girls learn to watch themselves in third person so they can constantly fix their laugh and smile and hair and dancing and speech in hopes they can transform into a different person that someone will love and girls fear that if anyone sees them in their most candid self then they will be deemed unlovable and I’m so exhausted from practicing my smile in the mirror but girls also know that the ability to be loved is synonymous with their worth
it’s weird cause one direction is still right there but they’re not ??? and I’m like oh I miss liam, even though I see him every day but it’s not the same ???????? I miss one direction so goddamn much???????????
yesterday this girl in my academic writing class sits down next to me and puts 3 bananas on the desk (which was jarring by itself) and i had two bananas in my backpack so i wanted to see if she would notice if i added those to her banana pile when she wasn’t looking and when she finally looked back at the bananas she sighed and said really quietly to herself “oh my god…i have so many…” and put all five of them in her backpack
shout out to people with insomnia who are scared of passing out / hallucinating / not functioning, or any other ugly side effect from sleeping way too little. (chronic) insomnia is often romanticized and normalized, making it seem like it’s something mild. in reality the lack of sleep can wreck your health and severely affect the quality of your life. if you’re struggling with insomnia know that you’re not weak if you don’t know how to cope or are scared, and know that you’re not alone!
