiated a war against Armenia. More that 5000 Armenians were murdered, thousands of Armenia families had to live their ancestrial land to not get murdered. There are hundreds of vids on internet where armenian p.o.w.s are tortured. Recently azerbaijan opened a "museum" displayind dead or dying Armenians and kids were allowed to visit it.

I'm gonna be honest I don't give a flying fuck if every single Palestinian is violently homophobic, which they're not, they still don't deserve to go through genocide. How DARE you try to use queer oppression as a stepping stone for your argument on why ethnic cleansing is a good thing, you make me genuinely sick.

This isn't a 'oh, but there are queer Palestinians!' post, because obviously there are but even if there aren't, PALESTINIANS STILL DON'T DESERVE TO DIE. My sweet little Violeta has Feline Hepatic Lipidosis and damage in her kidneys (something we didn’t even know), and at the moment she’s got a reserved diagnostic ;; Her liver is very damaged, and I couldn’t hospitalize her because it was way too expensive, (more than it was at the beginning) but since she’s eating (albeit a bit forced but still) and keeps her little kitty lifestyle I was approved to treat her at home for now. I was able to buy all her meds and special food for her, so thank you so much for helping me, kind B, who donated for her and for helping us out so much 🩷

I just hope it gets better from now, I don’t want her to suffer 😞
