Dear friends, customers and industry partners. Morrison here. I have been owner and operator of Neat Neat Neat records for the last decade, alongside my amazing wife Danielle for the last 4-ish of those. Through the ups and downs of this business, the experience has been firmly a net positive all the way around. As I am moving to the next adventure in my life in building a consumer audio company, we have reached the decision that NNN will need to transition to a new owner, primarily so that I can have the time available to develop our product line. This decision does not come lightly. Fort Wayne has been amazing to us, and we feel indebted to the community who has, quite frankly, built NNN and gave it room to thrive. It is why it was very important to Danielle and I that we not simply sell off the assets of NNN and close what has become a destination point in our fair city, but to transfer the ownership to a competent, experienced individual who has the same passion in this industry that we do, and to give them the tools to not only be successful, but to create an even better store. Folks, meet Chris Roets. You may know him as the owner of Entourage Music, which was located in Glenbrook Mall. When he was unjustly forced to leave due to FYE wanting to sign a long term lease with the caveat that the lease for Entourage not be renewed we, and many of you, were furious. It left a gaping hole in the culture of physical media that we ALL worked hard to develop. I never looked at Chris as a competitor, but as a partner in culture creation, and most importantly, as a friend whom I could bounce ideas off of and visit to talk about our industry. Since then, Chris has done an AMAZING job as the GM of Wooden Nickel on Jefferson. He has generated new life and energy in that store and we fully expect he will do the same thing here at NNN. He is VERY experienced, and quite frankly, he'll do a better job of the day to day operations of running a retail store than I do. He is doing this for all the right reasons, and I feel very thankful to him for seeing the potential in continuing NNN. Please see the rest of our message below. I feel that it is time that we come public with our intentions and the future of NNN. I am starting a new company that I am very excited about, and that shows a lot of promise. In order to put my full efforts behind this new venture, Danielle and I have decided that I will need to step away from Neat Neat Neat, which means selling it. This decision does not come lightly. NNN has been my lifes work thus far, and my intention is to see it continue to flourish under new ownership. We are actively pursuing a buyer for the entire hard assets, the logo and branding, our 2 way liquor license, all web assets and the like. Our preference is to find someone who feels compelled to take what we have built here and run further with it than we would be able to. The purchase also includes our consultation to make the transition happen as smoothly as possible, for as long as it would need to happen for the new owner. We are considering SERIOUS inquiries only. The prospective buyer would need to show that they have the capital to not only purchase the business (under our very generous terms), but that they would have plenty of operating capital to grow the business and curate the way that they see fit. We have a fairly aggressive timeline to get this moving, meaning I would like to see the new owner have an incredible 2019 Christmas season. With this in mind, we will not be taking part in RSDBF in terms of buying new Record Store Day titles. We will, of course, be open and celebrating with live music all day, food trucks and the like, but it does not make sense to make investments in thousands of dollars of new LPs while we are pursuing this course of action.
