when i tell you i am obsessed....... I'm not joking. hozier is one of my fav artists so this doesn't come as a surprise but there's just so many layers to this song that just make me go into a spiral every time i listen to it. the reference to greek mythology? the indecent tone of the bridge? the beat? oh. OH.

Favorite Color: Lilac

It really changes all the time lol I'm just a colour girly. it something that can change daily based on the overall mood/vibes. i used to be obsessed with orange but now i kinda find it a bit too harsh idk idk. i also love baby blue - idek if that's the right name for that shade

Last Movie: The Pale Blue Eye

I kinda fell asleep while watching it - not because it was necessarily boring but bc the pacing was a bit slow.. also I was cozy on the sofa so that definitely didn't help. it's based on an edgar allan poe book, which makes the plot automatically good, but do expect a period piece.

Sweet/spicy/savory: Sweet

can't handle spicy food at all. i do have a sweet tooth and i absolutely adore chocolate - i very rarely find things too sweet to consume (i put a lot of sugar in my coffee too). however, my toxic trait is craving something salty right after having consumed the most tooth-rotting food. idk.

Relationship status: Taken

i don't say this often here and i don't think that transpires from my writing, but i am, actually, in an healthy & happy relationship. it's that kind of relationship that will either end in marriage or in me never actually recovering from heartbreak. we will celebrate our 4th anniversary this year but we have known each other since we were kids.. there are just so many invisible strings tying us together it's like the universe intended us to be together - but that's a story for another time. so yeah, very happily in love with the loml. <3

Oh this is tough….. I was teetering between spicy and savory but ultimately landed on savory cause I’m just baby when it comes to spice 😭 like I like it when my food has a kick to it but I’ll always love myself a good steak with some A1 sauce or some tacos from this good taco shop down the street like I can live without spicy but I can’t live without savory

So for over a month and a half I’ve been told in my Creative writing MA class that my writing is too poetic and abstract to work in the form of a novel and that I need to simplify my meanings and sentences. I did as I was told and lost all interest in writing if I have to write in the same style that every other novelist does. Today I received this note from a classmate and didn’t realise how much I needed to hear it. Don’t change your art just because other people don’t get it. Don’t change your style to fit in with everyone else. It’s your story not theirs.
