So what about the Contax I?

This camera is from 1934, I think, and it is still working like a charm. I had to replace the Mirror for the rangefinder, tho. The silver had disapered through the years. I really love this camera. It is small, easy to load with it's removeble back, and it is heavy. Mine is heavely used and look att that brassing!

With the 50mm f:1.5 it is a dream to shoot.

My thoughts on the Nikon SP

The classic Nikon SP, S for the rangefinder series and the P for professional. It is one of the most iconic cameras of all time and the legacy became ground breaking in the photography world. The most advanced rangefinder of all time. Buy using a sort of fiberoptics in the viewfinder you get to choose between 4 different focal length, 5, 8.5, 10.5 and 13.5 cm. Then you got an additional Finder for your 3.5 and 2.8 cm lenses. All and all 5(!) Framelines in all. The framelines in the main viewfinder is colour coded, just to make it easier for you as a user. Nikon went all the way with this one and made their best rangefinder ever. Additional to the high tec view finder, the camera also features a selftimer that allowed you to take pictures of the whole family, optional motor drive. Titanium shutter curtains, on the later models, became Nikons standard shutter from now on. So how is this camera to use? Its smoth, easy going and absolutely fantastic. You can feel the quality between your fingers, when you crank it up and fires away. The way the whole back comes of the body makes it easy and quick to reload. Most reviewers talk about the quality of the photos taken with the SP. I have to say that the quality of the photos depends on the lens, not the camera body. Of course you take better photots with a camera you really love and adore but the lenses are the ones that bring you those photots. So what kind of photots does the SP produce? Wonderfully, awesome, magnificent photots!!! (If you got the right lens fot the job😉)
