The trail was steep, rocky and unfamiliar. The light autumn mist which had been so pleasant earlier in the day had transformed into a cold downpour. Dread, which had been threatening to overtake me for the last several miles finally came crashing in waves as the sun set behind the trees. I wish I had packed a raincoat.  

True story and it got worse before we made it back to civilization. Nature can be terrifying.
