@ncohi ~Issued a challenged the Beast King~

Once again, the demon was defeated by his rival who couldn’t even finish the job, this caused resentment to only build up inside of him towards the other. Kirinmaru vowed that the dog demon would suffer the same humiliation ten fold that he had suffered with his defeats. Luckily for him, he decided against bringing Rion, unlike last time, when she was forced to watch their battle and her father losing. Zero was right in his daughter suffering as well, but he couldn’t dare to bring her out until he could defeat him.

He needed to grow stronger to protect his child. However, unknown to him a human was nearby that might have witness the whole battle or even just his humiliation he laid on the ground bleeding out in a puddle of his own blood.

When the eastern ruler finally could sense the other, he growled like a wounded animal. He wasn’t in a good mood to be messed with by others as he wanted to be alone for him to wallow in self pity. “Leave!”

the  moment  the  sky  &  earth  suffered  an  abrupt  change  ,  midoriko  knew .  whenever  the  sky  wept  &  the  clouds  clashed  ;  the  earth  shook  &  the  seas  raise  to  meet  the  sky..  the  gods  wept  or  a  battle  between  giants  threatened  to  split  the  soil  apart .  how  big  her  surprise  was  when  she  came  face  to  face  with  the  source  (  or  what  seemed  to  be  one  of  them  ;  given  that  only  one  remained .  )

despite  his  commanding  voice  ,  midoriko  took  it  upon  herself  to  do  the  opposite .  in  calm  strides  ,  the  priestess  approached  until  she  deemed  the  distance  respectful  ;  her  hand  reaching  inside  her  breastplate  to  retrieve  a  handkerchief  &  offer  it  to  him  as  she  stretched  her  arm  out  ,  firm  &  patient  as  she  waited .  she  was  a  demon  slayer  ,  a  defensor  of  humans  whose  lives  were  in  constant  threat  in  the  eyes  of  the  supernatural  forces  far  away  to  be  understood  ;  but  she  was  also  a  priestess..  watching  the  other  bleed  was  proof  enough  for  her  brown  eyes  to  realize  that  they  were  not  so  different  after  all .  

❛   if  you  clean  your  wounds  ,  i  might  reconsider  your  request .   ❜  she  said  ;  her  tone  calm  &  cool  ,  with  a  slight  touch  of  indifference  despite  her  means  to  help  him .  ❛   your  kind  is  attracted  to  power  &  thus  seek  it  out  recklessly .  it  won’t  be  long  until  one  or  more  youkai  smell  your  blood  &  approach  to  cling  to  it  like  vermin .  shall  you  refuse  ,  rest  assured  i’ll  leave  ;  but  not  until  i’ve  purified  this  soil .   ❜
